Chapter 1084: Chapter 375: School (2)
…
The next day, as dawn began to break.
In a luxurious bedroom at the Bavarian Mansion.
Rein gently released the embrace he had on the young girl’s smooth white arm and began to get up.
He planned to follow the address recorded on the memory crystal and head to the Bixiu Mechanization School today.
“Rein?” Anna opened her sleepy eyes and said.
“Anna, rest a little longer, and later take care of Blood Feather for me; I’m going to the school.”
“Okay! Come back soon.”
Since Anna was aware Rein intended to visit the school, she naturally had no objections.
…
Following the address in the memory crystal, Rein quickly took a carriage to his destination.
It was located deep in a quiet alley amidst the hustle, with an iron sign depicting a large barrel of ale gleaming brightly. Below the barrel’s tap sat a goblet, and the sign read “Craige Brewing.”
Though it was still early morning, the shop was already open for business.
Rein glanced upward and couldn’t help but ponder, ’Is this a base for the school, or perhaps, a result of some witchcraft?’
“This unfamiliar guest, it’s your first time at Craige Brewing, isn’t it?” A female attendant approached, smiling as she asked.
“Yes, I’m looking for Lord Mogaro.”
“Oh? Lord Mogaro? You are… please follow me.” The female attendant’s eyes lit up as she spoke promptly.
Quickly, Rein followed the female attendant down to the basement wine cellar, where she rang a bell. Soon, the wooden door of the cellar opened, and a middle-aged man in a shabby gray wizard robe emerged, saying:
“Joy, why are you disturbing my sleep so early…”
But upon seeing Rein and slightly perceiving him, he immediately rubbed his eyes, his gaze widening with disbelief as he looked at Rein.
“Hmm? This… this gentleman, you are…”
Although he wasn’t aware of Rein’s specific situation, judging from Rein’s subtle yet powerful aura, anyone could tell that the individual had surpassed the Third Level Wizard Apprentice, at least being an Official Wizard.
“I’m here to see Mentor Mogaro.”
“Mentor Mogaro? Sir, if you wish to enter the school, you need to display your insignia.” The shabby man glanced at Rein with confusion.
He confirmed he hadn’t seen Rein before.
Yet the person addressed Mogaro as his mentor, seemingly indicating he was from the school.
“Check it out; my name is Rein. Mentor Mogaro should have already informed the school.”
“Please hold on, I will check right away.” The individual hurriedly returned inside.
In less than a minute, he reappeared, respectfully saying, “Lord Rein, it’s been confirmed. Lord Mogaro registered with the academy over a month ago. I will guide you into the school now.”
“Yes, thank you.”
With that, Rein stepped into the cellar.
The next second, a complex array of symbols flashed across the ground, and Rein felt as though he had entered a bubble. As a ripple passed by, he vanished from the cellar door.
With his vision suddenly blurred, Rein soon realized he had arrived in an underground hall.
“Ah, is this a teleportation array?”
“Indeed, this is a short-distance teleportation array. The specific technology has been lost to time, but it was transported from ancient ruins by the school’s powerful wizards long ago.” The shabby man boasted proudly.
…
Meanwhile.
In a spacious room at the Bixiu Mechanization School’s base.
From a distance, the sound of clinking and clanking could be heard.
A group of young people in gray wizard robes, regardless of gender, were rolling up their sleeves, busying themselves with various shaped metal blocks, some wielding iron hammers to occasionally strike.
“Audrey, your Metal Morphing Spell is becoming more proficient. Unlike me, I can’t fully succeed in transforming components each time and must correct them manually.”
“Sigh! Why do I feel like I’m more of a blacksmith than a Metal Series Wizard? Oh, my! There’s still so much to do; the workload is just too immense…” A young male wizard with short chestnut hair complained with a sour face.
“Haha, Joseph, have you gone a single day this month without complaining?” said a young woman who appeared to be in her early twenties, with a tall and graceful figure and charming features.
“Instead of wasting energy, you’d better practice the Metal Morphing Spell properly.” After speaking, the young woman placed her slender, fair hands on a piece of metal material.
As she softly chanted a spell.
The basin-sized iron block began to slowly transform, and after nearly half a minute, an iron component resembling a hollow cylinder was completed.
However, beads of sweat appeared on the young woman’s forehead.
Evidently, the recently performed Metal Morphing Spell had been quite taxing for her.
“I agree with Joseph on that; we’ve had too much work lately in the Metal Series. I haven’t even had time to attend the wizard salons…” Another slightly older, more mature female wizard nearby also spoke with a look of helplessness.
“Hey, did you hear?”
“Paul Nichson from the Clay Series advanced to the Late Stage of First Level Wizard two days ago. His spiritual power fogging degree exceeds sixty percent. He’s only 27; it’s really impressive!” the mature female wizard shared a bit of gossip.
“What? He’s only been with the school for half a year, and he’s already reached the Late Stage?” Joseph exclaimed.
“What’s unusual about that? Don’t forget, he’s a descendant of the Nichson Duke Family from the Imperial City, carefully nurtured from a young age. Such talent and progress are quite normal.” The mature female wizard rolled her eyes at Joseph and said.
