Will of chaos - Chapter 1901: Cap 1897: Artifact of Infernal Origin

Chapter 1901: Cap 1897: Artifact of Infernal Origin
Everyone was on guard; it was more than clear that this Chimera was trying to deceive us; its intelligence should not be underestimated.
With this thought in mind, I nodded to the others. We must be careful from now on. Ronan’s eyes glowed gold, trying to analyze this thing with its capabilities.
“Why did you want Igor, who wasn’t even trying to attack Igor?” (Me)
“Stupid question. I just wanted to eliminate the weakest one quickly. Did you really think you wouldn’t notice him in there?” (Infernal Chimera)
“[Watch out, they’re coming!]” (Igor)
Suddenly, I heard Igor’s voice, and when I turned around, someone was already inches from colliding with me. I couldn’t even comprehend what had happened before being crushed, commenting on one of the continental islands floating nearby.
At that moment, something moved on top of me, and the pain of such a blow made my entire body ache.
“As expected of a Chaos Bringer, in the wrong place at the wrong time, as always.” (Ayden)
“Ayden!” (me)
“Don’t worry about me, I was just thrown by one of that Colossus’s attacks.” (Ayden)
As the dust settled, I could see Ayden’s armor reforming as he walked. With the last step, a magic circle appeared behind his back, making him disappear.
Wasting no time, I tried to get up, but as things stood, that’s when a large black wolf head appeared, heading toward me.
“< Unholy Breath >” (me)
With such a massive attack, I no longer had time to dodge, so I decided to use my fastest attack, the Breath attack.
My attack hits the inside of his mouth, which covered the sky. An evil energy almost as horrible as Hell itself surges, trying to corrupt my attack. The impasse between my attack and his covers the skies of this damned place as space fluctuates in the shockwave of the continuous collision of powers.
BAAAMMMM! BOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!
RRRRWWW!!!
It was at that moment that I hear more attacks, and suddenly the large jaws, previously open to devour me, along with most of this continuously floating thing, suddenly disappear as three streaks of colored lights streak across the sky.
I spread my wings, advancing against those lights, knowing that one of them was that Infernal Chimera.
“< Sword Technique: River of Blades >” (me)
A single strike from each of my weapons unleashes a massive amount of power, creating millions of small blades of energy following the same flow toward him. It was then that he reacted, too. His three heads looked at me, smiling, their eyes shining and moving independently as if contemplating different things.
Suddenly, multiple tree branches appeared from space, heading toward him. A skeleton also appeared, tearing through the air, trying to reach him, but none of the attacks hit him. He began moving before the attacks even landed.
Just when I thought he had dodged everything, one of his heads was suddenly split in two horizontally. It was Ronan who had sneaked up behind him, escaping even my senses.
“[You have to hurry, the Ascended seem to be watching you, and the Hatred group is clearly targeting Zenos.]” (Igor)
“Why always me!?” (Me)
I was struck by the creature as I was escaping its grab. Sarazar then approached with his sword to cut off its head, missing, cutting this continent in two as the Infernal Chimera transformed into shadow, escaping his blow.
“< Origin Rune: Guardian Demon Runes >” (Davoth)
Davoth appears, launching a combined attack along with his Demonic Summon. Davoth advances against the enemy. A Rune forms on his hand the moment it touches its back. One of its tails attempts to bite Davoth, who retreats as a mark burns the Infernal Chimera’s skin. This burn is shaped like the head of the creature Davoth had indicated, whose Aura becomes twice as strong as it attacks the Infernal Chimera with even greater ferocity.
“[He’s summoning the Infernal Creatures again; you need to finish him off before they appear.]” (Igor)
I understand what he means, but I don’t know how to finish him off quickly. It seems the pain of losing one of his heads has really taken its toll. In fact, I can feel the Infernal power within him growing stronger as the damage accumulates.
Clearly, he was looking for an opening to launch a counterattack, or he had some strengthening technique that needed preparing. Either way, I won’t allow it to happen.
