Naturally, after listening to Aster’s words, Valentina’s face slightly reddened, especially because she heard Agnes softly giggling at her, while covering the lower part of her face to hide her reaction, while those cute girls who were watching the show didn’t bother to hide their amused smiles, which made the purple lightning princess have a vein pop on her forehead.

‘Laughing at your older sister’s misfortune huh, this little sister of mine surely has gotten rather bold in the short period of time she was away’, thought Valentina to then clear her throat.

So, if they want to “graduate” early from the generic longsword, they have to show enough improvement for it, while also giving the blacksmiths enough time to finish the requested swords.

And with that, the three of them took distance from each other, as Aster expected, to keep her following intentions a mystery, Valentina didn’t remain at Agnes’s side, but instead moved around, waiting for the right time to make her entry.

‘Mmm, why is it that even if you will be taking two attacks at the start, I’m the one who feels truly in danger here…’, thought the sportsy sun diamond princess as she saw both, her cousin sharply gazing at her, while Aster had that amused smile on his face.

Why is that disadvantageous you wonder, sure, Valentina could choose to not attack at the same time as Agnes, so she won’t put herself in a compromising position where she’ll be open to be attacked from both sides, but once the sportsy sun diamond princess had finished her first move, she’ll be free to target Valentina.

And if Valentina didn’t attack Aster, then she’ll be restricted to go after him, in other words she had to attack alongside Agnes the first time, whether she wanted it or not.

“Clack!”, the three wood swords collided in the air the next second, Agnes’s vertical strike was quite heavy, her aim was to force Aster backwards, which is understandable as she is a physical training maniac, Valentina on the other hand used a much more refined approach, a diagonal cut which she extended to try and disarm Aster.

Those two’s combined attacks actually managed to make Aster’s feet slid backwards a couple of centimeters, he didn’t lose his footing nor did the sword flew out of his hands, despite the impact coming from two different directions though, a a proof of how good his stance is.

Not even a second later, the three of them retrieved their swords basically at the same time after their previous moves had exhausted the strength behind of them, then both princesses fiercely gazed at each other as they swinged their swords towards the other, or at least that was the idea until they both saw from the corner of their eyes that a third sword was coming their way.

“Clack!”, Agnes and Valentina suddenly changed the trajectory of their slashes midway, displaying how fluid their swordsmanship is, in order to block Aster’s attack.

“Don’t leave me out of the fun, ladies”, playfully said Aster, he had to intervene because for a second there, it seemed like those two were going to be focusing on the other, and while normally Aster wouldn’t mind to sit back and enjoy seeing two cuties fiercely fight, he wanted the girls from the sect how difficult a mortal level fight can become when facing multiple enemies at the same time.

Talented cultivators, like those cute girls watching the spar, are used to fight groups by themselves, we don’t need to goo too back in time, just at the entrance to this place, they were outnumbered in their respective fights, but of course emerged victorious.

However, when spirit energy is not involved in the picture, things are way different, even if one can end a single enemy with just a few moves, one will grow tired after a couple of enemies, because a mortal does not recover just by existing like a cultivator does.

Even without meditating, a cultivator is still surrounded by spirit energy which is naturally absorbed by their body, sure he can’t access it automatically, below the Transcending realms, but there is still a refreshing effect that a mortal won’t have, a mortal will just get tired and more tired until he is allowed to actually rest, maybe sit down and take off all the extra weight.

Anyway, Agnes didn’t move a centimeter after blocking Aster’s strong slash, but Valentina who felt the impact on her dominant hand, was the first to react, she took advantage of the previous to retreat, using Aster’s strength against him, in order to launch a counter attack.

After taking a step backwards, the purple lightning princess pushed both Agnes and Aster’s sword upwards to the her right, to then transition the same movement to slash downwards from the left.

“Swoosh”, Valentina’s sword was fast enough to produce a sound as it parted the air in its way, however that was the only sound produced because she didn’t manage to slash Aster as she wanted, the black-haired dragon youth moved to the side, perfectly avoiding her attack to then try to attack the purple lightning princess, only for his sword to be met with Agnes, who though reacted last, was fast enough to catch up with what those two did.

“Clack!”, surprisingly, the sportsy sun diamond princess covered up for Valentina, saving her the need to retreat after her attack was dodged by Aster.

“I think senior brother is the one with the toughest defense and the strongest offense”, said a girl from the Red Sword faction.

“Mm, but senior sister Valentina has the most fluidity and the fastest reaction time”, added a girl from the Black Sword.

“And sister Agnes on the other hand is the fastest and the most intuitive”, concluded a girl from the White Sword.

Those weren’t baseless observations, Aster parried those two’s attacks without showing any sign of backlash and his attack on the other hand, did make Valentina’s arm tremble a bit even when Agnes also helped blocking it.

But then, Valentina was a split of a second faster to make her next move and she perfectly chained smacking their swords away to then beautifully transition to slash downwards.

Last but not least, though Agnes couldn’t react as quick as those two, her body was fast enough to catch up with them and out of sheer instinct she blocked Aster’s sword, preventing Valentina from being forced into a dangerous situation.

Amusingly enough that matched with those three initial constitution’s traits, Aster with the Paragon body which primarily increased his defense and strength, Valentina’s Lightning Amethyst extremely increased her process speed, which complemented her liking for turning tedious every day activities into a way of training her control over soul energy.

As for Agnes, her Sun Diamond constitution grants her explosive bursts of speed, which she would have been unable to use, if her instincts weren’t equally explosive, and all of that was reflected in those three’s swords.

Of course, the difference in the same aspects between the one who outstood the most in those girl’s eyes, and the other two wasn’t abysmal at all, Aster’s reaction time and parallel thinking is monstrous, he perfectly dodged Valentina’s attack after all, Agnes didn’t show any reaction after blocking Aster’s attack and Valentina was fast enough to be able to retreat even after she failed to slash Aster.

“Clack!”, an amused light flashed through Valentina’s purple eyes as she slashed her sword upwards, separating Aster and Agnes’s sword from the other, before she took a step backwards, an action that those two followed up, thus putting an end to the first exchange between the three, since they were now back at square one, with the difference that now, who they will attack was completely up to them.

Well, there was another difference, as in Agnes and Valentina no longer sharply gazed at each other, aiming to eliminate the other first, now those fierce pretty eyes of theirs, were changing from each other to Aster, which fully turned this into a three-way fight.

“If you ask me, you should support your enemies fighting among themselves, instead of drawing their attention to you”, said the older of the three sisters.

Mina, as someone who aims to use every possible mean to make the situation favor, previously only her sisters and Iris, a group which is in the process of expanding thanks to her first friend candidates, since she was a little girl, couldn’t believe that someone she considers as calculative as herself, like Aster, would give up such an advantage.

“Even if it was for the showcase, he could have interfered after letting them slash each other at least once”, she added after taking into account the external aspect of the current situation.

So as you can see, despite those girls showing clear support to each of those two, all of them cheered up for Aster, quite the amusing situation.
