Villain: Your Heroines Were Delicious - Chapter 158 - 23

Chapter 158: Chapter 23
The morning sun seemed to shine just for Tadano Taro as he strutted down the sidewalk, a newfound spring in his step.
The world for him now felt different today—sharper, clearer, as if his foggy mind suddenly cleared up, allowing to see clearly again.
Last night, after returning home from his late-night workout, he had spent hours pouring over his textbooks, due to his delegance, he received a reward of “Intelligence +1”.
And that reward hadn’t been a placebo effect, as facts proved that he had really gotten smarter, as the things that usually slipped through his mind like sand were now sticking.
He could recall the words in the textbook quite easily now.
’If I keep this up,’he thought, a smug grin spreading across his face, ’won’t I eventually have a photographic memory? I’ll be a genius without even trying.’
He chuckled, and flexed his arm beneath his uniform, feeling his muscles.
While his reflection in the mirror hadn’t changed much yet, his muscles felt denser and firmer to the touch.
Truly, the Dating Sim System was doing more than just giving him numbers; it was rebuilding him from the inside out.
However, his mood soured the moment he reached the school gates.
There, surrounded by his usual “court,” was Kageyama Seijirou.
Seeing the tall, handsome delinquent laughing with the most beautiful girls in school and some of his lackeys made Taro’s blood boil, especially since his childhood friend has now become one of those girls.
He watched them enter the building, his nails digging into his palms as he gritted his teeth in anger.
’Just wait, Kageyama. One day, I will make you pay for every look of mockery you’ve ever given me.’
“Tsk. What the hell are you doing blocking the way?”
A rough, gravelly voice shattered his internal monologue as a heavy shoulder slammed into Taro, sending him stumbling several steps to the side.
“Hey!” Taro whirled around, a retort on his tongue, but his heart nearly stopped.
Standing there was Ano Uwon, a notorious third-year delinquent known for his explosive temper and physical bullying.
“Tsk, damn first year.” Ano didn’t even look back, merely clicking his tongue in annoyance as he stomped toward the entrance.
Taro’s instinct was to cower, but as he stared at the bully’s retreating back, the blue system window flickered into existence.
[Name: Ano Uwon]
[Role: Mob]
[Sexual Partners: 0]
Taro almost choked on a laugh.
This was the guy who spent every lunch break boasting about his weekend conquests? Hah! Zero partners, what a joke!
The “legendary” player of the third years turned out to be a complete virgin.
’What are you being so arrogant for?’ Taro thought, his fear replaced by a cold, condescending sense of superiority. ’You’re just a ’Mob.’ A background character.’
Feeling a massive surge of confidence, he walked into the school building, and couldn’t help but think that if a guy like Ano was a fraud, then is there a chance that Kageyama was the same?
He was probably just a rich kid boasting about accomplishments that never happened.
The thought made Taro feel invincible.
He arrived at the shoe lockers, the familiar scent of floor wax and old sneakers filling the air.
As he swapped his outdoor shoes for his indoor loafers, he noticed a familiar, regal figure approaching.
Kobayashi Rindou, the Student Council President, was conducting her morning patrol, her cold, beautiful face was a mask of administrative perfection as she directed students.
“Hurry along, everyone. The bell rings in five minutes. I expect everyone to be in their seats.”
She watched as the students greeted her with a smile before hurrying towards their respective room.
Just then, she stopped when her sharp gaze fell upon Taro. “You are… Tadano-kun, right? Classes are about to start. Please hurry to your room.”
It has been a month, and Rindou had nearly forgotten this boy that helped her bandaged her hands.
“A-Ah, President… sorry. I-I will go now,” Taro stuttered.
Shit! He cursed himself instantly. Damn it! Why did I stutter? Where did my confidence go?
As he moved to pass her, his eyes caught the system window floating above her head, and his heart stopped.
[Name: Kobayashi Rindou]
[Role: Heroine]
[Sexual Partners: 1]
[Conquer Difficulty: SSS+]
[Affection Meter: 10 (Indifferent)]
Taro froze mid-step, his eyes bulging at the third line of text. One? Sexual Partners: 1?!
“Do you need something, Tadano-kun?” Rindou’s brow furrowed, her eyes narrowing with a hint of irritation as he stood there staring at her like a statue.
She took a deliberate step away, her personal space being violated by his intense gaze.
[Affection -1]
“A-Ah, sorry, President,” Taro blurted out, his face heating up. “I-I was just feeling sleepy. Sorry. It won’t happen again.”
Rindou stared at him for a few long, agonizing moments, her analytical gaze making him feel like a bug under a microscope.
Finally, she gave a stiff nod. “See that it does not. Now, go to your classroom. Classes are starting.”
With a swirl of her skirt, she turned and continued her patrol down the hall.
Taro stood there, nearly collapsing to his knees as his world had just been turned upside down.
