The Werewolf's Vampire Mate - Chapter 599 - A Good Leader
Chapter 599 – A Good Leader
Rex
Everyone is staring at the sight.
The shock is evident on their faces. I know what this means to all of us here. I know how much this will help us to win this fight.
Analise is on the ground and there is an evil smile on her face. She is enjoying this a little too much and it is scaring me. It is almost like she doesn't care that she was caught. Like she knew that this was something that was bound to happen.
No one knows what to say. Everyone is so shocked that they are all speechless.
The only people that don't have that shocked look on their faces are all of us. We knew who she was, we have always known and maybe I should have given Major the benefit of doubt before I attacked but I couldn't take the risk of any of my mates getting hurt.
"You all see what I have been saying. I was set up, she made you all think that I was the bad guy," he raises his hands again and I look up as the light that usually comes from him surfaces to the air in form of a screen.
For a second, I don't see the purpose of what he is doing until I recognize the place that he is showing us. The room. The reason we are in the coven in the first place. Gyles bright us back here because he needed to make things right. He needed to help the people in the book and now, the root of our problem is Analise. Now we know and somehow, it seems like Major knows too.
Somehow, he found out the one thing that we were all so focused on.
I watch the scene as it plays out. Analise looks younger. This must be a memory that happened so many years ago. I watch her and the other man—one of the guards that are on stage right now as they do something so despicable to a little child.
"They say the blood of a child gives you more power,'' Analise's voice from the video calls out to the other man. My eyes dart to the man and there is a flash of recognition on his face. He remembers this.
His cheeks are red and guilt is all I feel from his emotions.
He is guilty of whatever they are about to do.
"I want you all to see the kind of person you put in charge, I want you all to see the monster you have fully believed in for so long.''
This is something that no one could possibly watch with full attention. I don't even want to look anymore. I know what kind of person she is so why would I watch her murder a child—for fucks sake.
The moment the man grabs a knife, I turn away. The only thing I hear are the sounds of the girls' cries. I know what she is going to do, I know what is going to happen and from the gasps of the crowd, now they know too.
Once the memory stop, I look up again. Major is in front of the light now and he is the only one I can focus on at the moment. Thinking about it, he will make a good leader. He would be a better chief than all the people in the coven.
"She killed the elders, she has killed so many people. She has used their bodies as a mask to keep on deceiving you all for so long. Analise is the person that should be executed. She is the person that should be burnt to the stake." His voice is firm and cold. There is no pity in his words and I one hundred percent stand with him.
Everyone starts to murmur in agreement.
"How do we know this is not another lie fabricated by you to make her out to be the monster.''
Someone from the crowd speaks up. I turn to the person immediately in shock that they would still try to defend her. There might be magic to make things look different from how they are but Major would never go that far, and if they have doubt in their minds, then they are the problem.
I am still in my wolf form and so is Gyles. I don't think this is the best time for us to even turn back to our human form. She might try something, she might try to escape. This would not be the first time she would be one step ahead of us. She has always been a step ahead and I don't even expect any less from her but the difference between this time and all the other times is the fact that we are also one step ahead of her.
Killing her real form just means it is only her soul that is in this body, and once this body is killed, the rest of her will die. The parts that she has used to torment the people in this town.
I can't wait to see the life leave her eyes. I want her to feel the same pain that everyone she has hurt felt and more.
"You can choose to believe what you want to but why hasn't anyone seen any of the elders outside in the open. Haven't you all had questions?'' his eyes stay fixed on the man that blurted out nonsense. I watch the two of them, I'm curious about the next thing that he is going to say.
"We would eventually be killing our chief. No matter what, she is still our chief.''
He says it like it means shit.
"She was going to execute her son, why do you feel pity for her–or should I say, respect?'' he raises a brow.
I watch as the man looks away at that question. If he had any sense, he would shut up already.
"Because you can't kill me,'' Analise manages with an evil smile.
"Tie her up,'' Major tells one of the guards. A very dominating look on his face. I watch as the man rushes to Analise's side and picks her up immediately.
I watch as he ties her up.
"Does anyone else have any objections to this decision?'' he asks the crowd one last time.
I hold my breath as I wait.
No one says a word.
