As Lin Fan predicted, there was nothing that came at him after he released that barrier.

There was a limit to the range of the attacks, which meant that it wouldn’t be able to hit him from here.

Though that didn’t mean that Lin Fan let down his guard for even a second.

He was ready to release the void power barrier the moment that another attack came at him.

It was just that none of this gave him the answer that he was looking for.

“What is the source of those attacks?” Lin Fan muttered to himself as he stared at the space in front of him.

Without anything happening, it was as if whatever had attacked him had never existed.

An attack that was dangerous and invisible, it was no wonder there was no information about it at all. The ones that had escaped wouldn’t know what happened and the ones that didn’t escape didn’t have a chance to say anything.

It really was the perfect mystery.

No matter how he looked at it, it didn’t seem like he was going to find anything like this.

So in the end, Lin Fan came to a decision that he partially regretted.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Fan stepped forward back into the place that he had escaped from. But this time, he didn’t release the same void power barrier that he had protected himself with previously.

He didn’t know where to go, but right now he was just hoping for something to happen.

It seemed like whatever was attacking him had already learned its lesson and knew not to attack him anymore. With the way that it was acting, it was even as if it was afraid of him now.

Lin Fan naturally felt disappointed when this happened, but it wasn’t as if he couldn’t understand why this was happening.

“Will it take the bait?” Lin Fan wondered to himself before he was suddenly hit with an attack.

It seemed that the other side really couldn’t wait at all as they released this attack all of a sudden. Not only that, there were several other attacks that followed that all landed on the same spot.

The attacker really seemed impatient with this barrage of attacks.

It was just that these attacks had no effect in the end.

After Lin Fan stumbled back a step, he stood firm once more.

Even though he had been hit head on with these attacks, it didn’t seem like he had been affected at all.

That was because over his skin, there was this thin layer of void power that was there. This was something else that he had gained from his new perspective about his void power.

His control over it had reached a point where he could easily layer it over his skin like this to form a skin tight barrier.

It also wasn’t any weaker than the void power barrier that he released previously even though it was definitely thinner. That was because this was concentrated power rather than scattered power.

It easily absorbed the power within all of these attacks that hit him without a problem.

There wasn’t a single scratch on Lin Fan even though he had been hit with this barrage.

After looking around, Lin Fan headed in a certain direction.

This time, he had found something.

It was funny that he had found something since he had only been able to discover it after letting his guard down like this. If he had kept his guard up, he definitely wouldn’t have found it.

But with his guard down, he was actually able to focus on the attacks and find a pattern.

Though they had come from different angles, there was one thing that they had in common.

There was something that seemed to be pushing them through space.

Or the better way to say it was that they were ripping through space with void power, as if it had ripped space out of the air and created a tunnel.

This was something that Lin Fan had never thought of before, but he did hear about black holes and how they were tunnels to different places in the universe in his past life.

It was said that there were pairs of black holes that connected two different points in universes known as wormholes.

The way that these attacks moved was similar to that.

However, it certainly wasn’t a way of using his void power that he had considered before.

But now that he had seen an example, he was able to imagine it and it wasn’t hard for him to recreate it. After all, his control over the void power was better than whoever was releasing these attacks.

It was just that before seeing it, he really never thought that something like this was possible.

Now that he had seen it, he couldn’t help wondering if there were other things that he could do with this void power.

The example that these attacks set had opened him up to thinking outside the box and encouraged him to think about all different kinds of things he could do with this void power.

But before that, there was something else that he had to take care of.

Once the attack failed, it seemed like whoever had been releasing these attacks was afraid of him once more as they completely stopped. It was as if they didn’t dare come close to him out of fear that they would be discovered.

Only because he had figured out how these attacks came at him, Lin Fan had also figured out how to find traces of these attacks in the air around him. From that he was actually able to find a trail that he could follow.

From what he could see, these attacks left traces that were just like the gashes.

It could be said that these were instabilities left in space because of the void power tearing a rip in space like that. So for those that could see it, it was actually quite obvious.

It was to the point where Lin Fan was even wondering how he had missed these before when they were right there in front of him.

The only thing that he could think of was that he wasn’t aware of it before.

This was one of those things that people just ignored unless they knew what they were looking for. It was one of those things that their eyes wouldn’t see unless it was tuned to it.

Though in the first place, it wasn’t as if there were many people that could see instabilities in space like this unless they had a special power.

So that was why Lin Fan followed the trail that had been left by the attacks.

This trail wasn’t a short one as there were many instabilities in the air.

It seemed that this attack had been sent from a very far distance and had moved through space through short jumps like this until they reached him.

It really made Lin Fan wonder what kind of thing the other side was that it was able to keep track of him even though there was all this space between them.

After all, he could see that it wasn’t a short distance from how many instabilities there were.

Still, this gave him a clear trail to find the attacker.

Which was why Lin Fan didn’t waste any time in following that trail when it was placed in front of him like this.

With his speed, it didn’t take him long to travel that distance.

Only he suddenly stopped before he reached the end.
