With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods - Chapter 1207: Forming an adventurer party

Chapter 1207: Forming an adventurer party
“How much of this are you certain of?”
Hearing Haku’s question, I said, “I personally went and checked everything, so I’m certain of everything that is on that report.”
Haku couldn’t help slightly knitting her brows when she heard this, but she didn’t say anything in response. The look on her face showed that she was thinking about what was written on the report.
After a while, she finally said, “Then let’s do this. It’s time for you to form a new party at the Adventurer’s Guild.”
“Huh?” Lin Fan couldn’t help being caught off guard when he heard this before looking at Haku as if he couldn’t understand the words that came out of her mouth.
That was because he actually couldn’t understand what she meant by this.
There was no reason that he had to form a new party just to take care of the problem in the Mist Lands. After all, it wasn’t as if any party from the Adventurer’s Guild would even be enough to help with this matter.
What the Mist Lord in the Mist Lands was trying to do was become a god, this wasn’t something that just anyone could deal with.
The main reason that Lin Fan had come back with this report in the first place was all just to get Haku’s help on this matter.
He needed Haku’s power to deal with the Mist Lord since he wasn’t confident in taking care of the Mist Lord on his own.
As for Haku, her incentive to take care of the Mist Lord was the fact that it posed a threat not just to the Laver Empire, but to the entire magic continent.
Yet now, it didn’t seem like Haku was interested in making a move.
Before Lin Fan could say anything to try and convince Haku, Agnus suddenly cut in.
“There’s a reason for this. It’s the only way that her majesty can actually make a move.”
Lin Fan looked at her with an even more confused look when he heard this, but there was a part of him that was also surprised.
Normally, it would be Agnus and the other subordinates of Haku that would try to convince her not to do anything. But this time, it seemed that not just Agnus, but also the other subordinates of Haku that seemed to go along with this.
It seemed that they understood how dangerous the Mist Lands and the Mist Lord were, so they didn’t stop Haku from doing this.
Still, Lin Fan was confused about what Haku was planning…
“Then if we form this party, you’ll be able to come to the Mist Lands?” Lin Fan slowly asked Haku.
Haku gave a nod in response without actually explaining anything.
Since that was the case, Lin Fan didn’t ask anything else as he waited to see how this would turn out.
But there was another problem…
“I want to come as well.”
The moment that Rokuko said this, Haku and Lin Fan immediately knitted their brows to look at her.
One would think that Haku would go along with what Rokuko wanted since this was what she had been doing for the longest time now. But this time, she couldn’t go along with what Rokuko wanted since this was just putting Rokuko in danger.
However, even with Haku trying to convince Rokuko against going to the Mist Lands since she knew that this time was just too dangerous.
“If you’re strong enough to deal with this, wouldn’t you be strong enough to protect me as well?” Rokuko said almost as if she was posing a challenge to Haku.
The moment that she said this, Haku immediately fell silent.
There was a strange look that appeared on Haku’s face as if she was struggling with what Rokuko just said.
It wasn’t that she didn’t understand what she said, it was just that her words caused a conflicting feeling to fill Haku.
There was a part of her that wanted to keep Rokuko safe…but there was another part of her that wanted to bring her along so that she could prove how powerful she was.
That was why she was struggling on what to do next.
In the end, Rokuko said, “If you don’t bring me along, then he won’t go either.”
Lin Fan was surprised to hear this, but he didn’t say anything as he waited to see what Rokuko was planning.
Haku was completely shocked and a bit hurt hearing Rokuko’s firm tone of voice.
When she came back to her senses, she asked, “Why not?”
“It’s clear that you won’t actually be in danger since you’ll be using one of your secondary cores. He’ll be the only one that will be in danger and if something happens, there’s no doubt that you will abandon him.” Rokuko said in a harsh tone of voice.
Haku tried to deny this, but…
“Stop trying to fool me, I know what you’ll do. That’s why he won’t go if I don’t go. After all, you wouldn’t abandon me, right?”
Haku’s face turned a bit ugly when she heard this, but there was no way that she could deny what Rokuko said. After all, Rokuko had indeed hit the nail on the head with these words.
In a worst case scenario, that was what Haku had planned to do.
Though what she didn’t say was that she would only abandon him as a last resort if something really bad happened.
It was just that Haku wasn’t able to say this since she could see the way that Rokuko was looking at her.
The way that she looked at her was as if even if she were to give this explanation, Rokuko wouldn’t accept it.
So in the end, Haku had no choice but to say with a sigh, “Alright, you can come along.”
…
“Isn’t that the infamous Flame Witch? Why did she suddenly come to a place like this?”
“Didn’t you hear that she was bringing her sister out to explore the Mist Lands?”
“Then it’s the Frost Witch that’s coming? I’ve heard that both of them were beauties.”
Lin Fan couldn’t help shaking his head with a bitter smile when he heard this.
The Flame Witch was naturally referring to Haku, this was the identity that she was taking when leading this party.
It wasn’t hard for Haku to create an identity like this for herself since she was the president of the Adventurer’s Guild. But it seemed that she had taken it a step further and had created a separate identity for Rokuko as well.
Since she was the Flame Witch, she had given Rokuko the identity of Frost Witch.
As for the rest of them, they were nothing more than simple A Rank Adventurers that were following the two of them. They were nothing more than followers of these two, one of which was a S Rank Adventurer and the other was also an A Rank Adventurer who was close to reaching S Rank.
In a way, this was Haku’s way of getting back at Lin Fan.
After all, it wasn’t as if anyone would think that Lin Fan and Rokuko were together when they were this far apart in status.
With everyone focused on Haku and Rokuko, Lin Fan had no choice but to remain in the back and watch.
There were some that even tried to flirt with Rokuko, but they were quickly taken care of by Haku and her flames.
With this new identity, it was easy for them to enter the Mist Lands.
Though with this new identity, there were some people that paid extra attention to them.
There were people that wanted to follow their group into the Mist Lands, offering their services as high ranking adventurers. They naturally wanted to get closer to Haku who was a S Rank Adventurer.
But in the end, there wasn’t a single person that was actually able to get closer to her.
Haku just drove them all away with her flames.
Even when they tried to follow them into the Mist Lands, they quickly became lost because of the mist that blocked the way.
It wasn’t as if they had the same ability as Lin Fan to clear the area of the mist.
“You can actually affect the mist in this place?” Haku and the rest of her group were surprised to see this.
The group that Haku chose naturally weren’t weak at all since this was an important mission. But even then, they weren’t able to actually affect the mist that was in this area.
Even they didn’t have enough power to actually affect this mist.
In fact, it felt like there was something special about this mist that resisted them when they tried to control the mist.
“It’s because of a special technique that I use.” Lin Fan explained simply without actually saying anything else.
Haku and her group narrowed their eyes to look at Lin Fan when he said this as if they didn’t believe what he was saying, but there wasn’t anything else that they could say.
After all, Haku could see that Rokuko was moving towards Lin Fan as if she was about to protect him.
In the end, Haku just asked, “Where’s this Mist Lord that you found?”
Lin Fan took out the hand drawn map that he made before taking out a map that showed the area of the Mist Lands.
With these two maps, he gave them a general idea of where all the different things in this Mist Lands were.
“Well, there’s no need to go for the main dish. Let’s take care of some of the side dishes.” Haku said with a smile.
