The Primordial Record - Chapter 2173 I Do Not Care

Chapter 2173 I Do Not Care
THE HOLLOW.
When the Ancient Primordials were dying, he had begun to sense the transformation around Nyxara, but he had questions that he needed answers to, and he consciously left her for last, and the interesting thing was that Eos had felt her leave the moment he raised his head up, as if Nyxara was playing games with her.
What sort of being was this that he felt was unlike a Primordial or a Luminious? Inside his consciousness, Eos was struggling to parse through the memories of Memory, but it was just too much, and he was aware that some answers may come too late… the only thing he could do at this time was to respond to the situation at hand, and hope for a breakthrough quickly enough.
Eos closed his eyes, although Nyxara had vanished, he was not afraid that she would escape; he had not forged this Hollow because he had nothing better to do.
His serpents had surrounded this entire place, effectively cutting it off from Existence, and if Nyxara wanted to escape, she would have to tear through the bodies of the serpents.
For a being of her power, it was possible to do this, but it would not be quick. His serpents were many things, but not having a thick body was not one of them, even if she was a Luminious; the bodies of his Ouroboros were not easily cut through.
He had not felt anything infiltrating through the bodies of his serpents, and that meant that Nyxara was still here with him, and the only reason she went invisible was that she required time… time to fully become.
The only problem here was that Eos did not want to give her more time. Nyxara had made a mistake. Before she vanished, she should have removed the Will of Mercy from her heart.
She had suppressed this Will, and yet, Eos had tampered with this Will before he gave it to her, and even though he could not see her traces, he could track the Will of Mercy through the paths in between space and time where Nyxara was hiding.
Eos opened his eyes, and his crown lit up, and his eyes fixed directly on Nyxara, and she must have detected his gaze because she began to move.
“You think you can escape?” Eos’s voice followed her across the void, through the layers of reality she was tearing through, into the spaces between spaces where even light could not reach, but even in this place, the bodies of his serpents were there, and she could not move through them.
He was not up to one hundred percent, but it should be enough. Eos crouched a bit, and…
“Boom!”… his body exploded after her.
Nyxara did not answer his taunt as she fled from him. She was moving faster than anything that had ever existed in this Existence. Her form was composed of stolen souls that fueled her endless malice, pulsing like a supernova, and, like a serpent shedding her skin, she began to unravel her body as she fled, shedding pieces of herself to slow Eos.
But Eos was faster, with his control over light and the power of speed; even Nyxara could not compare with him when he was fully focused on moving.
His arm reached through the layers of reality that Nyxara was tearing through and grasped. On his palm was his understanding of the essence of the soul, and with the heretical nature of Eos, even if he was not the Primordial of Soul, he was able to understand all four layers of Soul as well.
Now this was where things got wicked. Nyxara, despite being a Primordial of souls, did not have a higher understanding of the soul than Eos, but before now, she had all the advantages due to the fact that the Origin of Soul was under her control, and this Origin fueled her power.
However, with Eos’s understanding of the soul and the present power of his body, he had enough weight to forcefully bridge the gap between the power that Origin had given her and suppress her authority over souls.
There was also the fact that at this point, with so many Ancient Primordials dead, and the fact that right about this moment, his greatest secret that he had given Existence a soul had just emerged, the control that Nyxara had over her Origin of soul was slipping, and although she was shedding parts of her body to slow him down, the truth was that she had no choice but to do this as every Soul Origin she held was like a weight around her neck.
In his sight, Eos could see that she was constantly shedding soul origins, and in the core of Nyxara, he saw a pale light that was definitely not origin, and this light was growing the more soul origins that she was shedding.
However, this was not all; beside that pale light was another light orb, and it was shrinking.
Eos recognized this light, and he frowned. It was the core of Nyxara’s soul origin, and he instinctively knew that he did not want this core to fade because it was the only thing that was keeping Nyxara as she was.
His hand, holding all the understanding of Soul Origin, reached out, and he called upon this light. Alone, he would not be able to achieve this, but the power of Existence was behind him, and although it had not fully awakened, it could still instinctively follow Eos’s will, and with a sharp click that only he could hear, he touched the part of her that was real.
“You…” Nyxara’s voice cracked across a thousand frequencies at once, “…you cannot hold me. I am not like the others. I was never like the others. I am…”
“You are what you choose to be,” Eos said. “And I don’t care for it.”
His grip tightened, and Nyxara’s form began to crack; the two lights that were fused with each other began to slowly separate, as arcs of lightning so powerful that they could shatter realities exploded from her core.
