“A S Rank Adventurer!” The guards of the city were shocked when they received the ID of this person.
The one that had handed over the ID looked at the guard with one brow raised as if he didn’t know what was happening, but the guard didn’t hand the ID back right away.
Instead, he went off as if he was going to report to his superior.
When he came back, there was someone that was clearly the captain of the guards that came with him.
This captain looked at the S Rank Adventurer Card before saying, “Can you please come with me to the Adventurer’s Guild?”
The S Rank Adventurer looked confused when he heard this before asking, “Is there a problem? I’ve never actually been treated like this before.”
An awkward look appeared on the face of the captain when he heard this, but he slowly said, “This isn’t something that can be discussed easily in front of others. Can you please just follow me to the Adventurer’s Guild?”
The S Rank Adventurer narrowed his eyes upon hearing this since it sounded too shady.
Of course, the captain realized this as well which was why he quickly said, “It’s not anything bad. It’s just that we want to have a conversation with you.” After saying this, he looked around with a wary look.
Since they had stopped letting people in to check this S Rank Adventurer, it was only natural that they attracted a lot of attention from the others that were also trying to enter the city.
In the end, the S Rank Adventurer said with a sigh, “Alright, I’ll come with you.”
The captain of the guards gave a grateful look before quickly leading the way.
With the captain of the guards leading the way, they wasted no time at all before reaching the Adventurer’s Guild.
When they arrived, there was even someone that was waiting outside for them.

I apologize for the way that we called for you, but it really is an emergency or else we wouldn’t have called you in this manner.” As he said this, he even lowered his head to show his sincerity.
At this, the crowd that had been watching revealed surprised looks since they didn’t think that this guild master would act this way. They started to look at the S Rank Adventurer as if they were wondering just who he was.
In the end, the S Rank Adventurer said with a sigh, “Let’s just go in and talk.”
The guild master quickly nodded in response before leading the way in.
In no time at all, they arrived at the guild master’s office where it was only the captain of the guards and the guild master that was left. Everyone else that was unrelated to this matter had been kept out of the room.
They didn’t show the S Rank Adventurer any courtesy by offering him any drinks, but this was more than enough to show how urgent this matter was.
“So, what is it that you want to discuss?” The S Rank Adventurer said in a serious tone.
Both the guild master and the captain of the guards couldn’t help giving a gulp when they felt this shift in the S Rank Adventurer.
However, there were looks of respect that appeared in their eyes when it did happen.
“This is a S Rank Adventurer.” That was what the two of them thought when they saw this shift.
The guild master took a heavy tone as he said, “We have an emergency mission that we hope that you will take care of for us.”
The S Rank Adventurer didn’t say anything as he waited for them to elaborate.
With that, the guild master took out a few pieces of paper that he passed over to the S Rank Adventurer.
Once the S Rank Adventurer was done reading this, he looked back up at the guild master and the captain of the guards with a frown before asking, “Why isn’t this country taking care of this?”
There were bitter looks that appeared on both their faces when they heard this before the guild master said, “Well, it’s simply because those nobles don’t care. They only care about themselves and protect their own, they don’t care if commoners get injured, they only care if another noble or their property is injured. The request that they put forward is nothing more than a cover so they can say that they did something.”
After a pause, the guild master said with a sigh, “I know that the reward amount isn’t much, but it’s all that we were able to scrounge together. I hope that you will…

The guild master stopped mid sentence when he was cut off and a look of disbelief appeared on both the faces of the guild master and the captain of the guards.
However, there were looks of gratitude that soon replaced those looks of disbelief.
“Thank you.” That was all that the guild master could say in the end and the only thing that he felt he needed to say.
The S Rank Adventurer picked up the pieces of paper on the table and then started heading out.
Seeing this, the guild master and the captain of the guards quickly followed behind him.
As they followed behind him, the guild master said, “I’ve already prepared a room at the best inn in the city. Please rest there first before you head out.”
“No need, I’m going right away.” The S Rank Adventurer said in a serious voice.
Once again, the guild master and the captain of the guards were caught off guard. Though this time, it seemed that they were hesitant when they heard this.
“I’ll head out right away.” The S Rank Adventurer said once again in a firm tone.
Hearing this, the hesitant looks on the faces of the guild master and the captain of the guards disappeared. In fact, there was a part of them that felt ashamed for feeling the way that they had previously.
“We wish you luck.” The two of them said in solemn voices.
The S Rank Adventurer just gave a simple nod in response before heading out.

After leaving the city, the S Rank Adventurer didn’t travel far before stopping at the foot of a mountain.
Once he was here, he looked up at the sky as if he was looking for something specific. However, it didn’t seem like there was anything there no matter how he looked up at the sky.
In fact, it was a bit too quiet…
After all, there should have been birds or other flying creatures that would have passed by overhead. However, there didn’t seem to be anything like that in the air right now.
It was as if there was something that had chased away everything that should have been here.
There weren’t even any sounds that were coming from the ground.

Only the S Rank Adventurer didn’t seem afraid.
He looked around a bit before suddenly giving a whistle.
When he did, there was a gust of wind that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
This gust of wind continued for a while until there was a large figure that appeared in the air. With how large this figure was, it even blotted out the sun that was above the S Rank Adventurer, throwing them into darkness.
However, it didn’t seem like the S Rank Adventurer panicked when he saw this figure.
It didn’t take long for this figure to come down to where the S Rank Adventurer was.
As for what this figure was, it was a S Rank Monster.
It was a Garuda that was known as the king of the sky.
Though it didn’t attack the S Rank Adventurer when it came out of the sky.
It just flapped its wings and floated there above them as if they were waiting for something.
In the end, it was the S Rank Adventurer that broke the silence by saying, “You took a while to get here.”
“I should be saying that to you.” There was a voice that came from the back of the Garuda.
After this voice rang out, there was also a head that poked out from the large figure of the Garuda and looked at the S Rank Adventurer on the ground.
Looking at the S Rank Adventurer, that head said, “You should have come much sooner, what took you so long in the city?”
“Well, I had to make it believable or else they wouldn’t have let me come all on my own like this.” The S Rank Adventurer said with a shrug.
The person on the Garuda narrowed their eyes to look at the S Rank Adventurer before saying, “Hurry up. Stop wasting time or else you won’t be able to do what you came here to do. Don’t waste the time that Miss Agnus prepared for you.”
Lin Fan revealed a faint smile when he heard this before saying, “Alright, I got it. I was the one that requested this, so I know how little time I have and how important this was.”
The person on the Garuda didn’t say anything else before the Garuda started flying up once more.
