Will of chaos - Chapter 1998: Cap 1992: Xerxes

Chapter 1998: Cap 1992: Xerxes
Suddenly I felt a tremor as all the stars shattered and the mirror of water, which had become a stormy sea, began to boil. The burning figure above slowly opened its eyes as endless light emanated from it.
“The time has come, call for me! Give me a new name!!” (Paradox)
“(New name…)” (me)
“You should have spoken sooner!” (me)
“Be spontaneous, Zenos… just say a name that came to mind.” (Paradox)
I looked up and could see Paradox’s flaming smile. This brought back memories of a certain movie, especially one of the characters from that movie who was forever etched in my mind by his smile.
“(Someone mocking and chaotic who seems completely insane most of the time… that name will do.)” (me)
“I give you the name… Xerxes!” (Me)
As soon as I pronounce the name, all this space explodes, launching my consciousness and Will outward.
Cough Cough
Sigh
As soon as I opened my eyes I was coughing, short of breath and weak. I recovered quickly while looking around where the whole world seemed to be evolving into new beings, while from my body an absurd amount of light full of flaming condensed particles traveled like serpents in all directions.
I saw trees grow limbs and walk, I saw flowers detach from the ground, intertwining with other nearby flowers to create green bodies with heads similar to a bouquet of flowers, even pieces of earth rise up forming robust bodies that become increasingly sculpted, and even the clouds in the sky gather as they burn, forming oriental dragons of fire flying through the sky.
I also saw the space itself open up as what appeared to be a boy with rabbit ears and eyes that seemed like bottomless wells of darkness emerged, running and smiling, playing with other children like him amidst the moving forest.
“What is all this…?” (Me)
I was stunned by what was happening. I could feel the changes happening around me, I could feel nature transforming, following something, and it took me a while to realize what that something was: the trail of Paradox’s Will.
Seeing that all these new creatures were acting as if I were a part of this place and didn’t seem to pose a risk to me, I decided to focus more on what was happening within me.
Sigh
With a sigh, I checked where these flaming particles were coming from, then I realized they were coming from deeper than my Soul. Soon I reached the Existential Spark and saw the particles escaping from there like a river of stars originating from the flames of creation.
These particles weren’t just flowing; they were creating a path, and I could feel it trying to pull something from within my Existential Spark. I reached out and gave it a push with my Will.
Soon, a cluster of energy shot out like a cannonball, and when I came to, opening my eyes, I saw a column of Starfire emanating from me while what looked like a cocoon floated from my chest, first only the size of a finger and then growing to almost 2 meters.
As the cocoon appeared and grew, I noticed the movement of everything around me change. Everyone nearby gathered around, keeping a certain distance. Because of this, I saw many other types of creatures I hadn’t seen before.
There were living shadows rising from the ground, birds that, upon closer inspection, revealed themselves to be bird-shaped insects, and even things that looked like people with various colors in their eyes appearing and disappearing like Specters, their clothes being the elements themselves: light, fire, stones, and tree leaves.
All the strange creatures gazed and bowed toward the cocoon, their auras rising to the heavens, revealing that these were all Anomalous Creatures emanating one of two types of Anomalous power; there were thousands of them.
Turning my eyes back to the cocoon, there were no cracks, nor did it begin to disperse; in fact, it began to open like a flower, and in the center was someone.
His skin was white as marble, his hair was blood red, and his eyes were golden with pupils resembling vertical slits.
Golden markings formed what looked like a constellation all over his body. On his back emerged two flaming birds, one burning in black and blue flames, resembling an eagle, the other burning in Starfire, resembling a raven.
The two birds land on her shoulders as they shrink in size, the cocoon that just opened like a flower separates, its petals floating down to her body, joining together in a black dress that seems almost like a shadow.
She looks at me as her heart beats for the first time, creating an impact that seems to affect the entire planet and those still on it, like me.
Her smile widens, her eyes seem innocent while still holding that dangerous glint, as she descends to where I am.
“You finally…” (me)
“You really did it… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH…” (Xerxes)
“Damn it!!” (me)
She didn’t hear me, so I started talking and she was already close enough. She flies towards me, her arms wrap around my neck as she presses her face close to my ear, laughing very loudly, almost stealing my hearing.
I shake my head and throw it back; her clothes, made of those strange petals, become a long dress with a slit on the side.
“What are you doing!?” (me)
“A little joke~…” (Xerxes)
She was beautiful, more beautiful than my mother or any of my wives and daughters, but something in her eyes and presence seemed to hide something frightening; she was as beautiful as she was dangerous. Being near her felt like dancing around a precipice.
“You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this. My mind is clear, my emotions are in order, and my instincts are one with my Will!” (Xerxes)
“Hahahahahahahahahaha… hahahaaha… hahahahahahaha…” (Xerxes)
“…” (me)
She simply began to fly wildly, she grabbed one of the flower people and danced with her in the air as if she were in a ballroom. The flower person changed, her body becoming more feminine and her head changing; soon a normal head formed, revealing a beautiful face with abnormally large eyes full of innocence, and the flowers that formed her head dissolved into petals of multiple colors that joined together as if they were her hair.
After that, she left the flower woman aside and mounted the back of one of the flaming dragons as if she were surfing on top of it, and as she flew, the dragon then changed, its flames materializing into flaming energy fur, and 7 legs like dragon claws emerged from its body while its aura became much more dominant.
She then leaps, diving into one of the Shadow Specters as if it were a pool, and plays with it, intertwining her hands and feet with its while assuming a more nightmare-like form where new limbs emerge from its shadows.
Thus she continued, choosing one of each type of Anomalous creatures present, and the one she chose evolved into an improved form of itself. She did this while seemingly celebrating, humming in the branches of the tree creatures, swimming through space alongside the space children, and sculpting one of the stone people.
All of this lasted for over an hour before she finally seemed to stop.
In the end, she threw herself to the ground like a child who had run out of battery power after playing all day. She let herself fall backward onto the ground and moved her arms as if trying to make an earth angel since there was no snow here, always with that smile on her face.
“Give me a little help…?” (Xerxes)
“…” (me)
In the end, she just raised her arm asking for help to get up. Since she was already close to me, I only needed two steps to reach her, and as soon as I held her hand, I felt a part of my power being sucked and passing through her as she stood up, leaving the angel drawing on the ground to begin to burn.
“What did you do!?” (me)
“I felt someone sleeping when I fell to the ground, so I gave them a little help.” (Xerxes)
“Why did you do all this? Why did you create all these creatures and why did you evolve one from each of your groups!?” (Me)
“I don’t know, I just did it…?” (Xerxes)
“I don’t usually think much, I just do things.” (Xerxes)
“I’m happy and wanted to celebrate, but when I saw my dance partner change, I found it interesting, so I kept doing it, finding it fun.” (Xerxes)
“And use my power on the spirit of the planet!?” (Me)
“I got tired, but I was curious, so I asked for help, wasn’t it obvious?” (Xerxes)
“You think you’d believe something like that!?” (Me)
“Yes, after all… you can sense if I’m lying or not, can’t you~?” (Xerxes)
“…” (Me)
It took me half a second to understand what she was talking about, but I soon realized our connection. It wasn’t exactly like the Eternal Seal that binds Samara to me, but it’s just as strong.
I could invade her mind if I wanted, but I didn’t need that to confirm whether she was lying or not; what she did for no reason surprised me.
“Zenos, I am a being of Chaos; things like planning, coherence, and even logic are merely optional in my daily life…” (Xerxes)
“(I’m starting to regret it…)” (me)
