- Chapter 1869 - 1869: Cap 1866 (Edited): I Will Ascend Higher! Part 6

“(You know, you were right in a way… this is your son, your creation~…)” (????)
“(One of the 40 children you used as an experiment and the only one who survived.)” (????)
The Dawn Project was created in a laboratory. There were 100 children using our genetic code: 30 of my children with 30 different women, 30 of Mavor’s children with different women, 20 of Urak’s children with different men, 10 of my children with Urak, and 10 of Mavor’s children with Urak.
We needed to test the theoretical effect of the Ascendant Laws within our bodies; we needed a guinea pig with our genetic code for that.
“(Experiment 89 was and always will be the best of our creations; it was truly an incredible process in which everything seemed to fit together like a puzzle…)” (me)
Suddenly, I notice the bandages pulling something out of the child’s mouth, something I knew what it was but couldn’t remember, a round nucleus that looked more like a translucent, egg-shaped bubble.
“(I wonder why this is so successful~~…)” (????)
“(A Law Seed, I don’t remember using it in Experiment No. 89.)” (me)
Law Seeds are a creation of Anomalous Power and Essences, an embryonic form of the Ascendant Law we used in the past. Only when we reached level 2 were we able to abandon their use, as we could refine a Law more easily. Then, implanting that Law directly into a designated target, guiding the Ascension process, was much easier than using these Creation Seeds.
I remember that the first ones to be created were when Mavor, Urak, and I became Ascendants. We used what we learned from our trials to create them.
The Seed of Creation looks a little different. Its membrane seems to be made of Reality Power. Inside, there seems to be another energy besides the Essence and Anomalous power. Its shape is also a little more oval, almost seeming to pulse. Even so, it could only be the Seed of Creation.
“(Don’t try to mess with my memory, we only created the Seed of Creation after many tests, and then used it on ourselves.)” (me)
That figure places the baby inside the hood, where its body seems to fall between colliding universes. Its small body grows and contorts into hideous shapes, disappearing into that endless space. Yet it retains the Seed of Creation.
“(Your arrogance is truly priceless~…)” (????)
“(To call something like that Seed of Creation… you never understood it, you don’t even know where it comes from…)” (????)
“(The name of this is, Anomalous Incubator… well, that should have been the first and only time it was used…)” (????)
“(The copies you made come from the original; that was an Origin Relic I created, a relic that had a very simple purpose~…)” (????)
“(What is doing…!?)” (me)
She seemed very happy, explaining slowly as she approached me. I couldn’t move. She placed two fingers of her bandaged hand on my chin, and it was as if my entire body was being supported by those fingers, as if my weight were nonexistent, as she held me inches from inside her hood. It gave me a horrible and strangely familiar fear.
“(Your arrogance makes all of this so much more rewarding than I imagined, you have no idea how I’ve waited for this moment~…?)” (????)
“(…)” (me)
I wanted to speak, I wanted to question her, I wanted some answer, but I couldn’t say anything, even though I knew it was just my consciousness, I couldn’t do anything, I dictated paralyzed, what was inside that hood was such a fundamental impossibility that my consciousness couldn’t comprehend, my knowledge couldn’t explain, and so I rejected what I was seeing. My mind felt like it was breaking apart, and I’m sure that if my consciousness hadn’t been sealed away from the rest of me, my body would have been torn to pieces.
“(You are wonderful, everything I didn’t want, and for that I am immensely grateful…)” (????)
Snap
She snaps her fingers again, and the figures disappear. The memories return, but this time it was from a time before Project Dawn was realized or even planned.
I remember that day. I was sitting in front of the computer running simulations with Hajak of the various types of energy we captured, as well as their interactions. The containers of bones and highly concentrated blood were scattered around the room, perfectly contained.
My universe was so weak that when we stored a certain amount of those energies, we were able to create the Essences. Simply containing those energies was impossible, and we realized this with the explosion, burning, freezing, and many other catastrophes that several laboratories suffered. The living vessels created by Mavor were not enough to contain so much power. The Essence possesses infinite power compared to the energy we collected. But during these various disasters, I was able to discover that sometimes the disasters were delayed or even avoided in other places. That was when I realized that Essences could balance each other. Essences block and cancel each other out with their opposites while complementing each other with their similar ones. It was a fascinating study that led to the destruction of seven planets and 1,800 of our colonies. Thanks to this, this room was built, a marvel where the position of each Essence was meticulously thought out.