“Hinata!” (me)
“< Anomalous Eclipse Magic: Anomalous Gate >” (me/Hinata)
I look at Hinata, who waves at me. Our hands move simultaneously and in sync. Each of us is on one side of the enemy. Using our connection, this is easy to accomplish. Then, magic and Runes intertwine, summoning something to this place. The space rots and decays like a horrible mud. From the chaotic space that follows, something horrible emerges. It’s a gate made of tentacles that opens disgustingly before millions of arms stretch out, dark arms that try to wrap themselves around him. He struggles, dodging it as best he can, uselessly.
There were simply too many hands, too fast. There was no escape, no way to avoid it. And as expected, as soon as the first dark hand touched his body, hindering his movements, other hands reached their goal of grabbing him. Soon, his body was covered in these hands, trying to drag him into that gate.
“(Quick… I can’t keep this up forever!)” (me)
I was angry at the Chimera’s resistance. This technique wasn’t original to me, but one of the techniques Hinata had invented. It also required her power to perform this technique, which in turn put pressure on my Soul. Hinata’s powers had always been strange to use.
It was at this moment that everyone looked in one direction. A confrontation was approaching. It was the Envoy of Callidora facing the Avatar of Curse. They were approaching us, and it was clear the Ascendants were backing away because of it.
“[You must be careful, Callidora’s Envoy is advancing right there during the fight against the Avatar of Curse.]” (Igor)
“Why would he do that?” (Me)
I couldn’t understand the reason for doing this, but I still tried to advance, pulling the Infernal Chimera faster into the gate where it would be devoured, body and soul.
“< Infernal Artifact Release >” (Infernal Chimera)
Suddenly, the power of the macabre Concept of Hell surged, exploding in all directions like a wild beast awakening from its slumber.
That was when all the dark arms were cut into pieces. The Aura around the Infernal Chimera was changing, becoming sharper, compressing, and Runes began to appear around it. The head it had severed, as well as all the claw wounds those hands had inflicted, and its body were healing very quickly. All its eyes were glowing red.
“[Don’t get close to that thing!]” (Igor)
I wanted to get closer and attack. I wouldn’t allow an enemy to transform in front of me without paying a heavy price, but Ronan appeared in front of me, and Hinata was stopped by Sarazar.
That’s when I noticed the look of panic on Ronan’s face and the serious look Sarazar had fixed on the Chimera, whose body was increasingly changing.
I didn’t understand what was happening until I noticed the transformation of the Infernal Chimera. It wasn’t transforming into a different creature or anything like that; in fact, it was as if its body was being molded as if made of clay.
It was a horrifying sight to see flesh, muscles, organs, and bones being deformed as if an invisible hand were kneading them, compressing them into a specific shape. It was horrifying to witness, and the clearer that shape became, the greater the power of the Concept everyone was feeling.
That thing was taking the form of a sword, a hideous sword. The blade was made of muscles and tendons intertwined with the spine. Surrounding it were bones and sharp teeth, separated like separate sections of the blade. It was clear it was some kind of whip. The hilt was made of leather, with the hilt guard ornamented with black wolf heads. Between the hilt and the blade was a still-beating heart.
It was a horrific sight, an amalgam of horror and cruelty I hadn’t expected to see now. Then the sword moved on its own, making a horizontal slash that cut the gate Hinata and I had created in half before advancing at absurd speed until it fell on the only remaining hand of the Envoy of Callidora, who arrived wounded, facing an insect-like creature.
“What is this thing!?” (Me)
“An Origin Artifact, a Weapon created to carry the power of the Concept.” (Davoth)
“It’s alive… I’ve heard rumors, but… this was the first time I’ve seen it.” (Ronan)
“Disgusting…” (Lolth)
“What a decadent existence, neither alive… nor dead… just eternal suffering…” (Sarazar)
“Hell uses living souls and bodies for its Origin Artifacts; that’s its form of creation. You’ve probably seen the gates of Hell. What do you think they are?” (Davoth)
“…” (me)
