Watch Me - Page 93
I set the Advil bottle next to her glass of orange juice. She glares at it but takes a pill.
“We have lunch out today. I would normally have you come with?—”
She straightens and holds her fork out at me. “Then I’m coming with. This is part of my job.”
“Fine, but if you’re too tired?—”
“Naps are for losers.” She arches an eyebrow at me as she bites off the end of her sausage.
I shake my head, knowing this isn’t an argument I’m going to win, or even need to win. “You let me know if you aren’t feeling good.”
She softens. “Of course.”
We eat in silence until Noah joins us. He grabs a sausage link from the extras and eats it before leaning in to kiss Madison.
“Morning.” Madison’s smile is soft, and her eyes might as well throw hearts at Noah. My heart squeezes a little. We’re all moving faster than planned, but it’s so easy to be consumed by Madison. I just hope Noah doesn’t end up hurt when this is over.
“Morning.” He brushes his lips over hers once again before going to the stove and starting his own omelet.
“We ready for the lunch with Harper Associates?” Noah flips his omelet.
“They’re sending a team of four to meet us at the restaurant.” My gaze lingers on Madison. “The files should all be on your computer for your review.”
Nodding, she finishes her omelet and her orange juice. She rinses her dishes before loading them into the dishwasher I unloaded this morning.
“I need to head up.” She walks toward the door.
“Wait.” I rinse and put away my dish before joining her. “Share an elevator?”
She gives me a coy smile. “Sure.”

The morning went well. I had more energy, my throat doesn’t hurt any more than it did yesterday, and except for my weird voice and the bruises taking on a greenish tinge, I’m doing better. I wrote out a to-do list for the afternoon right before we were supposed to leave for lunch.
I have my tablet ready to go to take notes on. I’ve read through the client files and have a good handle on what they need and what we are going to propose.
Noah walks out first and stops at my desk. “Doing okay today, kitten?”
“Of course.” I smile to cover up my husky voice.
“We’ll leave in ten.” He leans back against a support column. His eyes are heated as they meet mine. “You’re riding with us this time.”
Heat creeps down my spine to pool in my gut. The others join us, discussing this and that until we are all gathered and ride the elevator down. My body grows even warmer with the men all around me in the tight space. Fuck, they’re potent.
Though they occasionally brush against me, no one does anything overt.
When we hit the basement level, Noah puts his hand on the small of my back and leads me to the second car this time.
Seth gives him a look, but Noah ignores him. Maybe I was supposed to ride with Seth again. Coop climbs in on my other side, trapping me between them in the back. Before the driver arrives, Coop rolls up the privacy screen and gives me a wicked grin.
“Fifteen minutes to the restaurant, sweetheart.”
I glance between Noah and Coop, not sure what they hope to accomplish. “Okay…?”
My skirt is loose. Both Noah and Coop run a hand up my thighs, pulling my legs against them. Fire licks my skin beneath their touch. Oh. My breath comes out in a harsh exhale as they both tease the edges of my panties. My heart thumps against my chest.
