Will of chaos - Chapter 2031 2031: Cap 2021 (Rewritten): Path of Dreams...

For dozens of minutes I talked with Xerxes and Pride, who seemed to have more to say; she even had an attack plan against the enemies that impressed and frightened me at the same time.
The more she talked about her plan, the more frightened I became. She seemed to have a great understanding of my capabilities and powers; she also knew applications of my Concept that I hadn’t even thought of yet.
Her plan was very plausible, but it still needed certain corrections. Some things were simply impossible to accomplish, while others could be better if they weren’t even attempted.
Xerxes advised me a little about the Concept while we were both pointing out errors in Pride’s plan.
When we left that isolated space, I was attacked by the embrace of that young woman with a Concept power about to emerge.
“Look how beautiful, isn’t my daughter wonderful!?” (Ohara)
“Shouldn’t you introduce her to me?” (me)
“It seems you really didn’t recognize her.” (Ohara)
“…” (me)
I really had no idea who that person could be, something in her gaze seemed familiar, and then I finally understood who it could be. It was clear that the reason no one had tried to introduce me to her, as well as her own fanatical look, was that she knew me.
“Sir, it’s me, Barerosa.” (Barerosa)
She spoke with such love. I looked at Ohara, who just waved her hand while laughing. Ronan had his hand on his face in frustration with her behavior.
“I hope you like my new daughter. She will be the ambassador we agreed upon in our agreement, and I hope one of your wives.” (Ohara)
“Let’s leave that for later. Feelings are built up. Let’s leave that for later for now.” (me)
“You will accept me, I know you will.” (Barerosa)
“(Why does she have to look so much like my daughter…)” (me)
This woman was much more obsessed than before when I was deceiving her by pretending to be an Ascended, now she looks a lot like my daughter Lilith, completely unbalanced.
—————–
3 days later.
For three days, we didn’t try to sleep. I didn’t want to encounter Dream for now; I needed to finalize the strategy and see the viability of Pride’s plan with some tests I did during these days, which helped me understand new ways to use my power.
During these days, my wives spent a long time with Barerosa, while I was dragged along by Xerxes and Pride to make sure I was capable of carrying out the plan.
Only after these days and ensuring that the plan was possible, Xerxes asked me to wait two more days and took Hinata with her. This combination seems frightening to me; I could easily find out what they were doing, but even so, I left the two of them to their own devices.
Xerxes wouldn’t try anything funny now that she’s my Avatar, and Hinata might have difficulty expressing herself, but she’s always been intelligent; she knows me well enough to know what I would or wouldn’t let her do.
That’s why I spent more days training something different. Since becoming an Entity, I haven’t had time to fully tame my Aura, which has truly created lives of its own. I say this in the plural because my Aura has become a cluster of Wills.
I discovered this too late, only during training, but those who travel the Star Path, if expelled, their Wills in the form of shadowy silhouettes will be devoured by the paths they travel. Everything they learned or possess could fall into the hands of those with the will to walk that path.
People can choose to give up walking the path, they can even choose to stand still on the path or do anything; everything would be acceptable as long as it doesn’t interfere with others walking their paths. Therefore, to be expelled from the Star Path, one needs to break a very great taboo: to go against one’s Will, to be dominated by one’s weaknesses. This was unforgivable, and for this reason, the guilty were deprived of their will.
But this only strengthens the Star Path. Then came another thing I hadn’t realized: what really happens to those who travel the Star Path and die?
Their Wills are taken to me, the source of the Star Path. Their Wills merge with mine, the creature that becomes my Aura, a Dragon of Will.
I discovered this too late. It would have been easy to start training before becoming an Entity, but now it was more difficult.
Even so, with two more days of training, my Aura was more obedient. That’s when I saw her arrive.
