Timeless Assassin - Chapter 1046 Devastation

Chapter 1046 Devastation
(Meanwhile, On Planet Helion-6)
Moltherak’s arrival changed the whole complexion of the battlefield, as instead of showing the slightest hesitation at the sight of several enemy Gods gathered in one place, the ancient Dragon God simply decided that he was going to establish his dominance over them all, right here and right now.
“Bask in the glory of the Destroyer Of Galaxies… humans!” Moltherak declared, as he began gathering a ridiculous amount of divine essence around his body.
As things stood, he did not seem to care about who stood where, or about which side anyone belonged to.
In fact, he did not even appear to notice that the other Gods had originally gathered here to gang up on Mauriss, as he simply did not care enough to observe who stood in his way, or why.
For a few seconds, he began preparing a spell long forgotten by time, as he attempted to show the Gods gathered below him exactly the kind of monstrous will it had once taken for a beast to claw its way into Godhood during the Chaos Era.
As ideally, he had expected his opponents to attack him during this build-up, and for there to be some exciting back and forth for him to be able to unleash this attack.
However, to his surprise, no-one did, as all the Gods gathered below seemed to be too jittery to make the first move.
“Alright, since none of you are brave enough to come at me willingly….
Moltherak said with visible amusement, as the divine energy around him continued to swell to terrifying levels.
“Let’s see how you lot handle this.”
He finished, as he unleashed the spell toward everyone and everything below him indiscriminately.
“[Crimson Fall].”
He declared, as the heavens split open instantly.
A rain of blazing crimson meteors tore through the clouds as the entire sky above Helion-6 seemed to ignite, dozens of massive projectiles crashing toward the continent below while their combined pressure warped the surrounding space.
*BOOOOOOM*
The first meteor detonated across the plains as an entire mountain ridge vanished beneath the explosion, while Yu Kiro shot sideways through the air to avoid another projectile that obliterated the ground where he had been standing seconds earlier.
“Dragon bastard!” Ru Vassa shouted as she thrust a magic spear upward towards an incoming meteorite, while also unleashing another spell called [Radiant Skybreaker] towards Moltherak.
*SKROOSH*
The spell tore across the sky and struck the Dragon God directly. *BOOM*
The explosion engulfed Moltherak completely, as for a brief moment the sky vanished behind blinding light.
“YES, I GOT HIM!”
Ru Vassa said excitedly, as for a moment she thought she had been successful in pushing Moltherak back.
However, a second later, Moltherak stepped forward through the smoke…. Unharmed.
“Oh that tickles!” Moltherak said cheerfully as he cracked his neck slowly, red veins pulsing across his skin as his killing intent intensified.
“Oh yeah, I’m fired up now!”
He said, as the expression in his eyes turned even more maniacal.
Meanwhile below him, the battlefield had already descended into absolute chaos, because unfortunately for the Righteous Alliance, they were now forced to divide their attention between Moltherak’s overwhelming spells and the Deceiver who still lurked among them with an Origin blade in hand, as it seemed like Mauriss had absolutely no intention of letting such an opportunity go to waste.
“Ah…”
Mauriss chuckled softly as he wiped blood from the corner of his mouth, the Origin Dagger in his hand gleaming ominously under the
flickering lightning.
“Now this…is exactly the kind of Chaos I was hoping for.”
Mauriss shared as he proceeded to use [Deceiver’s Rift] to vanish from everyone’s vision, before reappearing behind Lu Han, as he tried to attack the back of Lu Han’s neck with an Origin Blade.
*SWOOSH*
He swung viciously, as Lu Han barely reacted in time.
[Heavenly Guard]
A barrier of condensed divine pressure erupted around him just as
the dagger struck.
*SKRRRKK*
The Origin weapon bit halfway through the barrier before Lu Han
blasted Mauriss away with a furious kick.
*BOOM*
Mauriss spun across the battlefield laughing.
While above them, Moltherak had already begun preparing another
spell.
“Don’t ignore me now!”
Moltherak shouted as he raised both claws toward the sky again and
caused a massive vortex of crimson lightning to form around his body.
“You came here to fight Gods, didn’t you?” Moltherak asked mockingly as the lightning intensified, and the spell [Dragon King’s Cataclysm] erupted outward.
The sky shattered.
A colossal wave of ancient draconic lightning exploded across the battlefield while the surrounding space fractured violently under the pressure of the attack.
Yu Kiro intercepted one of the lightning bolts with [Celestial Fist], the collision detonating with enough force to flatten an entire valley.
Mu Shen retaliated immediately.
“[Void Sever]” Mu Shen shouted as he swung his arm forward, and a blade of compressed spatial energy tore toward Moltherak. The battlefield became a storm of overlapping divine techniques.
*BOOM*
*BLAST*
*SHATTER*
*DESTRUCTION*
Kaelith flicked his fingers outward from a distance as a thin ripple of distorted gravity shot across the battlefield toward Mauriss, while Ru Vassa launched another spear of radiant energy toward Moltherak.
Meanwhile Mauriss attacked again.
The battlefield twisted into a nightmare of overlapping attacks as
space bent violently under the pressure of their combined power, stray shockwaves tearing open the ocean in the distance while the sky flickered like a shattered mirror.
Mountains collapsed.
Lightning split the heavens.
Reality itself strained under the weight of their presence.
Yet standing within that catastrophic storm of destruction, Moltherak
only seemed to grow more excited.
“YES!”
Moltherak roared with savage delight as he spread his arms toward the battlefield, as crimson lightning crackled wildly around his body. “NOW THIS is a proper fight!”
“NOW THIS is getting my blood pumping again!” Moltherak declared as he dove straight toward the six Gods below, while the sky above Helion-6 began tearing apart under the sheer scale of the battle, clearly unable to handle the forces unfolding under its expanse.