“(I remember that day, it was when I first grasped the power of Chaos; it was the key to the final phase.)” (me)
“(You no longer cared about your universe; at this point, it was just another quest for power, just like so many others had done.)” (????)
“(Our universe was doomed; I would still try to save it; I really did, but it wasn’t possible.)” (me)
In the room, my past self was talking to Hajak, but something was different from what I remembered. The door opened, and Urak left a new Essence capsule in its place. This one was ten times larger, and there were two living beings trapped outside, wearing masks while their veins were connected to the capsule.
“This thing is recent. It formed at the site of the collapse. It seems different from other types of energy. Fortunately, Mavor had teams in the area and managed to capture it while it was dispersing.” (Urak)
“I’ll leave it here. I still have to complete the simulations on the universal structure.” (Urak)
“What container is this?” (me)
“A prototype that Mavor adapted on the spot. It follows the same logic as the old ones, but reinforced over 100 times. I brought it here in a hurry since it was deteriorating.” (Urak)
“I’ll take a look as soon as I finish these simulations.” (me)
I watched Urak leave, and from the same doorway, a hooded figure appeared. She turned to me before walking behind my old self, still talking to Hajak.
“[The simulations for the energy of creation are 100% complete.]” (Hajak)
“So theoretically it’s possible, but the data doesn’t match.” (me)
“[The simulations assume a high level of control over these energies, but the data collected so far in my databases shows fluctuations in the energy itself across all possible analysis scopes.]” (Hajak)
“So we need control, total control… but how would that be done?” (me)
“The energies can be controlled by our machines, but source energies don’t work that way…” (me)
“[The simulations only consider Source Energies and prove ineffective with lower energies.]” (Hajak)
“How are the other two main simulation analyses going?” (me)
“[The simulations for Universal energy are 68% complete, awaiting new research data from Doctor Urak for further analysis.]” (Hajak)
“[The simulations for the enhancement energy are 10% complete; new simulations are impossible with the current information.]” (Hajak)
“None of that matters. We need a way to support the process before integration, but at 10%, I can’t even run tests…” (me)
Sigh
“Let’s take a look at this new energy…” (me)
She just stared, doing nothing else. I couldn’t understand her. I don’t know if this was her in the past or the one messing with me now.
“(The energy of perfection was what would later become the Ascendant Law I possess, but I remember being at 90% that day… why is the memory only at 10%…?)” (me)
“(You’ve always been a conceited person, a person who believes in something and never questions it again, as if everything in your mind was absolute once you’ve decided so.)” (????)
“(That made it so easy to alter your memories~…)” (????)
I stare at the memory without saying anything. I noticed something was strange. The veins around that capsule were pulsing at an irregular rhythm. I could also see faint hints of light in those veins. It was clear that whatever was inside wasn’t truly contained.
Unfortunately, the ‘me’ from that time doesn’t have my current capacity; it doesn’t notice such small oddities.
“It’s vibrating, I have to move it to the best possible position…” (me)
As soon as I touched the container, the two people trapped alive on the sides melted into liquid completely. Cracks covered the entire capsule like a spider’s web before falling apart, revealing what appeared to be a shapeless mass of energy. As soon as it appeared, the entire room trembled. Space itself seemed to move like the inside of a full swimming pool. That thing was falling apart as space collapsed until an opening opened, where a kaleidoscope of unspeakable colors appeared, along with a hand covered in ethereal silver bands.
“But a fool playing with the power of Chaos… let’s see how useful you will be to my new creation…” (????)
From within that hand emerged a translucent egg filled with energy. It was the Seed of Creation, the same one she had taken from baby No. 89, the one who looked different from my creations.
“It seems an incomplete part of Chaos is already within you… Anomalous Power… interesting, whatever it may be~…” (????)
“(An exciting first meeting~…)” (????)
