After the mist figure appeared, it didn’t seem like it was interested in the mist people at all.

Even the priest who had been the one holding the mist figure’s idol didn’t seem to receive any attention from this mist figure.

Instead, it was the pile of corpses that had been laid in front of the mist figure that attracted all of its attention.

Once it saw this, the mist figure didn’t waste any time in raising a hand towards it.

As soon as it raised its head, there was mist that came from that hand. This mist separated from the mist figure and floated towards the pile of corpses on the ground before completely surrounding it.

With the mist surrounding it, it was hard to tell what was happening to this pile of corpses.

But after a while, the mist seemed to shrink.

Even though the mist shrunk, it didn’t seem like there were any parts of the pile of corpses that were revealed. With the way that the mist shrunk, it was almost as if the pile of corpses had disappeared from under the mist.

When the mist completely disappeared, all of the corpses that had been there disappeared without a trace.

Lin Fan couldn’t help slightly knitting his brows when he saw this, but there was nothing that he could do since he was in the middle of enemy territory. Even if he wanted to do something, the conditions were all against him.

So in the end, Lin Fan could only watch as the mist figure devoured all of the corpses that were there.

Once it was all over, the mist figure finally turned to look at the priest.

With the way that it looked at the priest, it seemed like the mist figure was satisfied with the performance of the mist people. In fact, it even raised a hand as if it was about to do something to show this satisfaction.

The priest’s eyes immediately lit up when he saw this and he immediately raised his hands as if he was accepting whatever the mist figure was giving him.

There was something that came out of the mist figure’s hand and dropped into the hands of the priest.

It seemed like it was several balls of mist that suddenly dropped into the hand of the priest.

These balls of mist didn’t seem like anything special, but the priest acted as if this was a treasure based on the expression on his face and the way that he held it. It seemed like he didn’t want to let a single thing happen to these balls of mist.

Lin Fan couldn’t feel anything from those balls of mist that the priest received, but he could see the looks on everyone else’s face. It was clear that they also were in awe of the balls of mist that the priest had received.

Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling even more confused about this, but it wasn’t as if he could get to the balls of mist like this.

At the same time, Lin Fan was worried about something else.

Even though the mist figure had clearly finished giving the balls of mist to the priest, it didn’t seem like the mist figure was about to leave.

The mist figure continued to stand there in front of everyone, as if there was something else that this mist figure wanted.

“Did it notice me?” Lin Fan couldn’t help thinking to himself when he saw the mist figure acting like this.

Once the mist figure had finished giving the balls of mist to the priest, it suddenly raised its hand at the mist people that were still bowing.

The moment that this happened, the mist people immediately started raising their hands into the sky and started cheering for the mist figure.

The mist figure just stood there watching all of this.

Though Lin Fan couldn’t see any of the features of the Mist Lord, he could tell that this Mist Lord was satisfied with the actions of the mist people. It seemed like it was happy to see that people were worshipping it like this.

However, Lin Fan couldn’t understand why it wanted people to worship it like this.

Did the Mist Lord even have anything to gain from being worshipped by them like this?

After this continued for a while, it seemed like the Mist Lord was finally satisfied with the treatment that it received from these mist people. It seemed like it was satisfied with being worshipped by them like this.

Once it was all over, the Mist Lord passed a few more mist balls to the priest before disappearing into the idol once more.

It didn’t seem like it had discovered Lin Fan since it had never looked in his direction once during this time.

After the Mist Lord disappeared, it seemed like everyone knew that it was time to scatter. Most of the mist people just walked off as if they were going to handle their own matters.

It was only a few of the mist people that were at the front of the crowd that were invited into the building by the priest.

One of them was the leader of the team that Lin Fan had followed.

He could guess who these people were just based on this one leader.

It was clear that they were the ones that had led the hunting teams, which was why they received this special privilege. Even in this village of mist people, it seemed that there were certain few that received better treatment than others.

However, there was one thing that Lin Fan was curious about.

It was those mist balls that the Mist Lord had granted the priest.

As they were heading into the building, Lin Fan could see that they were being handed the mist balls by the priest. This seemed to be the reward that they were receiving from the Mist Lord for their service.

After thinking about it, Lin Fan decided to take a risk.

He knew that there wouldn’t be anyone that would miss him if he were to disappear from the mist people village with how the mist person he was disguised as was treated. So even if he were to just leave a simple illusion of that mist person walking around, it wouldn’t be a problem for him to sneak into the building.

The thing that decided it in the end was the fact that the Mist Lord hadn’t been able to find him.

It was completely possible that he had only been able to hide because he was in between the other mist people, but that didn’t matter right now.

The only thing that mattered was seeing what would happen after those mist people took those mist balls.

That was why Lin Fan created two separate illusions.

One would be of the mist person walking around to different parts of the village and acting normal. The other was one that would stop anyone from actually seeing him as he followed the priest’s group into the building.

In the end, there was no one that discovered him.

As he had expected, his illusions were good enough to hide him.

After entering the building, they didn’t actually go that far.

That was because even though this building was big, there was only one room that was in this building.

The first thing that was done was that the priest went to the altar that was at the center of the room and placed the idol that he had been holding on that altar. After putting that idol in the altar, the priest even made sure to bow his head to the altar.

The other mist people weren’t that different as they all bowed their heads as well.

Once they were done with this, that was when the main event happened.

All of them gathered in a circle before bringing out the mist balls that they received.

“Ugh, ugh.” It seemed like they were discussing something with the way that they made these noises, but Lin Fan had no idea what they were saying since he didn’t understand their language.

When they were done, they finally brought the mist balls to their mouths at the same time and swallowed them.

There wasn’t a reaction that came from the mist people at first after they swallowed the pills, but it didn’t take long for mist to come out of their bodies.

It wasn’t as if the mist came from the holes in their bodies, it seemed like the mist was seeping out of the very core of their bodies with the way that it came out. It didn’t take long for each of these mist people to be surrounded in the mist that they exuded.

This continued for a while before the mist finally faded away.

When the mist people were revealed, they seemed leaner and paler compared to before.

However, Lin Fan could tell that this wasn’t a sign that they had become weaker.

Rather, it seemed like they had become stronger than before.

They were lean because their muscles had been condensed.

They had become pale because their skin had been refined to be stronger than before.

In short, they had become stronger after taking the mist balls.

Though Lin Fan couldn’t exactly tell what it was about the mist balls that had made them stronger.

“It must be because they are linked to the Mist Lord, so they become stronger by receiving his power from the source?”

That was the only theory that he had.
