Lin Fan had been silently observing the yellow energy that was here, but he really wasn’t making any progress at all.

He was doing his best to try and find the source of this yellow energy, only it really was hard when he didn’t know what kind of energy this yellow energy was in the first place.

“Why don’t I just absorb it?” Lin Fan thought to himself.

It wasn’t that he was giving up, it was just that he thought that this would be the simplest way to solve this problem.

He didn’t know what it was, but he would be able to figure it out after absorbing it since the status screen would be able to tell him what it was. With the status screen, he would be able to figure out a way to deal with whatever this was.

So that was why Lin Fan reached out and touched the yellow energy that was in the air around him.

The moment that he touched it, it was as if there was some kind of connection that was formed between him and that yellow energy. The moment that his finger made contact with it, it was absorbed right into him.

Lin Fan wasn’t surprised since this was just how it was with him and pure elemental energy.

The uniqueness of his physique allowed him to absorb this kind of energy with just a single thought.

The fact that this happened with the yellow energy in front of him proved that this was a form of pure elemental energy. Now that he had absorbed it, he should be able to figure out what kind of pure elemental energy it was.

However, it wasn’t as if just a single wisp was enough for this.

Just this single wisp of yellow energy was nothing more than a clay ox entering the sea, it really didn’t feel like he had absorbed anything. This was also shown in the system’s window as there was nothing that changed.

For him to properly absorb it, he would have to catch even more of this yellow energy.

It was a good thing that he was completely surrounded in wisps of this yellow energy, only it wasn’t as easy to collect them since they were just floating all around him. If Lin Fan were to take the time to gather all of these wisps of yellow energy, it really would take him a while to do so.

So instead of moving to the next wisp of yellow energy, Lin Fan started thinking about what he could do to collect these wisps of yellow energy faster.

After thinking about it for a bit, he suddenly raised his hand and pointed at all of the wisps of yellow energy in front of him.

With a single thought, there was this force that drew all of the wisps of yellow energy in.

This wasn’t the power of gravity that he was using, but a completely different power.

After all, the wisps of yellow energy were nothing more than wisps of energy. Even if he were to use the power of gravity, it wasn’t as if there was any mass that would be there for him to pull in.

That was why he used the power of the void that was more suited for this.

Though right before they reached him, Lin Fan would make sure to turn off the power of the void while maintaining the momentum that the wisps of yellow energy came at him. He didn’t know what would happen if the void power were to absorb the wisps of yellow energy and it wasn’t the time to test this right now.

So right before they touched the void power, he turned it off and let the wisps of yellow energy make contact with his body.

If it wasn’t for the fact that he had made a breakthrough with this power, then he wouldn’t have been able to do something like this. It wasn’t as if he was able to control the void power this easily before this.

But now that Lin Fan had broken through, he was able to turn this power on and off with just a single thought.

The level of control that he had over this power was like night and day compared to the control that he had previously.

Though in the first place, this was the level of control that he should have had. After all, it wasn’t as if one was controlled by their power, they should be the ones that controlled their power.

After absorbing quite a few wisps of this yellow energy, Lin Fan felt as if there was something that changed inside of him and he stopped using the void power.

It wasn’t that he was afraid of this change, it was just that it wouldn’t be good for him if he were to let this change happen. What was happening inside of him was that his cultivation was growing at a pace that seemed like he would break through again.

At the same time, he could sense that there was something that was forming in his dantian.

It wasn’t the same as the other things that were there, this thing wasn’t fully formed like the rest of the items made from pure elemental energy. This thing seemed like it was a mass of pure elemental energy that could go out at any moment.

He could draw on its power, but there was a limited amount of that since he wasn’t able to generate enough yet.

However, this was enough for what he was planning to do.

When Lin Fan opened up the status screen, he found the answer that he was looking for.

It was just that this certainly wasn’t the answer that he had been expecting to see.

This was an answer that completely caught him off guard since he knew what this answer meant.

“This really is a rare form of elemental energy, isn’t it?”

It didn’t mean that rare was bad though, it all depended on how he used this.

“What is it? You can’t just show this kind of expression and not say anything.” Han Ba had been silently waiting on the side the entire time, but it was hard for him to keep waiting when he saw Lin Fan’s expression.

“Well, I have an idea of what this thing is and what the thing we’re looking for is. It’s just that I’m thinking about what we should do next.” Lin Fan said in a slow and deliberate voice.

“Whatever scheme you want to do, just go ahead and do it. I already said that I would follow you this time, so you don’t have to worry.” Han Ba said with a sigh.

Lin Fan couldn’t help shaking his head with a faint smile before saying, “You shouldn’t call it a scheme. At least call it a strategy.”

Han Ba silently looked at him with a smile on his face.

Though he didn’t say anything, the meaning behind the look on his face was already very clear.

But then again, it didn’t matter that the two of them acted this way since they were close enough to act like this with each other.

Lin Fan turned around and started heading deeper into the cave with a wave of his hand. Han Ba just followed Lin Fan without a single word when he saw this gesture from him.

The two of them continued for a bit until they reached the end of this cave.

Though it was the end of this cave, there wasn’t much that was actually here.

It was a dead end that was in front of them and this place seemed completely empty.

It didn’t even seem like there were traces of the yellow energy that were in this place.

The last traces of the yellow energy were the wisps that they had passed before reaching this dead end. The way that the yellow energy was spread, it really didn’t seem like there was anything here that was related to it.

Only Lin Fan knew that this wasn’t the case.

Raising his hand, there was the same yellow energy as before that appeared around it.

The moment that this yellow energy appeared around it, it was as if there was resonance that came from around him as more of this yellow energy suddenly appeared.

This yellow energy hadn’t existed a moment ago, but it suddenly appeared the moment that Lin Fan released his yellow energy.

Once that yellow energy appeared, it didn’t take long before more and more of it appeared. It was as if this place was about to be completely flooded in this yellow energy with how fast it was appearing.

But that wasn’t the only thing that appeared.

Once enough of the yellow energy had appeared, it was as if there was some kind of veil that was being opened up that revealed something that had been hidden in this space.

This thing seemed to have relied on a curtain of this yellow energy to completely hide itself, but that curtain was opened up by Lin Fan.

As for what this thing was, it was the thing that they had come looking for in the first place.

Lin Fan didn’t take this thing right away as he looked at it for a bit before turning to Han Ba to say, “Do you trust me?”

Han Ba didn’t hesitate to nod in agreement before saying, “Just do what you need to do, don’t worry about me.”

Lin Fan gave a grateful nod before revealing a smile that a villain would have.
