Wizard: Stronger through Marriage - Chapter 671 - 291: Temptation

Chapter 671: Chapter 291: Temptation
Another period of time passed.
Since successfully elevating the Source of Magic Power to the Fifth Ring, David returned to the castle.
For him, the Pathological Witch was not even considered a lover.
As for the Pathological Witch, breaking through to the Fifth Ring was an impossibility. He shouldn’t need to seek cultivation with the Pathological Witch as often anymore.
If he just wanted to enjoy the pleasures between lovers, Melissa was clearly a better choice.
Apart from this, David also sent people to the westernmost part of the Endless Sea, the Sea of Death, attempting to find Blood Shadow Island on its periphery.
Unfortunately, these Bloodline Mages were really too cunning; nothing has been discovered yet.
David pondered for a moment, understanding that when faced with the power of Bloodline Mages, he needed a more secretive and strategic path.
He thought for a while and decided to start with the Pathological Witch.
“I need you to contact those Bloodline Mages and acquire their information.”
“Tell them you are still willing to serve them and let me hide within the fleet. This way, we can find further opportunities.”
The Pathological Witch frowned slightly; her fear of the Bloodline Mages had not disappeared, but everything she had was under their control. She could not resist any decision from David, and at this moment could only comply as much as possible.
…
Next, David began to formulate a plan.
In the following days, the Pathological Witch, David, and the wizards set sail again.
Although the original slave ship had been destroyed, it was not too hard for them to build another.
Meanwhile, David also began to prepare his action.
Utilizing his knowledge of the sea and navigation routes, he secretly hid the night before the fleet set off.
As night fell, the slave ship slowly left Azure Island.
David directly activated his Sea God Bloodline to accelerate the ship, allowing it to quickly pass through the vast stretches of sea.
Soon, they approached the Sea of Death.
The sea surface was shrouded in mist, with murmurs seemingly originating from the deep sea, giving an eerie feeling.
Yet, at this moment, no one noticed the silhouette hidden within.
Between the waves and mist, David held his breath and listened quietly, the whispers seeming like a summon from the Abyss.
After days of uncertain navigation, the slave ship finally approached a small island surrounded by gale in the southwest direction of the Sea of Death.
Although this wasn’t Blood Shadow Island, it was equally eerie.
This place had bizarre whirls and a sense of disorientation, further burdened by the unsettling aura of ancient powers.
In this perilous land, everyone must exert themselves to survive.
The Pathological Witch emitted some magic to awaken those entities around her who craved power and desired experimentation.
When she stepped onto the island, she tried her best to act nonchalantly, yet stayed alert to any surrounding movements.
While hidden below the slave ship, David watched closely as events unfolded.
Soon, a group of figures shrouded in black robes with indistinct faces emerged from the darkness; they were the long-awaited Bloodline Mages.
These individuals emitted a suffocating aura of unease, wandering like ghosts in the darkness.
They gazed at the Pathological Witch standing before them, with one of the leaders coldly stating, “You really returned. We thought you were dead.”
“Recently, the Endless Sea is full of wizards and Hell Demons, making it take extra time to get here.”
“I have new information.” The Pathological Witch directly faced them.
She knew now was not the time to show any fear or hesitation. “I bring information that can aid us in conducting new experiments.”
Facing this group who were cold, heartless, and full of curiosity, David faintly heard their conversations about experiments and cultivation.
He understood that this was the crucial moment to gather intelligence and seek opportunities.
This time, in dealing with these Bloodline Mages, his main goal was still to further acquire the inheritance of the Bloodline Mages.
Currently, his Source of Bloodline was only at the Fourth Ring, although he possessed the Six-Ring Sea God Bloodline and Beastification Talent, allowing him to reach the Tier Five Bloodline Wizard.
However, to truly break through to the Tier Five Bloodline Wizard level, he still needed to further acquire the inheritance of the Fifth Ring Bloodline Mage.
“Take us to see the goods.” The Bloodline Mage spoke.
For ongoing bloodline experiments, powerful test subjects are indispensable.
David remained in the concealed position at the bottom of the ship, attentively listening to the conversations of the Bloodline Mages.
He knew that relying solely on the power of the Pathological Witch was not enough to fully control these cunning and dangerous entities.
As the Pathological Witch engaged in deeper dialogues with the Bloodline Mages, he silently recited a spell, preparing to activate the power contained within his Sea God Bloodline.
“I will show you the new goods I possess.” The Pathological Witch said.
Immediately, she cast magic in the sea, stirring waves.
At the same time, David silently activated the Foggy Barrier, manipulating the surroundings and trapping any intruders.
He focused on blending his mind into it, causing the mist to rapidly expand, enveloping the entire slave ship in an azure glow.
The dense and mysterious fog swiftly spread out, continually swallowing everything around.
Those black-robed Bloodline Mages instantly sensed an indescribable unease and suffocation, starting to panic and look around, only to find themselves trapped in an endless mist.
