Chapter 365: Chapter 2: The Third Circuit
Time flies, the years pass swiftly, and in the blink of an eye, three years have gone by.
“Click!”
The door of the Cultivation Room slowly opened, and Lynch, who had been in seclusion for many days, emerged.
It was early morning, and sunlight streamed through the cross windows, forming beams that fell precisely before Lynch; he took a few steps and stood in the light.
Having not seen sunlight for many days, he involuntarily squinted slightly.
After a brief moment of adjustment to the environment, he continued forward and lay down on a wicker chair.
Lynch glanced at the time on the wall; it was not quite seven in the morning.
He waited for a few minutes, and when the time reached five minutes past seven, he casually snapped his fingers.
“Snap!”
A sumptuous breakfast suddenly appeared on the previously empty dining table, including soft, open-faced white bread, honey jam, baked egg tarts, stewed apples, and hot milk, among other foods.
Magic cannot create delicacies, and these foods weren’t conjured from thin air; they were prepared by the servants in the castle.
Over the years of exploration, Lynch’s Space Magic had further advanced. Besides the previous 10-kilometer-apart spatial coordinates, he now mastered several shorter-distance spatial coordinates.
Previously, he could only manage point-to-point teleportation for himself; now, he could transport objects at the coordinates.
So, Lynch instructed the castle servants to deliver prepared food to an empty room at a fixed time. If the food hadn’t disappeared within fifteen minutes, they could dispose of it themselves.
Mastering this spell proved quite convenient; otherwise, Lynch would have had to either go to town to eat or cook himself, both rather troublesome tasks. Now all his meals, including afternoon tea and late-night snacks, were simply a matter of waiting to be served at the appointed time.
Three years in the Magic World seemed almost the same as three days; there was hardly any change in the Wizard Tower, except that it was slightly quieter without Annie.
Annie’s cultivation had already proceeded down the right path, so he had recently sent her to the Wizard Tower in the city. After all, it wasn’t good to always live in solitude; interacting with peers would prevent her from becoming reclusive.
Leaning back on the chair, Lynch ate breakfast while opening the system panel to check his current status.
Name: Lynch Valen.
Attributes: Strength 112, Agility 127, Constitution 108, Spirit 2105.
Time Wheel (Second Rank) Level 3.
In three years, Lynch had without surprise successfully broken through to the third Mystical Circuit, and the Time Wheel had successfully upgraded to Level 3—
Don’t think this is an easy feat.
The cultivation of each Mystical Circuit is no less difficult than advancing from apprentice to Wizard; the most demanding aspect lies in the shackles within, which almost always obstruct progress during even the slightest cultivation.
Ordinary Wizards facing such shackles are nearly helpless, relying on endless attempts, luck, and time to slowly erode them.
If one breaks through the shackles, their strength surges, entering the next cultivation stage, but if one fails to break through, their strength remains stagnant, or may even regress.
The most fatal aspect is the uncertainty of when, or if, the shackles will be broken?
Some may complete the breakthrough and advance to the next stage within years, while others could remain stagnant for decades or centuries.
Bewilderment, uncertainty, despair.
Many Wizards reach this point and cannot continue, eventually completely giving up and turning to chase other pursuits, indulging in life’s pleasures.
Many Wizards persist but never see the dawn of breakthrough before their Life Force runs dry…
This path is truly cruel; perseverance does not guarantee reward.
“If it weren’t for the system… I probably wouldn’t be able to persist either…”
Lynch doesn’t believe he is superior to others. His ability to continually advance mainly relies on the system; the universe rewards diligence, ensuring that every cultivation yields results and growth, eternally proving strength without falling.
Thus, no matter how arduous the cultivation, how slow the incremental Skill Level, how tormenting the bottleneck periods, he continues cultivating, accumulating tirelessly year after year.
Three Circuits—if replaced by other Wizards—it would take at least a century, yet he accomplished it in just over a decade.
Of course, the actual time consumed definitely wasn’t just that amount; the twisted time of the pocket watch was actually much more invested, but calculated any way, he was much faster and easier than ordinary Wizards.
After all,
To him, effort truly yields reward.
After finishing breakfast, Lynch casually waved, and the tableware disappeared again along with the food remnants back to their original place.
Space Magic is quite draining on spiritual power; if it’s merely maintaining his teleportation, that would be one thing, but specifically transferring breakfast is undoubtedly somewhat extravagant.
Lynch certainly wouldn’t have done so in the past; this system was only recently established.
To be precise, it was after breaking through the third Mystical Circuit.
The third Mystical Circuit is also known as the ’Efficiency Circuit’; breaking through this Circuit allows a Wizard to achieve a qualitative leap in controlling their spiritual power, gaining higher Energy Utilization and more precise spiritual power use.
Simply put, with less spiritual power, one can cast more powerful spells.
The same spell now only consumes about one-third of the previous spiritual power, yet its effect is enhanced by 2 to 3 times.
Such is the nature of Mystical Circuits; although every step forward is fraught with difficulty, each small advance yields extraordinary benefits.
“Cuckoo! Cuckoo!”
At this moment, a wall-mounted clock chimed; the wooden cuckoo bird emerged from a small house on top of the clock.
“The appointed time has arrived! The appointed time has arrived!”
Are there any scheduled plans today?
Lynch snapped his fingers, and a diary appeared out of thin air—Lynch’s diary.
Although most things have been arranged, Lynch, as a Witch Master, still has miscellaneous tasks. Without a secretary or assistant, he crafted a Magic Diary to prevent forgetfulness, making reminders at fixed times.
“Rustle!”
The crisp sound of paper echoed, the pages flipped swiftly, soon stopping at one page, and a line of writing appeared clearly before Lynch’s eyes.
It reads: Wedding.
The Novel will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
