The Primordial Record - Chapter 2182 A Truth Worth Recording (6)

Chapter 2182 A Truth Worth Recording (6)
The soul of Existence did not answer. At this moment, he did not know if he even had the strength to reply if he wanted to. All he knew was that it was a miracle that he had lasted this long, and the possibility of enduring for any moment longer was bleak.
Yet, despite all this, Eos never knew how to back down, and his spine that did not break was what gave Existence the chance to last against a power that did not stop growing.
“I admire your spirit, Eos. It is something of the likes that I may never see again, but even with all your tenacity and power, the experiment that is Existence is over, and the creator wants it to end.”
Suddenly, Enoch stopped squeezing, and he pushed the soul of Existence back, and he laughed, “You have impressed me with your tenacity, Eos, and for that I shall reward you by giving you more despair.”
The soul of Existence gasped in relief, and he took several steps back, his radiance shedding on the horde of beasts, and their ferocity decreased as he gave these mindless hordes a mind of their own.
Of all his Incarnations fighting against the horde to give the Origin Realms a chance, most were dead, and there were only three left alive.
If they had been fighting to protect themselves, then it would be hard for any of these Incarnations to die, but what they were doing was much harder; they were fighting to protect the Origin Realms, and that meant dragging as much danger to themselves without holding back.
His actions gave them reprieve, but this was only for a short time. Eos felt it, a dark presence tearing through Existence, and he staggered back before he braced himself and looked to the side, wariness in his eyes.
Enoch’s laughter echoed across the void as he felt her approach, and his vast body, which was like a cathedral of suffering, began to change.
His massive body froze, and his chest opened up, and a smaller being walked out that resembled Enoch when he was not fully corrupted by End; however, he had no wings on his back, only two stumps that were bleeding, causing blood to pour down his body and create a platform that he stood upon.
He looked into the distance, and he smiled,
“You know, I felt you die,” Enoch said. “I felt you fail, and that did not give me much joy because I had hoped to break you by myself; that child had deprived me of something pleasant once again.”
Luminious Veil emerged from the darkness like a shadow given form, her body still flickering with the wounds Eos had inflicted.
Although she had seemingly escaped without any issue, that was not the entire truth, especially after she stole a part of his potential. This would be dangerous to any other Luminious, but for her, it was exceptionally dangerous due to the fact that truth was the opposite of her nature.
“I did not fall,” she said after she frowned. “I returned to you, for the settlement of the beginning and the end.”
The vast body of Enoch moved, and his featureless face tilted, and in the nothing that was his eyes, Luminious Veil saw herself reflected as she was now, broken and humiliated.
The smaller, perfect body of Enoch smiled, his bright blue eyes and white hair radiating a sort of grace that was impossible to describe.
“You brought me a gift,” Enoch said. “The wound in your body, is that what poisons you? This tiny truth is the only variable that broke your plans. How fascinating.” His monstrous body reached out, and his claw of compressed bone and stolen essence closed around her form. “You brought me the only thing that could make me whole. I had a small taste of this potential inside his Incarnation in my prison, and I want more.”
Nyxara grinned, “Be careful that this does not poison you.”
She did not resist his hand. This was the fate that she had been running from the beginning of time, since the first Existence was breathed into being, and the Great One had shattered them and scattered them across the void.
With the truth inside of her, she discovered that she was tired.
Tired of the hunger, of the need, of the endless, screaming want that had defined her existence for so long.
“Take it,” she whispered. “Take all of it. Take it and end me.”
The perfect form of Enoch looked at her one last time, and he smiled before he turned his back to her, and he was absorbed into the greater monstrous body.
A whisper came from Nyxara, “I wonder if we have ever been alive.”
Enoch’s grip tightened, and Luminious Veil’s form began to dissolve, and she became a part of Enoch.
Nyxara, the Primordial of Soul, the Luminious Veil, one of the three core Luminious had lost her place in Existence and become part of the whole.
Enoch’s body shuddered as Luminious Veil’s essence poured into him.
The cathedral of suffering that was his body began to bloom with wounds. End was not a power of healing, and with so much End being poured into his body, his massive form began to tear apart.
Although he was being bombarded by a lot of End, he was also being infused by her Lumina and part of Eos’s potential.
Lumina was different from Origin, as every Luminious had a fixed amount of it. However, Lumina produced a force called Abhimha, and most of the time, when a Luminious was using the power of Lumina, what they were really using was the power of Abhimha.
At their death or in times like this, when a fusion occurs, all of their Lumina is passed in. This was what was happening to Enoch and was giving him the means of consuming so much power of End.
Wounds filled his body; however, each wound did not just bleed, it was a door, and through each door, something was beginning to emerge.
What was emerging were fragments.
Luminious Veil had consumed many other Luminious in the past; their bodies had been shattered and placed inside her Veil, not truly destroyed, just preserved.
These Luminious had been waiting in the darkness between Existences, and with the fusion, they who felt the call of the core, and were drawn to this moment like moths to a flame.
The first to emerge was a being of pure sound, its form a symphony of screams that had been playing since the first Existence ended.
Its name was Luminious Echo, and it had been hiding in the spaces between heartbeats, waiting for a voice to call it home.
