The Primordial Record - Chapter 2104 Would You Take This Chance?

Chapter 2104 Would You Take This Chance?
Through the memory thread that connected him with Nyxara, Eos could almost feel the gluttonous desire from Nyxara as she responded to his words,
“Are you going to be using your children as bait? I did not expect that from you.”
Eos scoffed, “You wish. No, in this situation, I have something better. We use the Beast of Final Rest as bait.”
“That has occurred to me,” Nyxara sighed, “But whatever methods that Beast employs are beyond me; I cannot pursue it into the layers of Existence that it moves through. Even though it is broken and leaking Origin Force from its near-dissipation.”
“Well, it is a good thing that I have been in contact with the Beast,” Eos replied and waited for Nyxara’s swears of anger to pass, before he continued, “I will contact it. Promise it salvation, a place to hide while it recovers. The deer is arrogant enough to believe I would rather use it than kill it.”
“And why are you not,” Nyxara said, “Using it rather than killing it?”
Eos smiled, and although there was no reason to, he chose to answer her question, “The Beast is my enemy, and removing it from the board serves me better than keeping it by my side. I cannot trust it, and that is the same for the Beast. I only have one chance to invite the Beast, and I am choosing to use the opportunity to kill it.”
“You could have made it your ally. A cooperation born from necessity.” Nyxara countered.
“And when it is done, what’s next?” Eos pointed out, “I am allying with you in this matter, but you are still my enemy, and after this is over, we will return to kill each other. I cannot trust the Beast enough to bring it into my service.”
After a while, Nyxara sent her agreement, “Okay, how do we play this?”
“The Beast is wounded, and when it does not expect it, I will attack and bring it to the verge of true death.” He sensed Nyxara trying to speak, but he settled her confusion with his next words, “I understand how to break the Beast Nyxara, and will hurt it in just the right amounts that its dying emanations flood Limbo like blood in water. Now this is where your part is important… To prevent that Golem from returning, you have to be at the right position to absorb all the karma from the dying emanations of the Beast, and you shall channel small portions of it in a way to draw Elgorath and Xyris.”
Nyxara hummed in agreement, “Holding all of that karma would be difficult, and getting Elgorath and Xyris to pursue the dying Beast alone is the easy part. They would not want to share with others.”
“Okay then, if that is the case, the matter is settled. Prepare yourself, I will begin setting the stage. In a hundred thousand years, it shall be ready.”

With the upcoming plan, Eos became extremely busy, and one of the things that took up most of his attention was remaking the foundation of all his Reflections.
Because his main body was the Origin Land, remaking his foundation would take time just because of his sheer size.
The good thing was that with his understanding of Origin, the minute part of him had its own sentience, and it could follow instructions even without him supervising it.
He was also working on reshaping the foundations of all the Primordials and the Origin Realms, and for the next eighty thousand years, his head was buried in this task.
Eos had given Nyxara a time frame of a hundred thousand years just because he wanted all of this time for reshaping his foundation and not for setting a trap for Death. That part was rather easy because he already had a place like that ready.
As he worked, his mind could not help but think about the plan, and he found it odd that Nyxara had not even questioned him about picking Elgorath as one of the Primordials to die.
It was a small detail, but Eos made it a habit to always look at the smallest details because inside them was the devil’s deceit.
He knew that Elgorath and Nyxara had a problem, and it was not a normal kind of problem. However, he did not know if these Primordials were also aware of this problem or if they were just pawns.
Whatever would happen in the coming future was bound to be interesting, and Eos needed to be ready for any changes.
It was time for him to poke the hand hidden in the darkness to see what would poke back.
In the last ten thousand years before the appointed date, Eos began focusing on the trap he would use for Death.
What sort of realm would the Beast find comfortable to hide and rest?
A million possibilities went through his mind and Eos paused at one of the options, and then he smiled… this one would do.
Years passed, and the day approached that would spark the war to end all wars, and Eos was speaking to his Primordials. He had been with them for months as they travelled through the Origin Realms and discussed all the challenges they were facing alongside the oncoming war.
Serene Ascension was not failing to remind him that the three Primordials he had sent to the future would be returning any day now, and advised Eos not to make any great changes to the war effort before they returned.
He was sitting in a gathering with nearly a thousand Primordials, and Telmus was beside him, showing him a stunning combination attack formation he had created that would get more powerful the more Primordials were added to it.
This was his response to their weakness against top-level threats like the Ancient Primordials, and Eos was amazed at the ingenuity in his designs. Excusing himself for a moment, while telling Telmus that he would be back after a while to continue their discussion, Eos moved outside the hall, and he vanished, reappearing far from the Origin Realms.
He turned to look behind him and saw that Limbo had further shrunken, and now, even with the barrier he had placed over the Origin Realms, the New Primordials were able to perceive it, like a heavy cloud covering the entirety of the Origin Realms.
This was what happened when all of the evil that was spread all over Existence began to contract.
What was amazing was that Existence for the first time in a long time now felt… clean.
Because of the coming war, End was gathering all of Limbo to surround the Origin Realms, and it had removed its hold on the rest of Existence. This gave Existence a chance to breathe clean air for the first time in forever, and Eos could begin to glimpse what Existence might have been without the madness of the Ancient Primordials.
Sighing in reflection, he sent a stream of thought to Death that was perfectly tailored to the Beast’s wounded pride.
“I have thought about your words, Death, and so I offer sanctuary and recovery. A chance to walk End’s road from a position of strength instead of flight. Would you take this chance?”
