Chapter 1363: Misleading them into revealing everything

Sun Chao didn’t bother arguing with the voice and instead looked at the elders.

Though when he looked at these elders around him, the look in his eyes had changed.

The way that he looked at them clearly showed the hostility that he had towards them. It seemed that whatever realization he had made him wary of these elders from the same sect.

When the elders saw this, they were confused but they also knew why he was looking at them like this.

After all, they had heard him ask the voice earlier if they were from the Kunlun Sect.

Did that mean that the owner of the voice was a traitor from their sect?

All of the elders did what they could to try and figure out why Sun Chao would think this, but they couldn’t think of the reason.

“This place that we’re trapped in, it’s the Five Star Universe Array.”

Once Sun Chao said this, all of the elders immediately understood why Sun Chao was acting this way. This was a name that they couldn’t be more familiar with since this was an array that they had been using the entire time.

This was the array that they had been using in the places that they had been attacking. This was the array that they used to make sure that no one would be able to approach where those pure elemental energy items were.

But now that it was being used on them…

This Five Star Universe Array was used to create a tiny space where the one that controlled the array could show whatever they wanted to show to the ones that were trapped inside.

The problem was that this was an array that was exclusive to the Kunlun Sect.

It was something that was strictly passed down in the Kunlun Sect and was not something that would be shared with others. It certainly wasn’t something that an outsider would be able to use.

Which meant that the one that trapped them was most likely someone from the Kunlun Sect.

At the same time, it was likely that someone here had betrayed the Kunlun Sect and revealed where they were to be captured.

So that was why all of them were wary of each other.

Eventually, it seemed like the elders were finished glaring at each other like this.

It wasn’t that they suddenly trusted each other, it was just that they knew that there was nothing to gain from continuing this deadlock. After all, it wasn’t as if being wary of each other like this was going to get them out of this situation.

“What is it that you want?” Sun Chao suddenly asked out loud.

The other elders all looked like they were waiting for the answer to this question.

“Why do you think that I want something? What if I’m just messing with you?”

As soon as that voice fell, Sun Chao and the other elders started to laugh.

They didn’t hesitate at all to laugh at this voice since they had figured something out from what they had said.

It was clear that the voice had wanted something from them, but there was no reason for the owner of the voice to keep them all alive. After all, they only needed one or a few people to get the information or the things that they wanted.

The fact that they kept them all alive meant that there was something specific that they wanted.

Or there was something else that it meant that they had just confirmed.

“You’re using our array against us, aren’t you?” Sun Chao said in a cold voice.

When the voice didn’t respond, the elders all revealed faint smiles as they knew that this was confirmation of this.

“Then you really aren’t from our Kunlun Sect, are you?” Sun Chao said in an almost taunting voice.

Once again, there was no answer that followed.

The elders seemed a bit less wary after hearing this, but that didn’t mean that they completely let their guards down towards each other. They were still looking at each other with traces of wariness.

Even if it meant that it wasn’t certain that there was a traitor, it was still a fact that there was someone that had leaked their position. Whether that was intentional or not was still something that they didn’t know.

So naturally they couldn’t let their guards down yet.

But at the very least, this meant that they shouldn’t be in as much danger as they thought they were.

After all, the Five Star Universe Array was only an illusion array and not a killing array. It didn’t have enough power to actually kill them and only had the power to trap them in an illusion like this.

So they shouldn’t be in any real danger from the array or the one that used the array. After all, if the one that used the array to trap them had the ability to threaten them, then they wouldn’t have done all of this.

So for now, they were safe.

But that didn’t mean that they would be safe forever as they would weaken over time.

Now it was time to find the weakness of the one that was keeping them here and try to find a way to escape.

“Give me the item that you used to absorb the pure elemental energy.”

When the voice spoke again, there were smiles that appeared on the faces of the elders once more.

The moment that they heard this, they knew that they were putting pressure on whoever it was that was keeping them inside of this Five Star Universe Array. They knew that they were slowly gaining the upper hand in this conversation.

That was why they pushed it even further by saying…

“Why would I do something like that?” Sun Chao said in an almost aggressive voice as if he was daring the owner of the voice to do something to him.

After he said this, there was no response from that voice.

“Let us out now and we’ll show you mercy. Otherwise, don’t blame us for what happens next.” Seeing that his aggressive move worked, Sun Chao continued laying on the aggression as if he was waiting for something to happen.

After all, it wasn’t as if they would be able to find a way out if they didn’t do something.

So the only thing that they could do was try to provoke the other side and let them out.

When the voice didn’t respond, Sun Chao once again spoke.

Only this time, there was a trace of cunning that was in his voice.

“Do you think that you’ll be able to do anything like this? I can guess that you aren’t from our Kunlun Sect at all. It’s quite surprising that you were able to use the Five Star Universe Array of our Kunlun Sect, but that’s just it. You can only use it, you don’t have mastery over it or else you wouldn’t have left us alone like this.”

Sun Chao walked over to one of the doors and tapped on the bar before saying, “It’s clear that with all of these gaps, you don’t have full control over this array at all. It’s only a matter of time before we’re able to make our way out of this place.”

Then narrowing his eyes to reveal a cold gaze, he said, “As long as you let us out, we’ll show you mercy. After all, it’s clear that you’re making something similar to our Elemental Prison Array that you want this pure elemental energy. The real enemy here are the enemies of the Heavenly Demon Sect, so we can still work together.”

“Elemental Prison Array? What is that?”

Sun Chao and the elders looked surprised and confused when they heard this.

After all, they had expected the other side to already know this instead of asking this question.

However, it didn’t take long for them to break out in laughter as they said, “So you don’t even know this. It seems like we’ve completely underestimated you.”

Sun Chao took the lead once more to say, “This is a very special array that utilizes the power of the pure elemental energy to trap those that wander in. It’s something that even those demons won’t be able to resist.”

“So that’s your plan.”

As soon as this voice fell, Sun Chao and the elders felt that there was something wrong.

As if to prove this, there was smoke that appeared all around them.

They did their best to resist, but they found that they couldn’t stop themselves from losing consciousness.

“What…who are you?” Sun Chao asked as his vision was fading, but the other side didn’t respond.

That was because Lin Fan had already lost interest in them.

He was right that they were in the array, but this was a controlled array that they were in. They were all inside of Haku’s dungeon, so it was very easy for them to take full control of their surroundings.

Lin Fan used their pride and arrogance against them by making them think that they were in control.

Once they thought they were in control, they spilled information that they shouldn’t have said.

As they were losing consciousness, the last thing that they heard was…

“We didn’t even know what to ask you, but now it seems like we have something to talk about. Let’s welcome you to the true prison and have a proper talk about this Elemental Prison Array. We’ll do our best to make your stay comfortable.”
