- Chapter 1149 - 1149: Completely surrounded

After the True Fire Squad took care of everything, there really wasn’t anything left for Lin Fan to do.
So in the end, he just told them of their new assignment.
He had been worried that they would be against going to a place like the Mu Empire, but it turned out that the loyalty that had been instilled in them wasn’t something to look down on.
As long as it was an order, it seemed that the True Fire Squad would accept any instructions from him.
So as soon as he told them that he wanted them to go to the Mu Empire, they had already started packing up everything.
Even though they had established themselves in this place over a long period of time, they didn’t hesitate to leave this place.
Though it wasn’t as if they were going to completely abandon everything that they had set up in this place. All of the things that they had set up in this place was a valuable resource and was something that they could use in the future.
That was why there were arrangements that had to be made for someone to watch over this place after they left.
It was also why they couldn’t leave right away and they couldn’t accompany Lin Fan to his next destination.
Though judging by the look on their faces when they sent him off, it really seemed a bit special.
After all, the way that they were looking at him sent a chill down Lin Fan’s spine.
It was almost as if they were his girlfriends that were being left behind by him…
“Please, we don’t have that kind of relationship.” Lin Fan thought in his mind when he saw them like this.
In the end, there was only one person that came with him.
It was the waiter that had led him into the back in the first place.
Though he was a waiter, he was also a member of the True Fire Squad.
Lin Fan was surprised to find that this waiter was actually in the Peak Soul Building Realm, which meant that he was far stronger than him. But in terms of the entire True Fire Squad, he could only be considered one of the normal members.
That really put into perspective just how many experts were in the Heavenly Demon Sect to begin with.
It also put into perspective just how weak he was against the Five Great Sects.
Lin Fan had thought that he had made some progress after reaching the Golden Core Realm. He had even thought that he had reached quite the high position that he was even able to mess with the Kalos Empire.
But now he realized that this was all because of the Laver Empire and how the magic continent’s system was. It wasn’t actually because of him that he had been able to do all of this.
If it wasn’t for the Laver Empire holding back the six factions, then things would have been far worse.
Still, it was a good thing that he had obtained this guard.
It certainly made him more confident about traveling around on this cultivation continent in the future.
In a sense, he could be considered someone with a backing now.
The waiter was called Yu Cang and was the nephew of Yu Fei who was the vice leader of the True Fire Squad.
During the time that they spent together, Lin Fan found that Yu Cang was completely different from how he thought he was. Gone was the stoic side of him that he had seen when they had first met.
Now, it seemed like Yu Cang didn’t hold back at all as he chatted with Lin Fan.
Though Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a bitter smile seeing Yu Cang like this.
After all, was it really alright for Yu Cang to be blabbing about himself like this?
Lin Fan had learned quite a bit about him that he felt that he shouldn’t know.
After all, Yu Cang was a part of a secret squad that should have kept their information hidden…
He didn’t seem to act this way when they passed by other people, but the fact that he was blabbing about all of this to Lin Fan in the first place wasn’t a good sign either.
In the end, Lin Fan was able to survive without getting his ear talked off.
That was because they arrived at the place where the Wisteria Squad was hidden.
They didn’t have to travel that long since Yu Cang had taken out a special artifact that they used to travel with. It wasn’t a flying boat, but it wasn’t slower than a flying boat.
As expected of a squad that was trained by the Heavenly Demon Sect, they naturally didn’t lack things like this.
Once they arrived in the city, Yu Cang returned to the same side of him as when Lin Fan first met him. He had to admit that he liked this side of Yu Cang much better than the other side of him that wouldn’t stop talking.
When they arrived in the city, Lin Fan followed the instructions that he had been given to contact the Wisteria Squad.
It was just that the moment that he arrived, he couldn’t help wondering if he had the wrong place.
After all, this place was completely different from the tea shop that the True Fire Squad was running.
When he saw the place that the information led him to, Lin Fan had to take another look to make sure that he was in the right place. But no matter how he looked at the instructions, there was nothing that changed.
This was without a doubt the right place.
There were a few men that chuckled when they saw Lin Fan standing there as if he was too shy to go in.
After all, this was the kind of place that normal people wouldn’t enter casually.
In a way, it was their way of hazing a newcomer.
Taking a deep breath, Lin Fan led the way into the brothel with Yu Cang following him.
But the way that the two of them walked in attracted quite a bit of attention.
Yu Cang was stoic as if he didn’t let a single thing bother him which people misunderstood as him being nervous.
Lin Fan on the other hand had a bitter smile on his face the entire time, as if he didn’t think that he should be in this place.
When people saw the two of them like this, they naturally couldn’t help thinking of themselves in the past. That was why in no time at all, there were several girls that came over to lead the two of them to a table.
As they passed, there were men that gave them nods and encouraging smiles.
They had sent these girls over as a gesture of goodwill. It was similar to how a senior would take care of a junior when they did something for the first time.
Only Lin Fan certainly didn’t need this kind of care from these people…
“Ke.” With a cough to clear his throat, Lin Fan then said, “I would like a private room, preferably in the Wisteria Suite.”
The girls didn’t seem fazed at all when they heard this, but a few of them did walk off after this. There were only a few that stayed by Lin Fan’s side while one of them suddenly leaned in to say, “Young master, please wait a moment as we prepare that room for you.”
Lin Fan gave a simple nod and waited with Yu Cang as those girls moved away once they finished showing him a place to sit. But there were a few girls that did remain with them, but it didn’t seem like they were there just to entertain them.
It seemed that they were there to watch over them, as if they were afraid that Lin Fan and Yu Cang would run away.
Half an hour later, the girl returned and she said, “Please follow me, your room is ready for you now.”
Lin Fan gave a simple nod before standing up to follow her into the back.
Only the moment that they entered the room…
“Shing.”
There were blades that were drawn by all of these girls that they pointed at Lin Fan and Yu Cang.
However, it didn’t seem like they had any ill intentions towards them.
They just surrounded them so that they wouldn’t be able to do a single thing.
Yu Cang slightly knitted his brows when he saw this, but it seemed like he was angry for a different reason as he was looking at the blades that were pointed at me rather than worrying about his own safety.
“You’re not dead because we know you’re from the Heavenly Demon Sect.” The girl that led us here said this before looking at Yu Cang, “To think that someone from the True Fire Squad actually stepped into the territory of our Wisteria Squad. I think that you two don’t want to leave with your manhood.”
As she said this, the other girls lowered their blades so that it was pointing at the place between their legs.
Lin Fan just gave an awkward cough before saying, “I was the one that brought us here.”
“Oh? And why is that?” The girl said while casually holding her blade, but she certainly could have used that blade at any moment to strike.
Instead of giving an answer, I just took out the token that had been entrusted to me.
