The Primordial Record - Chapter 2056 A Journey To The Future

Chapter 2056 A Journey To The Future
The Primordials could not survive in this world of death without any bit of Origin power inside their bodies, but the Kindling of Circe could collect anything as its fuel, even nothingness itself, and while there was no Origin power in this dead world, there was enough energy of death that the kindling could burn as bright as a star.
This burning Kindling performed only one purpose: it burned itself out to create Origin Essence, and this essence, even if it was the smallest droplet, fed the flames of the Kindling, and it burned brighter, drawing the power of death from all over the dead world and siphoning it into the Kindling.
With a loud crack that could be heard for miles, the Kindling burst into a bright light that swallowed the body of Circe, and when this light vanished, her eyes were open.
She looked around, and at first she seemed to be shocked by the changes in the body of Victorious Genesis, and then her eyes tightened as she looked into the sky, as a sense of recognition fell into her mind.
Her awakening had caused a void to surround them where the energy of death and other unknown energy existed, and this gave the two Primordials beside her the chance to awaken also.
Inside their bodies, their Origin Force ignited from ashes, and essence began to flow through their bodies. In a second, they had regained consciouness and their powers were rapidly returning.
The second Primordial to awaken was Fury, the Primordial of Resurrection, and he was the second choice of Serene Ascension, as his Origin Force was considered to be crucial in this trip.
His importance displayed itself because, as he awakened, he immediately looked behind him to see nothing but ten thousand skulls, all with different shapes and sizes… it was all that remained of the ten thousand Old Ones that came with them.
Fury looked behind him with sadness in his eyes that quickly vanished as he radiated the power of his concept, causing a twelve colored flame domain to erupt out of his body that covered a few hundred miles.
The eruption of this domain caused Victorious Genesis to open his eyes, and the first thing he did was to look at his arms, no longer those of a child; he was now like a golden statue, and for a moment, he was lost for words. He sensed the current power of his Origin Force, and a bittersweet smile touched his lips.
For so long, he had been trying to reach the fourth layer of his Origin, and now he had reached it when he was not even trying, beside him he could sense that the two Primordials with him had also reached the fourth level of Origin.
Before they left, Fury, Circe, and he had been at the third level of their Origin, and to discover that they had all reached the peak of their cultivation in the blink of an eye was astonishing. Just this benefit alone made the trip worthwhile despite the risk.
Victorious Genesis was about to look behind him when he felt the tremors of life as ten thousand Old Ones were resurrected from death. He was not too surprised because he knew that the domain of Fury could endlessly resurrect any lifeform below the Primordial level as long as they had not been dead for a long time, and a part of them remained.
For this trip, Fury had collected the pieces of every Old One soul who accompanied them, and so even if there were no pieces of them remaining, he could always resurrect them from the pieces of souls he had with him.
Victorious Genesis looked around this dead world, like Circe before him, he was only using his eyes, because the fastest way to announce their presence was to cast their senses out into the world, and like her, his eyes fell upon what was in the sky and he froze in shock, before a shockwave of pure Origin Force erupted behind him, and he glanced around to see one of the Old Ones ascending to become a Primordial.
In any other time, this would be great news to be celebrated, but not here, and especially not now.
Victorious Genesis looked at his companion, and they were all thinking the same thing. They could not interrupt the Old One becoming a Primordial because they needed the extra power that this would bring, but they also could not stay here, because their presence had most likely drawn the attention of whatever killed this world and did… that.
Above them was the massive head of an Archai; it was so large that it had covered half the sky. The head was missing its body, and the dead eyes of the Archai bulged out in fury and pain, from the rough tearing in the neck; the head had been forcefully pulled out from the body.
The knowledge of the Archai was known only to a few Primordials; in fact, the three of them here only learned of the Archai barely a million years ago, and it was purely by chance, and the fact that the Archai had revealed its presence to them. It was almost as if this meeting was fated because the head of the Archai floating above them was the same as the one they met.
So, did they succeed? Were they in the future? Channeling a cloak that linked with Fury and Circe, they covered all the ten thousand Old Ones, including the ascending Primordial, but they knew that this would not bring any lasting effect.
They could shield the Primordial when he was still questioning his heart and finding who he was and wanted to be, and when he accepted the concept he was going to fuse with, the Tribulation would come, and not even Eos was capable of shielding the Tribulation of a Primordial so its emanations do not ripple outward.
“We need to move,” Fury suddenly spoke, “Something is watching us, and they do not seem like friends.”
Victorious Genesis gritted his teeth in irritation and spoke out, “If we have been discovered, then there is no use holding back; we need to understand our situation.
Saying this, he unleashed his perception, and this was shortly followed by Circe and Fury, and what he saw made him pale.
“We are not going to make it,” he whispered.