Why? Why was the President…? Who?! Just who was the man who had managed to touch the untouchable goddess?
The girl he regarded as a pure, unreachable deity… was now “impure” in his eyes.
The weight of the revelation crushed him.
The “SSS+” difficulty and that “1” burned into his mind. Why? Why!? Why did you give yourself to someone, Rindou-senpai!? Why couldn’t you wait for me!? Once I have my glow up with the help of the system, then we can be together!
Why did you betray me!?
Taro stood frozen in the middle of the hallway, staring into empty space.
His mind was a chaotic whirlpool of betrayal and disbelief, the image of Rindou’s status screen burned into his retinas.
The hallway seemed to stretch and warp around him as his world as a “pure” protagonist crumbled.
Just as he was about to spiral into a deeper pit of despair, a sharp chime echoed in his mind.
[Emergency Quest: Arrive On Time]
[Description: Classes are about to start. Please arrive on time to avoid further damage to your reputation and discipline record.]
[Reward: ¥10,000]
The monetary reward acted like a bucket of ice water.
10,000! That was more than triple his current net worth.
Taro snapped out of his daze, shaking his head violently to clear the cobwebs as he began to walk towards the classroom.
So what if Rindou was no longer a virgin? he told himself, his internal monologue shifting toward a desperate, defensive arrogance.
There are surely many more virgins out there worthy of a Chosen One like me! Once I improve my stats with the help of the system, I’ll be set for life! I’ll have beauties on my left and right—no, I’ll surround myself with them!
He suddenly broke into a sprint, and he couldn’t help but marvel at his newfound physique, his heavy indoor loafers clattering against the linoleum.
He reached his classroom with barely sixty seconds to spare, only to see his homeroom teacher, Miyamura Hana, standing by the sliding door.
She was checking her watch, waiting for the final bell to signal the start of the period.
As Taro approached, panting and disheveled, Hana’s usually gentle, warm eyes flickered.
She was about to greet him, but for a fraction of a second, she noticed something hiding deep within Taro’s soul, and her eyes turned ice-cold—a gaze filled with a primal, bone-deep disgust, as if she were looking at a deplorable stain on the floor.
However, her gentle mask was back in an instant, and she beamed at him with her trademark motherly warmth.
“Tadano-kun, running in the hallways is forbidden, you know?” she chided softly.
Taro doubled over in front of her, clutching his knees as he struggled to pull oxygen into his burning lungs. “S-Sorry, Hana-sensei… I just… I don’t want to be late.”
“Hmm, hmm, now hurry inside, or I’ll mark you as late.” Hana chuckled softly.
Just then, as his heart rate slowed, Taro stood up straight, his eyes inadvertently drifted to the space above his teacher’s head, and his breath hitched.
[Name: Miyamura Hana]
[Role: Minor Villain]
[Sexual Partners: 0]
[Threat Level: EX (Immeasurable)]
At first, Taro actually felt ecstatic seeing Hana-sensei having zero experience, and for a second, even thought of a forbidden romance between student and teacher, but he was splashed with a cold water seeing her role and threat level.
’Wh-What? Immeasurable?!’ Taro’s soul practically shivered. ’What is happening? Why is the kindest, most gentle teacher in the school suddenly labeled as a ’Villain’ and ’Dangerous’?!’
“Tadano-kun, you’re being rude, you know?” Hana said.
She closed her eyes and smiled—an eerie, tight-lipped smile that felt like being plunged into a pitch-black abyss.
For a fleeting moment, Taro thought he heard the crackling of high-voltage electricity in the air, a phantom sound that made the hair on his arms stand up.
“I-I’m so sorry! Please forgive me!” Taro blurted out, a cold sweat breaking out across his brows.
Then, without waiting for a response, he scrambled past her and dove into his seat, his heart hammering against his ribs.
Hana remained in the doorway, her smile fading into a thoughtful frown as she watched him.
’That Tadano… he’s one of the anomalies,’ she mused internally. ’And that feeling just now… as if I’m being observed by something not of this world. Just what is that thing attached to him?’
For a heartbeat, Hana had actually considered a permanent solution, her fingers twitched with the urge to simply eliminate the boy where he sat.
But she reigned herself in, as according to her old friend, the Grand Order would not pursue Kageyama Seijirou for being a magnet for various supernatural anomalies, provided he could prove his worth by eliminating them himself.
To help him, she and Retsu had already been busy and had spent almost everyday hunting down the truly powerful and troublesome anomalies that would be too much for the current Seijirou to handle.
Everything they left behind now was only meant to be a stepping stone for Seijirou to grow even stronger.
’That Tadano is no threat,’ she decided. ’Just a peculiar insect.’
Just then, the bell rang, its loud chime signaling the official start of the school day.
Hana’s eyes instantly returned to their gentle, shimmering state, and her smile seemed to brighten the entire room as she stepped inside to begin the lesson.
