I was honestly not expecting much from the room here seeing the design of the place but… Guess I should have expected Emilia to throw all the money she could to make sure that was not the case.

Even though the place still had a certain rustic feeling, the room was spacious and the furniture were all of top quality.

There was a private bathroom with a bath and there was even a balcony at the side of the room.

Odeta was also just as impressed as I was when we beheld the room for the first time.

Emilia puffed up her chest proudly, “Of course! Who do you think I am?”

She then turned to me, “What do you think, Boss? Do you like it?”

“It feels cozy,” I answered, nodding in satisfaction.

As the girls got settled into the room, I went over to the balcony to look outside.

She let out a bark of laughter, “Wahahaha! Let me carry you for this, Sister Aster!”

My Amrap lover then started heading towards the fields outside of the town centre where we passed by several buildings that looked like a mix of residences and stores.

The place really gave off the countryside old west town vibes and I basked in the tranquility as Odeta led me down the path.

Seems like we came at a time where they were preparing for the harvest as the fields were pretty much filled with Amraps working the fields right now, gathering what looked like wheat from the field.

Most of them were pretty much focused on their task so we passed by without them noticing us. But the few that did waved and those close to the path even called out to Odeta by name who also returned their greeting by name as well.

“Was this your home?” I asked.

Odeta chuckled, “Ahaha~ I suppose you could say that. I told you that I moved around with my sister, didn’t I? This village was one of the places where I stayed for some time though so I met quite a number of people here~”

“You seem to know everyone here.”

“Wahaha! We’re a pretty tight group, Sister Aster! And they’ve all fought me before when I defeated that dragon so I had a great time sparring with all of them! Although… It doesn’t feel like there’s anyone here that would be a challenge for me anymore though, wahahaha!”

Right… Just saying, she’s still sparring with my Shadow Guards daily and if they were only competing in pure physical strength, my Shadow Guard would usually lose most of the time.

But if they were to fight seriously with all their skills and abilities, my Shadow Guard would usually come out on top.

But Odeta was undoubtedly getting stronger and stronger with each of our spars so I had to keep improving myself to keep up with her as well.

I would say that she’s been a key factor in my growth so far. If it wasn’t for her, I might have actually started resting on my laurels and stopped improving myself.

I turned towards the fields, “Hmm… But if it’s for trade, your crops should also be up for trade as well, right?”

Odeta shook her head, “Not at all. For most villages, the crops and the farm animals are only meant to feed the village itself, that’s why our fields are so small!”

Small? The fields in front of us are at the very least a dozen acres combined!

But for a village of this size which I estimate to only have a hundred or two at most… The amount of farming they are doing seems to be a lot more than necessary to just be self-sufficient.

So for them to use that much land just for agriculture to feed themselves seems a little… Excessive?

Now that makes so much more sense… I guess this would definitely only be enough to feed just this village of Amraps.

We continued down the path towards the ranch where they kept the farm animals.

I was quite interested in what kind of animals they were keeping around here for farming as well.

When we got to the ranch, I found a rather weird sight.

No, it wasn’t because of the animals that I found it weird… It was the fact that the Amraps there were actually dressed properly… And their clothes actually fit the theme.

They were actually wearing what looked like lewd versions of cowgirl outfits with the cropped leather jackets and short pants.

It almost felt like I’ve walked into another world…

In the fields of the ranch, there were some creatures that looked like cows and sheep grazing the land and in the distance, there were those giant chickens that were similar to the one that was pulling the wagon in the Trasif convoy we had just escorted.

“Where do you even get these animals?” I asked.

Odeta grinned, “Would you believe that we actually got them from Lehcarouc Kingdom?”

I turned to her, “Eh? Really?”

“Yep~ We never used to farm animals before but we had trade with Lehcarouc Kingdom which got us some of these animals that we started to breed and ranch them on our own~ In return, we act as Mercenaries for the Kingdom~”

Oh, that’s cool.

I still need to know one thing though…

“Who designed those clothes?”

Odeta shrugged, “I dunno. It was already a thing before I was born. Is it something from your World, Sister Aster?”

“Hmm, hmm~ We got into raising farm animals pretty long ago so maybe… One of the Amraps involved was an Off-Worlder? They probably introduced those outfits as the proper outfits to wear when raising the animals and it just stuck around~”