“Are you ready?” (Xerxes)
“Yes.” (Me)
“Were you waiting for me?” (Me)
“It seemed important, I prefer not to have more variables in Pride’s plan.” (Xerxes)
“Do you think it will work?” (Me)
“I hope so, we only have one chance.” (Xerxes)
“I still think summoning more Entities would be better, I’m sure we could find one that’s easy to talk to.” (Me)
“Better not, the fewer Entities the better, they’ll be more cautious that way.” (Xerxes)
I leave the planet, opening a portal to the Star Palace. Xerxes was smiling the whole time, confidence etched on his face, a confidence I don’t possess, especially in a year like this.
Arriving at the Star Palace, I go straight to a specific room where I find Ohara lying on a bed in the middle of a magic circle that fills the entire room. The Twins and Hinata were also there, sleeping.
The twins seemed peaceful as they slept; Lena looked like a sleeping princess, Cortana looked more like a corpse, so rigid was she in bed. Ohara, on the other hand, was smiling even while sleeping with a certain pressure around her.
My eyes then focused on Hinata. Her sleeping is something only possible when embracing a body, or part of a body—my body.
In Hinata’s arms was a full-body pillow made of my skin, inside were strands of my hair, all prepared for her because of her peculiarities.
The worst part was seeing her sleep floating in the air, clutching that pillow, with strange things emerging from her body: mouths opening from her arms, tongues hanging out and drooling; strands of her hair moving like snakes around her, and tentacles sometimes emerging from her back.
Now that it’s been years since the plan began, I only had doubts about whether it would work.
“Will it work?” (me)
“I don’t know, I hope so.” (Xerxes)
“But if you have a better plan, I’m all ears.” (Xerxes)
“…” (me)
Left speechless by her calmness, I walked to one bed while Xerxes walked to another. There were the right number of beds in this place; the Ritual Circle was to ensure everyone was within the same dream, and for that, everyone had to sleep here first.
As soon as I closed my eyes, I managed to fall asleep. At my current power level, sleep wasn’t a necessity; it was a pleasure I could enjoy or not, falling asleep whenever I wanted.
As I drifted off to sleep, I felt myself being pulled somewhere. When I looked, I was in a room the size of a hall, everything made of stone, and the bed looked more like a large altar with a huge mirror that seemed to lead to a world of mist.
Dream appeared lying on the bed and stood up, looking at me, her face appearing as if it were Vanessa’s, one of my daughters.
“It seems you brought more people, but did you really think a ritual of this level would work?” (Dream)
“You can’t blame me for not trusting someone I just met.” (me)
“Fair enough…” (Dream)
Along with her words, suddenly everyone appeared around me. Hinata was hugging me, Ohara was beside me with her golden armor stained with blood, the Twins were calmly beside me, and Xerxes was trying to tear Hinata from my body.
“Is everything ready?” (me)
“Yes, that’s the path of dreams I prepared.” (Dream)
Dream points to what looked like a floor-to-ceiling mirror, its frame ornate in crystal, and a faint reflection on its surface, which only makes the mist moving inside seem stranger.
“Before we go, I need to know if there’s any risk of being attacked by your Avatars.” (me)
“No, they’ll know who you are.” (Dream)
“But I think you’ll at least need to know what they look like.” (Dream)
Snap
Dream snaps his fingers, which seem longer than they should be, and images of Dream’s Avatars flash through my mind.
“Shall we go?” (me)
“We’ve done all the preparation possible.” (Xerxes)
We spent 5 days preparing for this, a plan with many risks, and now I’m trusting that Dream, an Entity I’ve never heard of, isn’t a traitor plotting something against me.
Xerxes seems to trust Dream, Pride seems to think so too, thankfully I have no reason to doubt too much, nor does he seem to be lying about his Avatars.
I wave to everyone and walk to the mirror. Dream seemed like a news anchor standing in front of us, staring into the mirror, the reflection of another face being reflected, this time it was the face of Diana’s mother.
“I will open the Path of Dreams.” (Dream)
