It took a while for Lin Fan to slowly adapt to the sweltering personalities of his new subordinates.

It was even more so for the boss Yan Tian Ta who was a red haired middle aged man.

It was no wonder the boss didn’t show himself in front of others normally since he was someone that attracted attention.

But this one that came out from one of the doors on the side was the perfect example of a calm and collected person. At the same time, there was a part of him that seemed to exude confidence.

If Lin Fan had to guess, he was most likely the brains behind this squad that seemed to use more muscle than brains.

Before he could come too close, Yan Tian Ta suddenly grabbed Yu Fei by the collar to pull him back before looking at Lin Fan with an awkward look. A part of this was almost as if he was apologizing for Yu Fei’s actions.

As expected, it didn’t seem like normal people joined this squad.

Though he looked like the cool and collected type, the fact that he was a part of this squad already said more than enough about him. He was just like the others, he was also as sweltering as the rest of this True Fire Squad.

Still, that was just his personality, it wasn’t as if this was a measure of his ability.

It was the truth for all of the True Fire Squad.

They had become a bit excited to see him, but they immediately became serious once they had gotten it out of their system.

After all, they knew that Lin Fan wouldn’t have just come here to talk to them for no reason.

There had to be something that Lin Fan needed from them if he came all this way since they were supposed to be a hidden squad that was waiting for orders.

Once they all calmed down and revealed serious looks like this, Lin Fan matched them with a serious look of his own before saying, “I’m here on a mission from my master. I have been told to obtain your assistance in finishing this mission.”

“The Sovereign?” The members of the True Fire Squad revealed shocked looks when they heard this.

But at the same time, there was no hiding the respect that was in their voices and in their eyes when they said. It was clear that they were filled with respect towards the Fire Fist King.

Then again, the Fire Fist King was the one that had built their squad and trained them up.

Once again, it seemed like they were getting fired up just like before.

Lin Fan even felt that it would be a bit more than just sweltering this time.

It seemed that they wouldn’t be able to hold themselves back now that they knew just who it was that gave them this mission.

After a long silence where it seemed like the ones from the True Fire Squad had been working through their emotions, Yan Tian Ta suddenly looked at Lin Fan and said with a serious look, “What is the mission?”

Lin Fan was just caught off guard by how serious they were being.

At the same time, he couldn’t help feeling a bit off because of the intensity that they gave off.

This was a completely different feel from before.

“Do they really have that much respect for the Fire Fist King?” That was the thought that rang in his mind when Lin Fan saw them acting this way.

But in the end, he said, “It’s not that hard of a mission, it’s just one that my master gave me because this is my first time doing a mission.”

“First mission?” Yan Tian Ta slowly repeated when he heard this.

Though it sounded like he was just repeating what Lin Fan said, Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling that there was something off about the way that he said this. It was almost as if there was something special about this to him with the way that he repeated it.

In the end, it seemed like not just Yan Tian Ta, but the entire True Fire Squad became even more intense because of this.

Lin Fan had no choice but to tell them what the mission was, though he couldn’t help feeling a bit worried that they would be disappointed because of the mission. After all, this was a mission that was considered a bit too simple for a squad at the level of the True Fire Squad.

However, it turned out that this wasn’t the case.

The moment that they heard the details, the True Fire Squad immediately went into action.

“Go and move all those people that we’ve bought over during this time, make sure that you get every bit of information that you can from them.”

“The execution squad should prepare for a fight right away. This isn’t just a simple fight, but a mission to wipe them out. So make sure that you don’t let your guard down for even a second and take them all down. The worst thing is if we let even a single one of them escape.”

“Where’s our logistics department? Have them prepare all the things that we need once we rescue the hostages. This is what they trained for, so how could they be this slow?”

Lin Fan really didn’t know what to say when he saw Yan Tian Ta and Yu Fei giving commands like this.

It seemed like the mood had completely shifted where he was no longer in charge.

It was the two of them that suddenly took charge like this and were preparing everything for him. It didn’t seem like there was a single thing that Lin Fan needed to do for this mission, he could leave it all to the True Fire Squad.

When he actually tried to do something, they just ushered him over to the chair that was in the center of the room.

This was the chair that he noticed when he arrived in this place, the one that Yan Tian Ta didn’t sit in even though it was clearly for the boss of this place.

It seemed that they had saved this for the one that they called their master, that was just how well they had been trained as a squad to serve. They didn’t aspire to become their own masters, they just fully served the one that took the spot as their master.

In no time at all, the reports started coming in.

Lin Fan’s expression became strange when he heard these reports.

After all, there wasn’t a single mistake that was made by the True Fire Squad.

They had found the base of the bandits within just a few hours and they had surrounded it in even less time. It didn’t even take an hour for them to completely surround the base, but they still didn’t attack.

Instead, they took this time to prepare the things that would be required to take care of the hostages that they would save. They were certain that there would be hostages since they had already explored the entirety of the camp and knew what was in it.

This kind of efficiency was terrifying to see in action…

But then again, it wasn’t as if the bandits could have done anything to this True Fire Squad.

This was a group of bandits from a middle of nowhere small country like this, there really wasn’t anything that they could do against one of the squads that had been trained by the Heavenly Demon Sect.

Just a single Golden Core Realm member of the True Fire Squad should already be enough to deal with the entire group. And this was the full force of the True Fire Squad that was moved.

It really seemed like they wanted to impress Lin Fan with the way that they did this.

Lin Fan’s lips couldn’t help curling in a bit of a bitter smile since they had basically ignored him during all of this. Of course, it wasn’t that they were ignoring him because they looked down on him, they just wanted to take care of this matter themselves and not trouble him at all.

After a moment of silence, Lin Fan gave a simple nod as he said, “Take care of it.”

Five minutes.

That was all that it took to completely eliminate this camp of bandits after Lin Fan gave the order to strike.
