The Villain's Story - Chapter 863 - 863: Dragons of Darkness.

Dragons of Darkness are stranger than other dragons, though not as elusive as shadow dragons; they appear only rarely. Most prefer to stay in Nocturnum, within the Black Sea, as it is the most comfortable place for them.
However, in the rare cases they do venture out, they are rarely seen by anyone. Every darkness dragon is adept at hiding themselves, so much so that only another darkness dragon has a chance at finding them, either that or a being of a much higher level.
It is simply in their nature; you can never spot an adult dark dragon if it doesn’t want to be seen. However, due to the nature of young dragons, they almost always run into trouble even with such a gift. Which is why, among all the species of dragons, darkness dragons take care of their young the most.
To this day, not a single darkness dragon has gone rogue, unlike all other young dragons. The adult dragons keep an eye on their young all the time. Another thing to note is that…
A darkness dragon is the second most feared dragon in the universe, just behind a dragon of war. On the few occasions that they have made an appearance, they have always decimated their opposition. Adult Darkness dragons are all trained by their Supreme being, Valus.
Masters at assassination, warrior combat, and even an adept hunter. Furthermore, they are the best in barrier and dimensional magic. They are the elites of the House of Death, the guardians of the Ice dragons. Many tales exist about dark dragons, all of them from the church of darkness. The legitimacy of these is questionable, but there are enough to strike both fear and awe into anyone who encounters them.
Also, much like Shadow dragons and Ice dragons, who possess special abilities of their own, a Darkness dragon also has one. However, their special ability is considered to be above that of a Shadow Dragon and an Ice Dragon.
A shadow dragon can turn their body into an invincible shadow for short moments, immune to every sort of attack, and an Ice dragon possesses the [Winter Heart].
However, a Darkness Dragon can manipulate gravity and, to some extent, reality. Darkness magic has many fields, one of which is apparently reality manipulation.
Darkness Dragons are the strongest in the house of Shivalkulan, the elite among the elite, and as hundreds of them surrounded Alan, he could certainly feel it.
He could feel the force of gravity getting stronger, trying to drive his body to the ground, but he refused to fall after making it so far.
Their seemingly soft flesh and absurdly long tails that ended in deadly spikes… the soft purple glow in their eyes and their wingspan that was as big as hills. The Older Dragons looked at him with curiosity and some concern.
While the younger ones hid on their backs, taking glances at Alan. The biggest dragon, one that was as large as Azmakul, lowered himself, and dozens of darkness dragons on his back jumped onto the backs of other adult dragons. He was a Warna, like Elijah.
But unlike Elijah, who had smooth and polished scales, the scales of this dragon were rugged, scarred beyond belief. There wasn’t a place on his body that was free of scars, and honestly, it scared Alan.
He gulped as he focused solely on that dragon, hoping his mana reserves would recover soon. Did he have a chance? No, certainly not.
Unless he somehow activated [Dominatus] once again, he had zero chance against this dragon. He knew it wouldn’t escalate into a serious fight… hopefully.
He did just eviscerate their home, after all. Even so, it should just end in being disciplined a little.
Nevertheless, Alan took a deep breath and pushed through the gravity magic applied to him and asked.
“Where is Valus?”
The Dragon raised his brows, studying Alan deeply. He crossed his arms and raised his chin for a while, as if he was thinking. In the end, he let out a sigh and shrugged his shoulders.
The dragon extended his right hand and flicked his fingers.
Alan paused for a moment, as a sense of nausea began to rise in his body. His mana fluctuated oddly, and even his aura was destabilizing, and that was when Alan Peccator realized.
“…Light?”
He questioned, he turned his body around and noticed a dazzling moon in the sky, it had light so bright it almost blinded Alan, and it would have if a giant dragon had not blocked it.
The Dragon appeared in front of Alan again, this time, high in the sky. It seemed to be standing in the air, in front of the moon. It opened its mouth and said.
[Well done, prince.]
And only then did Alan realize he was falling. He turned around once more, back facing the moon, and saw an endless black expanse merely a few hundred meters beyond him.
Alan gasped and transformed into a draconian. But before he could unfurl his wings, a voice called out.
[Not yet, Prince.]
An unknown force managed to stop his wings from unfurling. Alan could do nothing but scream as he went through the expanse of black, into a storm.
The Black Sea had returned, but this time, the Sea wasn’t calm; rather, it was furious. An endless amount of darkness mana rained down from above, feeding the roaring colossus below. However, it was different this time.
There was light, not from the moon he had seen above the veil of black, but rather, from somewhere in the Sea. He could notice it due to how everything had a strange glow.
He unfurled his wings and stabilized himself in the air, glancing at the Black Sea below. Alan took a deep breath as he raised his head, trying to find the source of light.
And he found it, a ball of white light in the distance, originating from a structure he had seen before.
After three weeks in the Black Sea, tearing his body apart and eventually overcoming it, Alan Peccator had found the Lighthouse.
