The Primordial Record - Chapter 2060 The Perfect Team

Chapter 2060 The Perfect Team
The death of a Primordial, especially one as powerful as Victorious Genesis, should have shaken all of Existence, and it did, but there were at the end of all things, and time no longer existed.
This was an age of utter bleakness, because while Victorious Genesis’ death may have bought them a little time, the number of Existence-eating insects was incalculable, and more were detaching themselves from the borders of Existence and descending towards the small group below.
It was in that moment that Circe was able to see the walls of Existence, and if the last livable space was like a small pond, then what remained of Existence surrounding this pond resembled a beehive.
These creatures did not seem to be devouring Existence as they once believed; they seemed to be transforming it instead. Yet what they were transforming was made out of nothingness.
“What sort of monstrous existence created these creatures?”
Circe did not have much time to contemplate this thought because they were in danger, and one reason she, Fury, and Victorious Genesis were selected was because of the unique effect that could be created when the three of them combined their powers.
Origin Forces were unique, but in special circumstances, they could be brought together to create something either spectacular or useless.
After Eos, the Grand Creator, not many would claim to understand Origin in great depth, but Serene Ascension was rapidly learning. He was a genius unlike any other in history, and like Eos, he had mastered multiple Origins, but unlike Eos, he could not fuse those Origins with his body, and so he began an experiment to create a new body.
Part of the Origin Forces he mastered were those of Endless Kindling, Resurrection, and Victorious Genesis.
Of course, since their true owners were alive and in a higher layer, he could not fully master these Origins, but he mastered all three up to the third layer. There was a reason Prime knew that Serene Ascension could be the most powerful Primordial in Existence if only he was interested in battle.
One of his experiments involved using these Origin Forces together to see what new effects could be born, and most of the time, these experiments were disappointing.
An Origin Force was perfect and complete, and even an offshoot of their essence could hardly breed anything good when combined with other Origin Forces.
Serene Ascension had heard from Eos about the unique talent of Nyxara that could not just collect multiple Origin Forces in her body, but also combined them to create something new, and Serene Ascension nearly went insane with jealousy. His master, Prime, would often think that he indeed went insane.
However, during one of his experiments, he combined the power of Endless Kindling and Resurrection on the Origin of Victorious Genesis, and he was astonished at the result.
It was endless resurrection, even if the Origin of Victorious Genesis was fully shattered! There was a mental price to pay as well as a toll on the soul that could not be easily regained, but with these three together, it would take a lot to kill them.
He had submitted his findings to Eos, and although he was pleased with this discovery, he was still worried because it meant that if his gamble with Primordial Soul succeeds, Nyxara may gain new abilities that may be impossible to counter, but that was a problem for the future.
Serene Genesis had submitted these experiments to Fury, Circe, and Victorious Genesis, and so, with the death of Victorious Genesis, they were not in despair and quickly began their preparation.
Circe and Fury moved as one unit; after all the time they had spent together, their thoughts were as one.
In the spot where Victorious Genesis had perished, there was a light golden mist that could be seen as the tears of Existence, even if there was nothing much left of it, Existence still wept for her glorious children.
The Primordial of Endless Kindling extended her hands; her endless flames poured into the mist and kindled it, drawing sparks from the void to reignite the core. “Burn again,” she whispered, pouring her own essence into the embers.
Her unique Origin Force did not require her to sacrifice her Origin Force when it could draw energy from even nothingness.
Flames danced, weaving heat into structure, fueling the rebirth with her inexhaustible fire. Fury was following the process closely, and when he saw the flames of Circe beginning to take shape, he laid his misty veil over the growing form, pulling threads of existence from his reserves of power. “Rise,” he commanded, his power of resurrection binding the sparks into flesh, armor, and wings, and in that Primordial contain, the soul of Victorious Genesis was reborn.
He reformed, gasping, weakened, his golden light paler than before, but he was Victorious Genesis, and reawakening for him was a sort of rebirth, and so when other Primordial would be weakened for an extended amount of time, his Origin Essence was refilled to the brim, and except a sear in his core as if his soul has been branded, the Primordial of Victorious Genesis, without being resurrected by Eos had come back to life!
This was not all, because their Essence had been connected with those of Victorious Genesis as he resurrected from death, they also enjoyed the benefits of his unique concept, and their essence and energy levels were topped up to the brim.
When Serene Ascension had told them how powerful the three of them would be if they worked together, they had not fully believed him, but with the evidence on the ground, they had no way to refute it any longer. They made the perfect team.
“I live!” Victorious Genesis roared to the heavens, and seeing the threat had not ended, but more were descending, he continued, “and all of you will die.”
Below, Fury rolled his eyes, “Cool it hotshot.”
Victorious Genesis smiled and looked into himself, observing the sear inside his core, and his eyes went a bit grim because he detected the essence of death inside him.
There was a cost to this resurrection that was greater than they anticipated, and he could not cheat death forever. Still, no matter what happened, he knew he just needed to fight for long enough before they were drawn back into the past.
The process of his resurrection had taken moments, but in those moments, the Swarm had already regrouped. The tide surged back, invincible as ever, their numbers undiminished. Insects poured through the fresh gaps left by the backlash of Victorious Genesis final move.
Harsh clicking sounds resounded from the descending insects that almost sounded like mockery.
“Again,” Genesis rasped, his voice hoarse from the touch of death upon his soul. He charged forward without hesitation, wings beating feebly as he met the renewed onslaught.
The cycle repeated, but this time the danger had grown, because the insects that were descending were bigger and more ferocious, almost as if they had been fighting the children before.
Existence shook as they swarmed down like a living nebula of chitin and hunger. The battle grew white-hot in an instant. The three Primordials had been brought to their peak by the resurrection of Victorious Genesis, and so they burned their Origin without holding back
The Old Ones watching the battle could barely last for a fraction of a nanosecond before they were all blasted to nothing and resurrected. The power that was erupting from the three Primordial was like nothing they had ever witnessed, and it shocked them to their core.
“We are the children of Eos!” Victorious Genesis roared as he shot out a beam of golden light from his chest that vaporized trillions of insects, “Even at the end of all things, our light remains forever!”
