With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods - Chapter 1364: Hard to look at

Chapter 1364: Hard to look at
Once Lin Fan was done with his play, he left the rest of this to Agnus.
She was more qualified than him to take care of this matter, especially since he wasn’t someone that was skilled in torture in the first place.
Even if he had spent some time in this world now, it wasn’t as if the first thing that he would do is torture.
So in the end, it was better to leave it to someone that knew what they were doing.
Agnus had plenty of things prepared to use against the elders of the Kunlun Sect, but she didn’t even get to use most of them in the end. That was because as soon as she used the first thing, the elders already spilled their guts.
They really couldn’t even withstand the first form of torture and spilled everything that they knew.
But Lin Fan knew that it wasn’t that simple.
After all, he was able to see the condition that the elders of the Kunlun Sect were left in after that first torture. It didn’t even finish, but it was already hard for him to look at them since they were in terrible condition.
They were basically mangled because of the torture that Agnus used on them.
Lin Fan couldn’t help even wondering just what Agnus had done to them for them to end up in this condition.
He had seen the thing that she used on them, but he didn’t actually know what that thing did.
The only thing that he knew was that it was quite the terrifying thing with the condition that they had been left in.
“Come. Her majesty wants to talk to you.”
Agnus didn’t waste any time at all after she had finished torturing the Kunlun Sect elders for information.
Their mangled bodies were just left inside the dungeon and there was a part of Lin Fan that wondered if they would even be able to survive. But that was all that he thought, he didn’t actually care how they ended up.
They were his enemies after all and it wasn’t as if they would have spared a second thought for him if their situations were reversed.
With Agnus using a special magic array, they arrived in the capital of the Laver Empire in no time.
This was something that was on a completely different level from everything else that they had shown Lin Fan previously, but he knew the reason why they suddenly showed something like this to him.
It was all because of how serious the situation was.
If it wasn’t for that, then they wouldn’t have used this kind of thing.
After all, this kind of special magic array would without a doubt have a special price attached to it. Even for the powerful Laver Empire, this wasn’t a price that could be paid that easily.
Once they were in the capital, Lin Fan was brought to meet Haku.
But it wasn’t just Haku alone that he was meeting.
This time, it was a meeting of the ministers of the Laver Empire.
Though the ones that came were all those that were related to Haku’s dungeon and knew Lin Fan and Rokuko’s true identities. They were also the core of the Laver Empire since they had been with the Laver Empire since the beginning.
When Lin Fan entered the throne room that this meeting was being held in, he immediately felt the pressure that fell onto him.
This wasn’t pressure that came from a single person, this was pressure that came from everyone that was inside of this room.
It seemed that none of them held back at all as they glared at him.
There was no doubt that what had happened had been spread to everyone that was in this room and judging from how they looked at him, they didn’t seem to trust him.
In fact, the one that was putting the most pressure on him was Haku.
It wasn’t the same as before, this was pressure that was placed on him as the empress of this Laver Empire. This was because she had a duty to the people that were under her and even Rokuko couldn’t change that.
Though Rokuko didn’t actually do anything.
Rokuko was in this throne room as well, but she was just silently standing on the side watching all of this.
She knew the reason that Haku was doing this and didn’t stop her this time. She just watched over everything in hopes that everything would work out.
After taking a moment to adjust, Lin Fan walked into the center of the throne room where he was surrounded by everyone. Once he was there, he looked up at Haku before turning away.
The way that she looked at him did make it a bit hard for him to look at her.
There was a silence that lingered in the room as if everyone was waiting for someone to break it. But during this time, the person that everyone was waiting to break this silence was sorting out his thoughts.
After a while, Lin Fan finally broke the silence by saying, “I’ll tell you what I know, but don’t judge too quickly.”
Haku seemed a bit surprised since she didn’t expect him to comply with her this easily, but then she narrowed her eyes as if she was waiting to see what he would say.
When she saw that he didn’t say anything yet, she gave a nod to confirm that she agreed to his terms.
It was then that Lin Fan started telling Haku and the rest of the ministers of the Laver Empire about the Five Great Sects.
It wasn’t as if Lin Fan would tell them everything, but he did tell them enough that they would be able to figure out what the relationship between them was. At the same time, Lin Fan made sure to tell them about what he had found when he explored those places.
Once it was all over, there was another silence that lingered in the room.
This time, it seemed like they were the ones that were sorting out their thoughts.
This time, it seemed like they were the ones that would be making the decision.
After a long silence, Haku said, “You’re saying that you have a connection with this Heavenly Demon Sect?”
Lin Fan didn’t know why she was asking this, but he still gave a nod in the end while carefully observing Haku to see what she would decide next.
It was just that Haku seemed to lose interest in him as she turned to look at Agnus, “So, the ones that we captured are from the Kunlun Sect and the ones that have been attacking the others are from those righteous sects. What do we have about these righteous sects?”
Agnus shook her head before saying, “To be honest, not much. In the first place, the information that we have about the other continents was scarce to begin with. It could be said that this is breakthrough information.”
After saying this, she looked at Lin Fan with a suggestive look.
All of the ministers also looked at him with similar looks after Agnus said this.
That was Rokuko’s cue to come out and stand in front of Lin Fan as if she was defending him.
When Haku saw this, she said with a sigh, “It’s not as if he’ll be able to do much alone, so stop thinking about it. For now, there’s no reason for us to get involved with them since we don’t want to fight them anyway.”
After a moment of staring at Lin Fan like this, the others slowly turned back to look at Haku while giving small nods.
Though from the look in their eyes, it was clear that there were some other thoughts that they had. It was just that they couldn’t say it in front of Haku when she was acting this way.
After giving another sigh, Haku said, “Can you connect us with them?”
Lin Fan firmly shook his head in response to this before saying, “They don’t know about this and it would be better if I kept them in the dark.”
Haku narrowed her eyes to look at Lin Fan, but he didn’t crumble under this pressure.
While this was happening, a few of the ministers tensed up as if they were planning to make a move.
Agnus interrupted this by saying, “Are we starting a war?”
Haku calmed down when she heard this, but the ministers seemed a bit tense still as they looked at Lin Fan. It was only when Haku spoke again that they calmed down.
“Alright, forget about it. It’s best if we kept the status quo for now. So the only ones that we’ll have to deal with are the righteous sects.”
Then changing the tone of her voice, she asked Lin Fan, “How do you propose that we take care of them?”
Lin Fan didn’t answer right away and eventually he shook his head to show that he wasn’t certain, “To be honest, I don’t have enough information from the other side to give you a proper answer. I want to take some time to gather more information before I answer.”
Haku narrowed her eyes once more, but she could see the firm look in Lin Fan’s eyes.
So in the end, she said, “Alright, I’ll give you some time. But remember that we can’t wait forever since they’re still running wild in our territory.”
After that, she made sure to look at all the ministers that were in the room.
Seeing the way that she looked at them, they all got the message and looked away.
After all, Haku was a bit hard to look at like this.
