Lin Fan couldn’t help letting out a sigh of relief when he saw them leaving.

Though the Heavenly Demon, the Fire Fist King, and the Poison King had rushed here, it wasn’t as if they could remain in this place for long. They were part of the higher ups of the Heavenly Demon Sect, so they had things that they had to do.

It wasn’t as if they could remain missing for long.

They had to go back to take care of matters related to this alliance proposal.

After all, he was the one that had led them in taking care of the four righteous sects.

The ministers had already heard about what happened, so they were now looking at him…as if he was some kind of commodity.

It was clear that they weren’t actually appreciating him, but rather they were thinking about how they could use him in the future. Or it was better to say that they were thinking about how they could use the Mist Lord.

That was the name that had been given to the Heavenly Demon Sect and there was no doubt that this name would spread on the cultivation continent. That was why they were planning on using that name to do things in the future.

Lin Fan knew this and didn’t know how he felt about this, but there wasn’t anything that he could actually do about this. He knew that even if he objected, they would still do what they wanted to do.

Mist Lord was a name that was associated with the Laver Empire after all, so it would be wrong if they couldn’t use it as they saw fit.

Rokuko was watching all of this with eyes that were filled with pride because her man was the one that was being praised. And it seemed that the only reason that they were holding this ceremony was because of that.

Haku seemed to want to see Rokuko enjoying herself like this, which was why she held this ceremony.

Though from beginning to end, she had never once looked at Lin Fan who was actually the main star of this ceremony.

Lin Fan didn’t care about this, the only thing that he cared about was the reward that would be presented to him.

It was just that when it came out, he couldn’t help revealing a strange and confused look.

That was because the thing that had been brought out didn’t really feel like a reward to him. The thing that had been brought out looked like some kind of punishment or some kind of teasing.

It was a large rock that was carried out and placed in front of him.

There was a part of Lin Fan that wondered if this was some kind of joke, but the prime minister continued reading as if everything was normal when the large rock was brought out.

Everyone seemed to find this completely normal as they listened to the prime minister reading his speech.

That was until Lin Fan started looking at the rock carefully.

He hadn’t sensed it previously, but he was able to sense it after he focused on the rock.

There was this familiar sensation that came from it.

“Spiritual energy, there’s spiritual energy coming from this thing.” Lin Fan thought to himself in a surprised tone before diving deeper, “It’s very faint, but I can feel it coming from it. At the same time, it feels like it’s from a familiar source…”

Though it did feel familiar to him, he just wasn’t able to pinpoint exactly what it was about this thing that was familiar to him.

At the same time, it felt like there were many things that were familiar to this large rock which he didn’t understand.

It was one thing to feel a familiar sensation from this rock, but it was different to feel that it was familiar to multiple things. It felt like there were things that were on the tip of his tongue, but he just couldn’t bring himself to connect the dots.

So in the end, Lin Fan decided to stop thinking about it for now.

There was still plenty of time for him to investigate this thing since it was his now, so he might as well leave this matter for later.

When he stopped checking out this large rock, he found that there was a bit of an awkward silence.

It wasn’t because the prime minister had finished his speech, it was that he had paused in the middle of his speech to look at him.

It wasn’t the prime minister alone, it was all of the ministers who were looking at him as if they were waiting for some kind of reaction from him.
