“Is this really the place?” Han Ba asked in a voice filled with doubt.

Lin Fan didn’t say anything as he looked around the area, but the look in his eyes made it seem like he was thinking the same thing as Han Ba.

After all, there really wasn’t much that was here.

The information that one guard gave them wasn’t really reliable information to begin with. The information that they received was nothing more than a rumour that was backed by the personal experience of the guard.

It was just that they didn’t really have anything else to go on.

The information that came from the Heavenly Demon Sect was lacking as well, so that was why they had no choice but to put on that show in the city.

But if they stood out too much, they would draw the attention of people that they didn’t want to attract.

“Let’s go and look around the area.” Lin Fan said all of a sudden.

Han Ba was surprised to hear this at first, but then he couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed. Though in the end, he didn’t say anything as he followed Lin Fan around.

The look on his face made it clear that he didn’t want to keep looking around this place since he didn’t think anything was here, but he still followed Lin Fan since he trusted him.

Though it didn’t take long for them to find something.

However, it wasn’t what they had been expecting to find.

The way that this group spoke and their composition made it seem like they were a young master’s group that were just out for fun. However, both Lin Fan and Han Ba were able to see that this wasn’t the case.

With both of them certain that this group wasn’t normal, it wasn’t hard for them to figure out what this group really was. At the same time, it wasn’t hard for them to come to a decision to change their plans as soon as they realized this.

After following this group for a while, they found that this group suddenly came to a stop.

The one that had been leading them looked around as if they were being wary about something.

The one that was called junior brother had an awkward look on his face as he turned to look around again, but it didn’t seem like he was able to find anything.

His senior brother didn’t seem mad that he wasn’t able to find anything.

The junior brother revealed another awkward look when he heard this, but he didn’t go back on what he said as he continued looking around the area.

So in the end, the senior brother changed his tone as he said, “Tell me again what you heard.”

The junior brother gave a nod before he started to speak.

Lin Fan and Han Ba focused when this junior brother spoke, but the two of them soon had disappointed looks on their faces. After all, what the junior brother said wasn’t much better than the information that they obtained.

It was actually the same information.

The information that Lin Fan and Han Ba had gotten from the guard was that there was this strange creature that appeared in this place. It seemed like it was some kind of creature that was made purely of energy that appeared in this place.

What they were all looking for was a thing that was filled with pure elemental energy, so a creature like that would be a sign of something like that being here. That was why they had all come here in hopes of finding something.

It was just that in the end, they were disappointed since there was nothing like that here.

“Do you know how rare it would be to find something like that? Even if they were lucky enough to see it once, do you really think that it would happen again? That kind of phenomenon only happens when the pure elemental energy leaks out.” The senior brother didn’t seem to hold back at all when it came to scolding his junior brother.

This girl was one of the girls that had been cozying up with the senior brother before this, but now there was a completely different feel to her. She had gone from one of the lackeys to the leader of this group.

The two of them looked like they wanted to say something before the senior brother said, “Senior sister, we…”

The girl that had been called senior sister just raised her hand before saying, “There’s no telling who could be lurking around here.”

Han Ba couldn’t help slightly knitting his brows when he heard this, but Lin Fan grabbed him by the shoulder to calm him down and prevent him from going out.

It didn’t seem like the two groups had a good relationship with each other, but at least it didn’t seem like they were about to start fighting.

These swordsmen had to be from the Mount Hua Sword Sect.

Even though they were undercover, they didn’t hide the fact that they were swordsmen at all.

If Lin Fan had to guess, the group that they had been following before this was most likely from the Kunlun Sect since he could see traces of spells around them.

As expected, there really were members of the righteous sects that were here.
