Chapter 630 – A Little Bit Of Fun

"I am going to leave early,'' I tell Gage in a whisper. He turns to me immediately and I see him judging me. He heard my conversation, so he knows why I want to leave.

I met Gage when I was taking the GED. Since I couldn't finish high school. The only way I could continue was by taking the GED. Gage was the person that helped me through it and we have been friends since. He is a five feet seven inches blond-haired guy. His eyes are a striking blue. So intense that sometimes I find myself looking away. He is just an average-looking person but to him, he is the sexiest man alive. He has been a good friend and we even got closer when I started college early this year.

Darrien likes Gage and I guess that is why we are still friends. I did a screening with all my friends. I couldn't take any chance because I don't ever want a repeat like what happened with Lenny, so I try to avoid anything that looks suspicious.

I am not saying that I trust Gage completely because the only person I trust completely is Dar. He is the only one that I will give my all for as long as I live.

"Well, you know how much physics 101 is a struggle for you. Hudson is not going to take this again just because you skipped the class."

This is a tutorial class with just a couple of us from class. Hudson is the class rep. he is the smartest of the bunch. He is the only one that actually understands the course. This is a favor and I shouldn't be skipping out on this lesson.

"I know, I will be fine,'' I wave my hand in the air in dismissal. He is not wrong; I need this lesson but I need Dar more than this lesson and he sounded really good on the phone. I am not deprived of sex with him, I am with him basically every day even though I go to school. I chose a school next to the community because there was no way in hell that I would be apart from him.

He has been very supportive of this.

"You are choosing your man over this,'' he laughs because it is amusing to him.

Claire leans over to our table and raises a brow "Who is choosing who?'' she asks.

I roll my eyes.

"No one is choosing anything. I have to leave.''

"Because of the kid party?'' she asks and I remember that I told her about it. I am not leaving because of the twins even though I know that I should be there. I wasn't even supposed to come for this class but I let Gage convince me.

At the end of the day, I will have to just study on my own.

"He is leaving because of Darrien,'' Gage chuckles loudly.

His voice is pretty loud, which gets the attention of Hudson. He looks over to us and glares loudly "You can't be having a side conversation and expect to understand the work,'' he tells us.

I look away from him for a second "He is leaving,'' Gage snitches on me immediately.

I didn't expect less.

We are all friends here.

"Let me guess, Darrien?'' he smiles.

Hudson is the main supporter of my relationship. He has a thing for Darrien. I won't say it is a crush but sometimes, I think it is. I don't see any of my friends as a threat to my relationship. They have all been pretty supportive and that I something that I have never really had. 

Supportive friends. 

People that are not family but genuinely care about you. "Yeah, he is on his way,'' I tell him, slowly standing up from the bench and walking down the steps to the front of the class. We are just about six in the class. I am friends with all the people in this room. 

"Just email me the materials and I will try to work on it on my own," I tell him as I get to the front. 

He smiles "Okay, but you know I had this class because of you.'' 

I nod. 

Gage scoffs so loudly that I look up at him and give him the middle finger. This gets a laugh out of him but I don't have time to engage in this conversation as my phone beeps in my pocket. I know it is him instantly. 

"Gotta go,'' I wave to all of them as I jog out of the classroom. 

Once I am out of the doors, I start to search for him. just his presence is unignorable. I walk out of the building and everywhere is empty. It is a weekend. Not a lot of people are on campus. 

My eyes roam around the streets in search of him. I grab my phone from my jeans pocket and his message blares up the screen. 

Darbear: Guess where I am?

I reply his message immediately.

Jabi: Where?

I can already imagine his face. 

I can already imagine the smile that would be on his face right now. I don't know where he is but it seems like he wants me to find him. 

His face blares up on the screen as he calls me and I answer it immediately "is this why you like studying so much, I mean, I see the appeal,'' he mutters into the phone. 

"Where are you?" I ask him 

"You didn't have to come out, you know. I could see you from up here,'' he informs me and I know what he is talking about instantly. there is a room just above in the classroom we were in. There is a projector and a tiny window that makes the classroom visible. 

"Dude come out of there,'' I tell him immediately, even though I am already running back into the building. There is a smile on my face, I don't know why but this is exciting. 

"Nope, come find me,'' he exclaims excitedly. 

I close the large doors as I climb up the stairs hurriedly, knowing that Darrien is about to do something naughty.

Why am I so excited?
