“This is a pure elemental energy item, isn’t it?” Lin Fan slowly said to himself as he looked in the direction that this sensation was coming from.

The sensation that he felt was faint, as if it had been weakened by something. However, the energy that he felt made him certain that it was a pure elemental energy item.

It was just that there was something strange about this sensation.

“This sensation, it’s different from the one I know.” Lin Fan muttered to himself as he focused on this sensation while trying to get as much information as he could.

From this sensation, he could already tell what kind of pure elemental energy this was.

It was water attributed pure elemental energy, but it was different from the Clear Water that he possessed.

After thinking about it, Lin Fan stopped hesitating and headed towards the cave that this sensation was coming from.

He didn’t know what to expect, but he knew that this wasn’t something that he could leave behind.

Especially with how important this thing was for him.

Though there was a part of Lin Fan that was skeptical since he didn’t think that this water attributed pure elemental energy would be able to do anything for him.

After all, he already had the Clear Water Bead that he had absorbed into his dantian. Perhaps absorbing whatever this thing was might help the Clear Water Bead become stronger by absorbing its power.

In short, Lin Fan didn’t have much expectations for this thing to improve his own power.

However, that wasn’t the important thing.

Since the Kunlun Sect had found this thing and had even placed an array to protect it, it seemed like this thing was important to them as well. Since Lin Fan had found it, it wasn’t as if he would leave this thing to them.

As he had expected, it was pure water elemental energy. Only when he absorbed it, it didn’t feel like there was a reaction that came from the Clear Water Bead.

In fact, it didn’t seem like there was any reaction from inside of him towards this pure water elemental energy.

After the void powers absorbed it, it was as if that energy just completely disappeared without a trace.

It wasn’t turned into spiritual energy or anything for Lin Fan, it just vanished as if it had been completely absorbed by the black hole in his dantian. That black hole didn’t regurgitate it out in another form like it normally did.

Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling confused when this happened since it was something that had never happened before, but it wasn’t as if he had a solution to this since he didn’t know much about the void powers to begin with.

“Is this the difference between mana and spiritual energy?”

That was the only explanation that Lin Fan could give in the end before dropping this matter.

Lin Fan didn’t release the void powers around him as he allowed it to keep absorbing that pure water elemental energy. Even if it didn’t do anything, he felt that it wouldn’t really hurt him to absorb it.

The cave itself wasn’t that deep, so it didn’t take long for him to reach the end of the cave.

Once he was there, he found that there was a pool that was in the center of this space. From that pool, he could feel the sensation that he felt from the outside.

Only it seemed like this sensation was still weak.

It seemed like whatever the Kunlun Sect had done in this place had drained the power from the item that was at the bottom of the pool.

When Lin Fan looked closely, he could even see that there was a line that was near the edge of the pool. This was the line that showed where the pool had previously been before it had been drained of its power.

This showed just how much of the power from the pool was drained.

However, that didn’t really matter.

After looking at this for a bit, Lin Fan looked at the center of the pool where there was something that was sunk at the bottom of the pool. Even though it didn’t seem that heavy, this thing just stayed there at the very bottom.

Lin Fan wasn’t surprised to see this since he knew what this thing was.

It was the pure water elemental energy item that had actually created this pool.

This was the item that he had been looking for.

When he looked closely at this thing, there was a screen that popped up.

Mist Orb.

That was the name of this item and it seemed like the power that it had was to create pure water elemental energy mist. Which was why there was that sensation that filled this cave as Lin Fan walked through it.

So it seemed like this was a pure water elemental energy item that had developed in a different way compared to the Clear Water Bead.

Though Lin Fan had no idea just how powerful the mist created by this Mist Orb was, he was certain that it wouldn’t be that weak if it was made from pure water elemental energy.

At the same time, he was a bit curious about what would happen if the Mist Orb was absorbed by him.

He still thought that it should be absorbed by the Clear Water Bead since that was just how things were. The Clear Water Bead was something that had been nurtured by him for a while now, so it should be stronger than this Mist Orb.

In this world, the strong devoured the weak.

After observing the Mist Orb for a bit, Lin Fan reached his hand out.

When he did, the water that was in the pond separated and revealed the Mist Orb.

This water wasn’t normal water since it was something that the Mist Orb was submerged in. This water was special pure water elemental energy that had taken physical form because of how condensed it was.

But in front of Lin Fan, that didn’t matter since he was able to control pure water elemental energy.

For him, it only took a single wave of his hand to part this water.

Then with another wave of his hand, the Mist Orb floated up and came in front of him.

Lin Fan looked at this Mist Orb for a few seconds before raising his hand to grab it.

The moment that he grabbed it, it was as if the Mist Orb dissolved and it disappeared without a trace. But in reality, it had been absorbed by Lin Fan once he grabbed it in his hand.

However, there wasn’t the sensation that Lin Fan had been expecting.

The moment that he absorbed the Mist Orb, he found that there was no interaction between the Mist Orb and the Clear Water Orb. In fact, it didn’t even go to the same place as the Clear Water Orb.

The pure elemental energy items that Lin Fan normally absorbed would go to his dantian where it would float around the black hole that was there.

However, this Mist Orb seemed to have been kept out of his dantian.

It seemed to reside in the space outside of his dantian, but it wasn’t as if Lin Fan didn’t have access to it at all. As long as he willed it, he would be able to draw on the power of the Mist Orb at any moment.

The only difference between the Mist Orb and the other items was that this Mist Orb didn’t feel like it was a part of him.

In fact, it felt like this Mist Orb was something that was just using his body as a vessel.

The other pure elemental energy items incorporated themselves into his physique and felt like they were a part of his body. But this Mist Orb felt like it was just an outsider that was living in his body for now.

“Is it because it’s from a different continent where there’s a different system of power? Does that mean that it can’t incorporate itself into my physique?”

That was the only solution that Lin Fan could think of.

At the same time, it was also a good reason why the Kunlun Sect didn’t take this Mist Orb away and just took the water instead. It seemed like they weren’t able to use the power of the Mist Orb either and had to settle for the pure water elemental energy.
