Chapter 649: Chapter 280: Hidden Secrets of the Divine Spirit
David immediately became vigilant.
He used his perception to sense the surrounding environment, but did not detect any specific threats.
Amy and Reina also stopped in their tracks, gripping their weapons and magic staffs tightly.
“Do you feel it?”
Amy asked softly, sensing a strange anxiety in the air.
“Yes, something is calling to us.”
Reina replied, gripping the Ice Sword in her hand, the energy making her wary.
David slowly walked forward, a vague intuition telling him that this abnormal phenomenon might be related to the information they were seeking.
They gradually approached the slightly trembling ice layer, seeing a corner of it exuding an unusual glow.
Beneath that glow, one could sense an ancient and powerful battle aura.
When they finally uncovered the thin ice cover, a shocking scene appeared before them—a battlefield of old!
Countless human bones, shattered weapons, and broken armor were buried under a thick layer of ice.
The bones emitted a faint ominous aura, and around them, black and silver intertwined inscriptions seemed to be part of some curse or ancient array.
“This is… a historically massive war.”
David said in a deep voice, feeling the endless grief and anger buried here.
The undead seemed still to wander here, never having found rest, trapped and isolated in this place.
“We must be careful, there might be undead guardians or other stronger entities here.” Amy cautioned, her expression notably serious.
As the three approached, the long-silent bones began to gently tremble, a deep, ghostly whispering arose, like a lament from the abyss, making one’s skin crawl.
At this moment, a strong sense of unease swept over them.
These undead seemed unwilling to be forgotten, yearning for revenge, for release, yet trapped in this eternally withering place unable to leave.
“We need to leave here quickly!” Reina said firmly, swinging her Ice Sword for precaution.
At this time, the scattered bones seemed summoned and began to move, gradually forming shapes, rising as if reborn—the undead army on this ancient battleground was revived!
“Prepare for battle!” David shouted.
He activated the Ice Element Mark within him, emitting a dazzling blue light, simultaneously Amy and Reina also unleashed powerful ice power.
With the flickering blue light, the resurrected undead pounced fiercely upon the three.
David, Amy, and Reina quickly took battle stances against the revived undead army.
Frost surged in the air, the undead sneering with broken teeth and scarred faces, holding rusty weapons, their aura thick with anger and despair.
“Amy, attack them from the front, I’ll provide support!”
David instructed swiftly, clearly aware of the importance of teamwork.
Amy nodded in response, taking a deep breath, and extended her hand, releasing a cold light from within her.
“Breath of Ice!”
She shouted, sending a powerful surge of ice forward, enveloping some of the charging undead.
Bone-chilling frost rose from the ground, freezing those undead into ice sculptures, emitting sounds like glass shattering.
Meanwhile, Reina swung her Ice Sword, snowy white light slashing forward like sharp blades, she rushed at the approaching undead with incredible speed.
Her sword moves like a rainbow, each swing accompanied by a biting cold wind, the approaching bones shattering under the white sword light.
“Maintain formation! Don’t let them distract us!” David coolly commanded from the rear.
He sensed the positions of surrounding enemies through the Six-Ring Sea God Bloodline and continuously cast Water Element spells to support the two witches.
Raising his hands high, a vortex of seawater formed, rushing at the densest group of undead under his control, drawing them into the whirlpool.
However, these revived undead were not easily defeated; with decayed bodies, they possessed extraordinary indomitable will.
Frozen or drawn into whirlpools, they seemed unwilling, soon breaking free, and once again lunged at the three.
“Together!” David said in a deep voice.
Amy and Reina exchanged a glance, nodding in mutual understanding.
Next, they began to unleash a more powerful combined technique—merging their control over ice power and water elements to form a new power beyond individual limits.
“Melting Storm!”
With the three united efforts, a crystal-clear and eerie blue light instantly converged into a whirlwind, spreading around them.
In the storm’s center, countless small ice blocks floated in the air, shining like stars, launching innumerable razor-sharp blades outward!
This power engulfed all undead approaching them, who screamed in horror but could not escape the onslaught.
Amidst the burning and despair, those once-fearless bone warriors were ultimately shattered into fragments and utterly annihilated.
As the battle’s aftermath gradually subsided, the three stood on the icy ancient battleground.
Surrounded by chaos, the broken undead were swept into fragments by the storm, with faint cold air and lingering undead resentment permeating the air.
