Villain: Your Heroines Were Delicious - Chapter 157 - 22

Chapter 157: Chapter 22
The morning sun filtered through the curtains of the Kageyama household, glinting off the polished silverware and the pristine floors.
Seijirou stood in the foyer, his eyes half-closed in a lingering daze of exhaustion from the previous night’s exploits.
Behind him, Yuko, his own personal maid and Haruka’s mother, was meticulously smoothing out the wrinkles in his school blazer.
Haruka, as always, headed to school first.
“There, all set, Seijirou-kun,” Yuko said with a warm, maternal smile as she gave his shoulders a final pat.
Seijirou nodded, adjusting his collar. “I’m off. Take care, Yuko.”
He stepped out of the grand gates, the cool morning air doing little to clear the grogginess from his head.
However, his drowsiness evaporated the moment he saw Suzune waiting by the curb.
Usually the picture of bright, cheerful grace, she now looked utterly distraught, with her shoulders hunched, and her expression was one of pure, unadulterated panic.
“What happened?” Seijirou asked, stopping in front of her.
Suzune turned toward him, her large eyes shimmering with moisture as if she were on the verge of a total breakdown. “Seiji… exams are coming. Due to my training and the war… I haven’t studied at all!”
She had completely forgotten, with all the Karyoku and the battle that happened this month, that she was still a student!
And as a student, they had to take exams!
Suzune’s grades had never been stellar to begin with—ever since her father passing and she went into depression, she had never bothered ever trying to study seriously once again.
She had gotten so into her gyaru persona that she didn’t bother trying to improve her academics anymore.
After all, her mother is rich, so she can live off her money until she graduated from highschool.
After that, she will give birth to Seijirou’s child, and have them inherit the family business while she retire with Seijirou.
A perfect plan where she doesn’t need to work or even put an effort!
But now, after being functionally absent for nearly a month and focusing on her Karyoku and the Saint Shinomiya raid?
Yeah, she’s doomed.
She wasn’t just going to fail; she was on a collision course with the very bottom of the school rankings.
If that happened, her mother—that woman whom she thinks is far more terrifying than any District Leader—would undoubtedly end her.
Her mother would surely force her to work hard, something she absolutely loathed to do.
Mother, isn’t the goal of the parent being rich is so they can provide and support their children?!
What’s wrong with slacking off and living off your money!?
We share the same man, yet you won’t share your money with me!?
Believe it or not, I’ll tell Seijirou to smack your butt!
“Oh, exams, huh,” Seijirou nodded.
His voice was flat, devoid of any anxiety, well, that’s to be expected since for him, the academic world was already a solved puzzle.
He had mastered high school level curriculum back in middle school under the relentless, iron-fisted supervision of his parents, specifically his mother.
To Seijirou, a perfect score was as natural as breathing.
Suzune watched his complete lack of reaction and let out a piteous groan of despair. “Urgh, I forgot you’re a genius. The exams are in a week, and I need to cram a month’s worth of lessons into that short time. My head is going to explode!”
“Well, study hard.”
As they began their walk toward school, the weight of the upcoming finals seemed to hang over Suzune like a guillotine.
She nudged him, grabbing his arm and sandwiching them between her breast, her lips curling into a hopeful, cheekily desperate smile. “Uh, Seijirou-sensei… please tutor me.”
“Hoh?” Seijirou stopped and turned toward her, “You don’t want to fail, is that it?”
“Of course! Mom would destroy me! You don’t want your Suzune to get punish, do you?”
Just then, Seijirou’s face suddenly became deathly serious as he leaned in slightly, narrowing his eyes in a parody of a dramatic antagonist.
“Then, Kurokawa Suzune… you don’t want to fail your exams, do you? You know what happens to girls who fail…”
“Pfft!” Suzune burst out laughing, the tension breaking for a moment. “What’s with that? Are you a villain from an NTR doujinshi or something?”
“At a time like this, you should act scared and indignant,” Seijirou teased, his voice dropping into a husky whisper. “Looking at me with disgust while your body is being honest about its need for… extra credit.”
“No way!” Suzune laughed, letting go of his arm and giving him a playful shove. “If you’re going to be like that, I’d rather have Haruka-chan tutor me! At least she won’t try to roleplay a degenerate!”
The two continued to bicker and tease one another, the lighthearted banter a sharp contrast to the violence of the previous night.
Honestly, Seijirou kind of missed moments like this, where they can just act as ordinary students and live an ordinary life.
However, their fun came to an abrupt halt as they reached the school gates, and the scene waiting for them there was a comedy of academic errors.
Yukina and Emi were currently physically latched onto Touka’s arms, their faces twisted into comical masks of stress.
Seijirou actually blinked. Touka had finally cut her bangs, revealing her incredibly mesmerising and beautiful appearance.
