The Primordial Record - Chapter 2070 The Sum of His Lives

Chapter 2070 The Sum of His Lives
The strand of Eos’s consciousness flowed over to the Field of Elysium, but none of the 645 prospective candidates for Primordials could detect him.
He took the form of a large golden eagle and flew over the Field of Elysium, which resembled a garden that stretched across a galaxy-sized space.
For a higher-dimensional being, a space of this size was meaningless, and it could be crossed in the blink of an eye, but this place was special as a rule had been instituted upon it that banned higher dimensional travel, restricting the highest dimension here to the third dimension.
If anyone wanted to move across this garden, they would have to depend on themselves to fly through the third-dimensional space, and for Old Ones, this meant a journey of about nine hours.
The reason this garden was created was to give the Primordial Candidate a space where they could be able to understand themselves without the noise of the higher dimension intruding into their thoughts.
Many Old Ones had forgotten what it was like to be mortal, or to have the only sound in your head to be that of your own thoughts.
With power over the dimension of space, time, and memory. The minds of Old Ones were a storm, and only their powerful souls gave them the power to keep everything in place.
Inside the Field of Elysium, they could find the mysteries of Existence displayed without being covered. A pool could contain the laws of water, heat, thermodynamics, and so many other laws.
The ground they were stepping on could show them the law of creation, growth, or stability, and this was the same thing for every piece of material, organic or inorganic, that could be found in the Field of Elysium.
In this place of silence, because most of the Primordial Candidates did not bother to speak to each other, they just meditated or roamed the fields, looking for inspiration.
Because that was the main goal of this place, to inspire.
Crossing into the Primordial level meant your state was fixed forever, as you had chosen your Origin. In essence it was as if you had chosen how you wanted to be created anew… Origin… Creation.
Would your Origin be that of a stone, solid and unshaking, to become a Primordial of Unshakable Resolve, or would it flow like the waves?
In Elysium, a Primordial Candidate was given one last chance to check their heart and confirm if the path they wanted to take was truly their own. Usually, if it were, then they would gravitate to the place inside Elysium that was closely tied to their concept.
Eos had not been the one who made the Field of Elysium, although some may argue that it was he, due to the fact that the creator of this place came from his body, but he knew how to give credit to whom credit was due.
His eagle form crossed the Field of Elysium, moving faster than anything should be able to in a third dimensional space until it came to a small hut built beside a gentle flowing river.
Sitting in front of the hut and writing in a large book was a beautiful woman wearing a golden green dress, and for a fleeting moment, it was as if he was seeing his mother, Elura, but that moment passed as the woman looked up and saw him as an Eagle, and she smiled,
“Father, have you come to visit me or to see the prospective candidates?”
The eagle form shifted until it took the body of a man, although Eos made the body without any flesh, just light in the rough shape of a man.
This light form descended and sat beside his daughter, “Serathis, I primarily came to see you. It’s been a while since we last talked, and I can see you are very busy with your project. Tell me all about it… this strand of consciousness would always remain at your side.”
His bloodline that controlled luck looked at him a bit in disbelief, and then she smiled widely, “Father, I know you are extremely busy during this period. Can you afford to keep any strand of your consciousness away from your tasks?”
Eos chuckled, “Silly girl, the reason I was not with you from the beginning was to give you the opportunity to find your own path, and now that you have, then I will stay by your side for as long as you want me to. There are many things I regret in my life, places I should have been, and people that I should have spent a little more time with, so know this Serathis, I will never leave your side,” he paused, “And this strand of my consciousness being by your side would not affect the overall state of preparation.”
Serathis sniffled, threw her arms around her father, and began to cry.
Her perception was different from everyone else, seeing cause and effect, probability and luck, and despite the growth of the Origin Realms, all she could see surrounding her father was an endless tide of destruction, so massive that she could not see where it began or where it ended.
She could throw all her powers against it and burn herself to death, and still she knew nothing would change. All of this pressure was falling on one person alone, and he endured it without making a single word of complaint.
He was the one who gave to others, and yet he denied everything for himself. Why was existence so cruel?
Serathis wept, and Eos held her in his arms; his quiet strength was enough, and after a while, she pulled away from him in embarrassment and coughed,
“I am no longer a child, and I should not be crying in this manner.”
Eos smiled, “Everyone is a child in my eyes, even the Ancient Primordials; these days, they no longer seem so ancient anymore.”
Serathis looked at her father in shock and suspicion, her golden eyes squinted, and she gasped, seeing the true aura of time surrounding him, leaving her speechless for a while.
Not counting the fact that all of Eos’s Incarnation lived separate lives, and their years were being added to his own. He was also fond of stretching time and going back in time to learn from the past, and with the addition of his Incarnation that went far back in the past… the totality of years that now surrounded Eos like a shroud was deeply astonishing, since he was the only one in Existence who could become like this.
Any other immortals who had Incarnations would not be able to add the sum of their years to their main body; however, Eos’s weight of Existence was so dense that the lives of his Incarnations were deeply connected to him.
Most would not imagine that Eos was slowly becoming an Ancient monster that may soon be older than all of his enemies combined if things continued in this manner.
It was unknown if this sort of great age would have any effect at all, but Serathis could feel a sort of invisible weight growing around her father, and for a moment, she was scared.
