The Primordial Record - Chapter 2149 The Silver Flame

Chapter 2149 The Silver Flame
Rowan took a step into it, and the total understanding of this layer became his. He touched this layer of light, and his entire Origin Core underwent transubstantiation.
This meant that Rowan ceased to become a wielder of light and to become light, in the most fundamental sense.
For him now, this is the end of all journeys into radiance, and the beginning of something that has no name.
Inside the core of his Origin, where there should be nothing but light, Rowan saw a spot that was almost solid, and immediately, he felt an ache in his soul that almost made him doubt himself.
He slowly walked towards this unknown inside his core, and he heard music, and breathing, and as he came closer, this unknown resolved itself into a flame… a burning silver flame.
Rowan gasped and muttered, “It cannot be.”
There were a few things that caused him to feel overwhelmed, and seeing this silver flame inside of his Origin Core at the fifth layer of Light caused him to doubt his sight for a moment.
Rowan reached for the flame, and his smallest finger shook a tiny amount. He touched the silver flame, and before his eyes, it transformed into a sleeping boy, with bright white hair, red cheeks and lips, and even while sleeping, the child pushed his face closer to Rowan’s hand.
Rowan gasped, “I understand… I cannot die until it is done.”
At the moment, his Origin Core shuddered, flexed, and expanded until it filled up his entire body.
The body of Primordial Light shattered and was replaced by his Origin Core, but this happened so fast that no one here was aware of this transformation, although all of the Incarnations could tell what had just happened because of the connection they all shared.
What just happened was that the body of an Incarnation was too weak to hold the fifth layer of Origin, and so at the moment Primordial Light passed through the doorway of the fifth layer of Origin, his body was gone, and this Origin Force and Essence would begin to disperse.
It meant he barely had a short time to keep his Origin together, and originally Rowan was going to slow down Luminious Silence as much as possible, allowing the rest of the Incarnation to move on, but he could no longer die.
He had too much to protect.
Primordial Space created the Origin Realms when he reached the fifth layer, which was a miracle, but it would not happen every time; there was a possibility that this miracle would happen or it would not happen.
Lost, one of the first of his children, had returned to him after he had given his all to grant Rowan victory. Origin had given him a blessing, and who was he to spit in the face of such a blessing?
No child should have to die before their father, and Rowan would not allow this to happen… not again.
The transformation to reach the fifth layer was instantaneous; his life was coming to an end, and the blade of Luminious Silence was descending upon them. Waves of silence blasted towards the Incarnation, and Primordial Light released a radiance from his body that carved through this silence like it was nothing.
This wave of light blasted out from his body, and the staircase that he stood upon, which was as large as Existence, began to transform. Each stair that was illuminated by his light revealed new horrors disguised as beauty.
The power of Luminious Silence had transformed this layer of their eternal tower into a space of horror where his twisted ideals about creation were unleashed; however, these things were not meant to see the light, and as they were exposed, they shrieked in silence before collapsing to ash.
The blade of Luminious Silence reached Primordial Light and slammed into his upraised palm.
For one eternal instant, he felt the temptation: the relief of simply letting go, of dimming his blaze into a gentle night-light for dreaming universes. The Lumina of Luminious Silence was meant to lay Primordials to their eternal rest, a blade against the quest for true eternal life.
The staircase around his legs exploded, creating shockwaves that blasted the Incarnations around him back, and if this were a thousand realities, it would have shattered to ash from the shock alone.
Primordial Light palm was pushed back, the blade pressing down upon him with all the power of eternal extinction, and he roared, and it sounded like the cry of a trillion Big Bangs.
“Not enough!”
Primordial Light grabbed the blade, and it cut through half of his hand, but this body was just pure Origin Essence that had evolved.
From that cut came a light that flooded through the entire blade, transforming it into light, and this light exploded with a radiance that was like every sunrise that had ever scorched Existences. This light revolved around itself until it became a single beam of light that fell into the hand of Primordial Light, and he glanced at it for a moment, then, pulling on the power of his second layer, the Essence layer that had the power to animate, the beam of light he held transformed into a spear that had a phoenix of light circling around its shaft.
The gigantic face of Luminious Silence was at first confused, and then realization entered his eyes, and he opened his mouth to speak when Primordial Light took a step forward and threw the spear.
There was no travel time between when the spear left his hand and when it touched its target. If it had happened, it would have happened so fast that no one here could have seen it.
The Spear made from the transcendental power of light slammed into the right eye of Luminious Silence, and a great scream burst out of his mouth, and the face instantly vanished.
Luminious Silence could have been terribly wounded if his main body were here, but the face could be seen as an Incarnation, and so to prevent any damage from occurring to his main body, he simply dismissed it.
“We need to hurry,” Primordial Light muttered, “I don’t have much time.”