It’s even more beautiful than the one he saw in the game!
“Touka-chan, please help us! You’re our only hope!” Yukina begged, her voice echoing across the courtyard.
“I’ll trade you my entire secret lollipop stock,” Emi added with a haunting, deadpan seriousness. “Please. Help me study. My brain is a void.”
Well, Yukina was like Suzune, having been a gyaru so long that she completely neglected her studies.
And although she can pass in previous exams, but this it’s different, as she had spent almost a month in a forest, training and completely neglecting school.
She was certain to fail!
As for Emi, before her bullying, she was academically gifted, but after her classmates began to bully her, her grades suffered and she started to neglect her academics.
And when she finally recovered and solved the bullying, she got addicted into ACG and didn’t bother trying to recover her previous excellence.
Touka, caught in their combined grip, looked like she wanted to vanish into the pavement. “P-Please, you two! I promise to help, just… please don’t do this here, it’s embarrassing!”
A few meters away, the situation was even more dire, or rather, even more comical.
Shou was slowly dragging his feet toward the entrance, looking profoundly annoyed.
Clinging to his ankles like barnacles were Renji and Sakai, both of them bawling actual tears.
“Shou! You need to help us, brother! We’re too young to be held back!” Sakai wailed. “Dad would take out his belt and whip me if I fail!”
“My brother from another mother! If I fail the exam, my life is over!” Renji cried, his pompadour slightly deflated by his grief. “Can you bear to see us suffer!?”
Shou ignored them, his eyes, usually sleepy and lazy, was now burning with fury and embarrassment.
As Seijirou and Suzune approached, the four “failures” caught sight of the King, and their eyes brightened instantly, as if they had seen a savior descending from the heavens.
“BOSS!”
Renji and Sakai let go of Shou and launched themselves toward Seijirou with tears of joy, intending to cling to him.
Seijirou’s cheek twitched, and before they could make contact, his hands moved in a blur and sent two sharp smacks to the back of their heads, burying their faces directly into the dirt.
“Bffft!”
“Mmfh!”
“Seijirou!” Yukina and Emi lunged next.
Seijirou was gentler with them, catching them as they practically collapsed against his chest, their eyes wide and pleading.
Sakai and Renji raised their heads and looked at him, then to Yukina and Emi in his arms.
“Boss! You’re being unfair! Why did you punch us and gently caught them!?” Sakai pointed at him, “This is unfair! I demand equal rights!”
“That’s right! Aren’t you an advocate of gender equality!? Why the difference in treatment!?” Renji nodded at the side.
“Want another one?” Seijirou glared at them.
The two of them immediately quieted down.
“Seijirou! Please tutor us!” Yukina cried, burying his arm between her breast, “I don’t want to fail! My sister will be sad and I will have to nail myself in the pillar of shame if that happened!”
“I don’t want to fail,” Emi muttered, her forehead resting against his blazer. “My mother is going to keep nagging me if I do. She might even find my hidden collections… please, Seijirou. Save my hobbies.”
Seijirou looked at his group of elite warriors, now reduced to a pack of desperate students.
He let out a long, weary sigh, realizing that the “War of the Saints” was nothing compared to the upcoming “War of the Finals.”
Just then, a pink strands of hair popped up behind Suzune.
“What happened?” It was Rei, looking at the crying Yukina and Emi.
Suzune turned towards her and nodded in greeting, begore turning back towards her two friends, “Nothing, they’re just afraid that they’d fail the upcoming exams.”
Rei blinked, “Eh? But isn’t that a problem that can be solved by studying?”
Suzune looked at her in disdain. Damn smart people! What do you mean a problem that can be solved by studying? If that was true, no one would fail any exams!
“Rei-chan, I’m feeling upset, please kneel down.” Said Suzune.
“Huh?” Rei blinked, tilting her head. “Why?”
Suzune said nothing and took out her wallet and dropped a thousand yen bill on the ground. “Pick it up and it’s yours.”
Rei’s eyes widened as she bends down and picked it up, “Hey! Don’t waste money!”
Suzune immediately patted her head like a cat, “Good girl. Now paw.”
“I’m not a pet!” Rei exclaimed, her face turning red in embarrassment.
Then, her eyes landed on Suzune’s open palm, where another thousand yen bill was lying flat, ready for the taking.
’No!’ Rei’s hand almost reached out, but she stopped herself. ’Don’t! Reach! Out!’
But it was useless, it was if her hand has a mind of its own and she eventually reached out to Suzune’s palm.
’Nooo!’ she cried internally.
“Good girl, good girl.”
Suzune now felt relieved.
So what if you’re smarter than me? In the end, money talks!
Rei immediately pocketed the two thousand yen bill.
Dignity? Hah!
