I stood at the entrance of the supposed outpost and cleared my throat to get Odeta’s attention, prompting her to turn around to tilt her head at me.

I cleared my throat, “Ahem… I just want to check if there’s anything we should be aware of or things we should or should not do in front of them?”

Odeta chuckled, “Wahahaha! You don’t need to worry about that, Sister Aster! You can just be yourself and there won’t be any problems!”

Huh… Well if you say so…

I stepped into the outpost with the girls following behind me.

Most of the noise was coming from one building in particular and it was only that building that had light shining through the windows while the other two were quiet and completely dark.

I suppose we should head there first to make our presence known.

I stepped up to the door and checked with Odeta who gave me a nod of assurance before I reached for the door and pushed it open.

Almost immediately, I was assaulted with the sound and smells of rambunctious partying as I beheld the scene in front of me.

Everyone in the room was an Amrap, of course, and they all seemed quite drunk to me.

There were mugs strewn about the room that had a distinct alcoholic smell wafting from them and the people in the room were either drinking, fighting or fucking. Some of them even doing all three at the same time.

At least the fights seemed to be spars instead of brawls as the participants were clearly not using their full strength in their fights.

Incidentally, most of them are also in a state of undress with more than three quarters of them going topless at the moment.

Basically… I was looking at what I would describe as chaos being somehow contained in a small room.

I had to tilt my head back to look at their faces and while Mother was definitely still taller than they were, these Amraps were still quite big in size in the muscular sense.

And given the fact that they were mostly undressed… Well… I was basically face to face with their boobs that were bouncing around in front of me.

I was at a loss on how to respond to these big Amraps when Odeta stepped up beside me and placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder while looking at the other Amraps head on.

“You got something you want from my sister?” Odeta asked, cracking her neck.

The Amraps in front of her froze when they saw Odeta.

I almost thought that she would threaten them or something, but she started clapping me on the shoulder proudly.

“Let me introduce you to my sister! Sister Aster!!”

The moment they heard that, their gazes towards me changed and their eyes narrowed accusingly at me.

Err… What did I do? Why do they suddenly look unhappy at me?

“Sister Odeta… Made you part of her family?” One of them asked.

I tilted my head, “Umm… Yes? Is that a problem?”

The Amrap scowled at me for a moment before turning towards Odeta, “Sister Odeta, why did you make her part of your family?”

Odeta thrust out her chest proudly, “Because I love her! Wahahaha!”

The Amraps in front of me definitely didn’t look like they liked that answer and continued to stare at me disapprovingly.

Umm… If I’m going to guess… Maybe they believe I’m unworthy of her or something? I’m not very clear on how Amrap culture works exactly…

What I do know is that they seem to make a big deal about making outsiders part of their family so I know Odeta making me her sister was a big deal to her.

Only thing is that I don’t know how big of a deal it would be to other Amraps since I didn’t think it would concern them.

As though she was oblivious to their stares, Odeta let out a chuckle and pulled me closer to her while waving at the Amraps in front of us, “Anyway!! We just popped in to say hello! We’re going to use the guest house for the night! See ya!!”

As though a switch had been flipped, they turned back to Odeta and were all smiles again.

“Haha!! You’re welcome here anytime, Sister Odeta!!”

“If you need anything just give us a shout!”

“Sister Odeta! Do you want to spend the night with us?! We had a good hunt last night and we don’t mind sharing!”

Odeta let out a bellow of laughter, “Wahahaha! I’m sorry, but I would like to spend my night with Sister Aster here! No offense!”

Once again, the Amraps all turned to look at me with what could only be gazes of disapproval and I could almost feel the tension in the air… If it weren’t for the fact that most of the other Amraps hadn’t even noticed us and were still busy drinking, fighting and fucking behind them.

Odeta then led the way out of that building with her arm draped around my shoulder to usher me towards one of the empty buildings at the side.

“You’re pretty popular, eh?” Lisa commented, peeking behind us as the one of the Amraps stood at the door to watch us leave.

Odeta chuckled, “Hehe~ I suppose so. A got a lot more challenges than I did before I killed that dragon~”

“They don’t seem to like me though…” I pointed out, trying my best to ignore the piercing stares coming from behind.

Odeta actually looked surprised and turned to me, “What?! No way! That can’t be true! They were even eyeing you so much!”

I frowned, “Odeta… Didn’t you see how they were looking at me? It looked like they were ready to just break me apart because they learned that you made me part of your family…”

“Wahahaha! There’s no way that’s true, Sister Aster! You worry too much!”

Hmm… If this was the first time I met Odeta, I would have thought that she was too disconnected with social cues to realise what was happening but… I don’t think this was the case here…

Not only has she gone through my family’s maid training, she has also lived amongst Mahuns for basically half her life at this point.

In fact, there have been instances where she recognised that someone had hostile intent towards me before I even realised it.

So I trust that she knew what she was talking about which meant that those Amraps from earlier actually didn’t hate me… Despite the fact that they were basically just silently glaring at me.

In that case… It means that there’s also another reason why they were staring so intently at me like that… Which actually makes me more nervous now that I think about it…

According to Odeta… She said that they were interested in me… But I’m not sure if she meant that in a sexual way or just a normal kind of interest… Because it certainly felt like they had found some kind of prey that they needed to hunt.

One surprising thing was that neither Tsara nor Ira had any comments about what happened earlier and they retired to their rooms respectively the moment we settled into the guest house.

To the side, I could still hear the Amraps still partying inside that building and I wondered if they were going to do this the entire night.

As I was thinking about returning back to the guest house, I felt a presence behind me and I spun around to see the same four Amraps standing behind me.

All of them had the same look where they were all glaring at me.

“Hey… Could you… Come with us just for a little while?” The lead Amrap asked.
