I was standing inside Tarzor, looking at the stars through Freya’s branches, still unsure what to do about that Soul.
I talked to Selene, my mother in this life who spoiled me and cared for me as best she could. After that, I spoke to each of my wives separately to get their opinions, except for Erica, who asked to keep the Soul with her with a disturbing smile on her face. Everyone’s opinion was different.
Ibuki said she didn’t know how to answer; she didn’t have a mother among the Goblins, nor did she spend much time with other mothers. Even so, she told me to follow what I believed and that would be the right thing to do.
Diana said to return the Soul to the Circle of Reincarnation; there was no reason to keep such a wounded Soul and someone unnecessary around. She was very clear in saying that she doesn’t agree with child abandonment.
Kira was the most terrifying; her eyes were crueler than I had ever seen before. She didn’t even say anything, but I didn’t want to listen either; her eyes already said a lot about the atrocities going through her mind, which made me think of her own mother who raised her alone despite lacking limbs and being ill, caring for her until the bitter end.
Kira idolizes her mother; it must have been truly outrageous to hear about what this woman did by abandoning me in my previous life.
Freya, as expected from the only mother among my wives, said that I should know the whole story before deciding what to do. She didn’t try to calm my emotions or try to defend this Soul; she simply said that the truth would help me make a decision, whatever it may be.
Karina had a different opinion; she said that I should get rid of this Soul and forget the past. What happened in the previous life should be left behind; this was a new life, and there was already much to think about without having to add things from a life that was already over. They were all very clear about their opinions, some had very good arguments, others were wise in their words, and others showed a cruelty I didn’t expect to see.
Now I was thinking about everything I heard from my mother and wives, while also thinking for myself, since I didn’t know what to do. I tried to find a middle ground, but with so many opinions so far apart, it’s impossible to find a compromise.
“Why waste time with this Soul?” (Davoth)
“Davoth…” (me)
*Sigh*
Suddenly Davoth approaches, looking at the coffin containing that Soul that I left in the corner while I looked at the stars to think.
I don’t turn to look at Davoth; I’ve never been very close to him or his methods for achieving his goals. Although I respect his intentions, I don’t agree with his methods, just as I don’t like his personality.
“What do you want?” (me)
“An action from you, Urd is trying to keep the universe together and 89 was sent back extremely weak, you could…” (Davoth)
“No, you don’t want me to help…” (me)
I raise my hand and create Starlight Fire, but this time it was different; the flames that always showed a starry sky inside, now showed green stars and many figures moving through the darkness within. To begin with, there were still ethereal green particles being released by the starlight flames.
“Why haven’t you gotten rid of this energy yet?” (Davoth)
“I have nowhere to put it, any container would break. I also need to continuously refine this energy, which I’ve been doing from the beginning and continue to do.” (me)
“I’m not in a condition to use my power at the moment.” (me)
“…” (Davoth)
“I apologize, it seems I’ve said too much.” (Davoth)
“But you destroying the universal core so suddenly caught me by surprise.” (Davoth)
Davoth cares deeply about this universe; he spent thousands of years planning to save this and all other universes connected to it from the Ascendants, even if his plans didn’t work out as planned, the results are close to what he was aiming for at least, so the risk of this universe collapsing, leading to chaos in the other universes, must have been hard for him.
I didn’t tell him or the others what happened to the core; they know about the ritual that was being performed, but they don’t know what I did with it. I didn’t tell anyone precisely because I didn’t know what was happening; Paradox acted as he pleased again.
“Davoth, you don’t like me, do you?” (me)
“I don’t dislike you, I just don’t agree with your way of doing things. You are often irresponsible and sometimes show a dangerous naivety given the level of enemies you have.” (Davoth)
“I understand…” (me)
“You’re old, older than Selene at least, you’ve also seen other universes and seen many things, haven’t you?” (me)
“Yes, but what are you getting at?” (Davoth)
“I want your opinion…” (me)
I tell him about the Soul, about Callidora, I also told him the opinions of my mother and my wives.
I told him all this and waited. I was in doubt about what to do; I needed someone impartial to give me their opinion. Davoth seemed the best person to do this, and that’s why I wanted to hear what he had to say.
“The answer is simple, even for you.” (Davoth)
“What would that be?” (me)
“Look at her memories, find out what happened in the past, and do what you want after that, finally having all the information.” (Davoth)
“You’re not being prevented by anyone; you can easily look at her memories without causing any harm. You can also hand them over to Reincarnation or the Twins to do their work, yet you act as if it’s a difficult task when it’s the opposite.” (Davoth)
“I don’t know if it would be right to bring the past back.” (me)
“The past is a burden that only accumulates; there’s no way to let it go. You just carry it and move forward.” (Davoth)
“In my opinion, you’re just afraid to forgive her. You already have a formed image of her and you don’t want to deviate from it. Avoiding it would be easier, and you already have infinitely bigger problems on your hands, hence the excuses that make you hesitate.” (Davoth)
“…” (me)
“My opinion is… see for yourself and make a decision that leaves you without regret. If possible, talk to her; her consciousness is clearly present and is only dormant.” (Davoth)
“Thank you…” (me)
“No need to thank me, just resolve this quickly. We’re still not safe; War is still present.” (Davoth)
“I know… even so, thank you for your sincerity.” (me)
Davoth said what I needed to hear. I knew what he was talking about, but when someone else says what you yourself are avoiding seeing, it makes it easier to make a decision.
He leaves without looking back. He doesn’t care about my feelings and said what he thought; that’s what I needed. He wasn’t wrong; I’m acting against my usual way.
“See for myself…” (me)
I walk to the coffin and look at the Soul that lies there, many emotions and thoughts passing through me, but I don’t try to act, not now, not while this crazy energy is affecting my power.
“Two more days, just a little longer for me to finish refining this power…” (me)

Pov Urd:
I was looking at the space around me with sorrow. The Flow of Laws had resumed, and all the cracks had been completely repaired. Unfortunately, the rifts couldn’t be repaired so perfectly and left scars that I’m unable to fix for now; I lack the power.
I felt tired. I didn’t think that was possible after becoming an Entity, but I’m still weak, weaker than the Twins. My Concept has a lot to do with the Ascendants and this place; it’s not a developed Concept, it’s very new, and I haven’t done anything to develop it further.
“I need to be stronger…” (me)
I turn my gaze in one direction, the direction of my Temple. I can see 89 lying on a bed, his Aura weak, his consciousness dormant, his power drained, and even his Soul was withered.
I put a lot of weight on him, but he endured everything and also contributed himself, even when he wanted to stop, he insisted on continuing until he lost consciousness.
“You did something commendable, it’s time for me to try and help you now.” (me)
“< Divine Law: Gate Talisman >” (me)
I infuse condemned Divine power in the form of a talisman and write on it using the Ascendant Laws. The spatial power orders itself, and waving my hand forward, I launch the talisman. The space opens, folding and reorganizing until it forms a portal through which I pass, arriving at the entrance of my temple.
I walk past everyone. The Temple was very empty; the Ascendants were mostly injured, and Zenos’ companions were inside Tarzor.
I passed the room where 89 rested, floating amidst the Ascendant Laws that naturally circulated around him, repairing all the damage and recovering his power.
Soon I was in front of a large door, and without wasting time, I take a step forward as the door opens, revealing Urak chained. Her face was dejected, and tears flowed incessantly from her empty eyes. “How about we talk… Urak…” (me)
