The girls seemed confused when they saw the token at first, but that was more because they couldn’t actually see what was on the token rather than them being confused by it.
This room that they had led Lin Fan into was quite dark in the first place.
Of course they would want to do this kind of business in a dark room to avoid attracting attention.
But eventually they were able to see what was on the token that Lin Fan held.
The same thing happened as with the True Fire Squad where there was a look of shock that appeared on their faces.
When Lin Fan saw this, there was no hesitation from him as he pulled out something else to show them.
He had already guessed what their next question would be, so he just pulled out the thing that he needed to show them without any hesitation.
This was another ring that he had received from the Poison King.
Just like how the Fire Fist King had given him a ring to prove his identity as the Fire Fist King’s disciple, the Poison King had done the same.
A look of further shock appeared on their faces when they saw this ring.
It seemed like they just simply couldn’t believe what was in front of their faces with the expressions that were on their faces. But in the end, they had no choice but to accept this since the facts were there.
During all of this, there was this look of schadenfreude that appeared on Yu Cang’s face when he saw the reaction that these girls had to the token and ring that Lin Fan brought out.
Though there was also a trace of surprise that was on his face.
It shouldn’t have actually been a surprise since Lin Fan had already told him and the rest of the True Fire Squad about this before he left. But seeing the token and the ring for himself was certainly a different experience.
Seeing it in person was completely different from just hearing about it.
When they finally came back to their senses, the girls suddenly revealed respectful looks before falling to one knee. With their heads bowed slightly, the girls said, “Greetings to the Junior Sovereign.”
Lin Fan was already used to this because of the way that the True Fire Squad had acted previously.
Though he was a bit surprised that this level of loyalty wasn’t something that was just trained into the True Fire Squad. It seemed like this level of loyalty was something that was trained into each of the squads that were a part of the Heavenly Demon Sect.
Once Lin Fan came back to his senses, he said, “Take me to your leader.”
The girls immediately put away their weapons and the one that had been leading them gave a nod before leading the way out of this room.
This time, they took Lin Fan and Yu Cang to a completely different place.
It was a place that was similar to the large room that was behind the tea shop.
It seemed that this place was the headquarters for the Wisteria Squad in this brothel.
This was further shown by the people that were running around in this room.
Just like before, there was someone that was at the head of it and like with Yan Tian Ta, she wasn’t sitting in the main seat. She was sitting in the chair that was right beside the main seat as if she recognized that she was the second in command.
The moment that the leader of the Wisteria Squad saw Lin Fan’s group, she immediately narrowed her eyes before saying, “Hong Ling, what is the meaning of this? I told you that you can’t keep playing around like this.”
Then after saying this, she narrowed her eyes to look at Lin Fan and Yu Cang.
After looking at them like this for a bit, she suddenly said, “Guests from the True Fire Squad, unfortunately we do not have the capacity to entertain you right now. Please return to where you came from.”
Just a single look was enough for her to tell that Yu Cang was from the True Fire Squad.
This was something that was just expected from one of the leaders of the squads under the Poison King. If they couldn’t do something like this, then they certainly wouldn’t be qualified to lead a squad like this.
The girl that had led this group and was called Hong Ling said, “Big sis…Boss, it isn’t like that at all. There’s something that I have to show you.”
After saying this, she looked at Lin Fan as if she was waiting for him to do something.
He naturally knew what she was asking for, so he didn’t waste any time in taking out the token and ring from before.
The moment that the leader of the Wisteria Squad saw this, she had a shocked look on her face.
It wasn’t just her that had this shocked look, it was everyone else in this room that had the same shocked look. They had all stopped what they were doing and were now looking in Lin Fan’s direction with these shocked looks.
After a long silence, the leader of the Wisteria Squad stood up and fell to one knee before saying, “Greetings, Junior Sovereign.”
“Greetings, Junior Sovereign.” The rest of the girls in this room all fell to one knee as well before offering the same greeting as their leader.
Lin Fan wasn’t surprised since he had seen this several times already.
Instead, he just said, “Tell me about the structure of your squad and how much influence you have in the surrounding area.”
The leader of the Wisteria Squad seemed surprised to hear this, but she didn’t waste any time in giving her instructions to the girls around the room.
Once they received their orders, they also didn’t waste any time in gathering all of the information that Lin Fan asked for.
But once they brought it all over, it didn’t really seem like Lin Fan was that interested in reading it. Other than giving it a few glances, Lin Fan just put it to the side as if he didn’t really care.
The leader of the Wisteria Squad couldn’t help slowly asking, “Junior Sovereign, is something wrong?”
Lin Fan shook his head before saying, “There’s nothing wrong at all. I can see that you’ve all been working hard to maintain this Wisteria Squad. There really isn’t anything that I can say about how well you’ve done.”
It seemed like his compliment hit the spot for these girls as all of them revealed smiles.
Even the leader of the Wisteria Squad seemed happy to hear what Lin Fan had to say.
Even though he had only met them today, it seemed like they cared quite a bit about his opinion.
That was all attributed to the loyalty that had been instilled in them when they trained to become the Wisteria Squad.
However, Lin Fan wasn’t done as he suddenly gave a sigh that brought their attention back to him before saying, “It’s a shame that instead of coming here with a reward for all of you, I’ve come with a mission.”
“A mission?” The leader of the Wisteria Squad repeated, but there was no hiding the trace of excitement that was in her voice.
At the same time, it seemed like the eyes of all the Wisteria Squad members filled with excitement when they heard this.
Lin Fan just gave a simple nod before saying, “That’s right. The reason that I came to find you is because my master gave me my first mission and told me to come look for your help in accomplishing this mission.”
As soon as they heard this, they seemed like they were even more excited.
“Junior Sovereign, please give your order. We will go through flames and blades for you.” The leader of the Wisteria Squad suddenly said this as she fell to one knee again.
The others did the same thing as soon as the leader of their squad did this.
This brought an awkward look to Lin Fan’s face before he said, “Get up, there’s no need to do this every time. Otherwise, it’ll take a while just to have a simple conversation.”
The leader of the Wisteria Squad gave a nod before standing up.
Though she still looked at him as if she was waiting for her orders.
Lin Fan just gave a simple description of the mission that he had been given since he didn’t want to let them do everything like the True Fire Squad had done. But even with this simple description, it didn’t take long for the Wisteria Squad to suddenly spring into action.
They did the exact same thing as the True Fire Squad where they moved all of their resources to find the herb that Lin Fan was supposed to find.
At the same time, they didn’t let Lin Fan do a single thing…
Only they took it a bit further than the True Fire Squad.
Hong Ling’s group came over with food and drinks for Lin Fan before surrounding him while he sat in his chair.
The leader of the Wisteria Squad said, “Junior Sovereign, please relax while we take care of this. If you have any requests, please feel free to make them. And when I say any request, I really mean any request.”
At that, the girls that were around Lin Fan seemed to lean forward to give him a better view.
“Old man! Is this really how you trained your squad!” Lin Fan couldn’t help complaining about the Poison King when he saw this.
