Chapter 780: Chapter 345: Blood Core and Divine Spirit Legends (Part 2)
“He is our last hope!”
An experienced elder said in a deep voice, his hair snowy white but still firm, as he tried to stabilize the emotions of others.
As the aftermath of the battle spread, they felt the deathly aura in the air intensifying.
The island began to tremble, the earth seemed to roar in anger, and this turmoil only made them more panic-stricken.
Everyone understood in their hearts that if they lost the leader, they might never be able to control the Undead or harness the Power of Death again.
“Look around!”
A young wizard pointed to the sky, where the Undead that had once been summoned started to float and sway chaotically.
These Undead lost their targets and direction, like headless flies, no longer obeying the commands of their summoner.
They wandered everywhere, hovering and lamenting in this land of despair, continuously emitting mournful cries.
The pride and arrogance of the past now turned to dust.
But at this moment, no matter how hard they tried, they could not find any way to resist everything that was about to collapse.
This unseen force under pressure plunged everyone into deep fear, and no one could find a way to cope with it all.
Just then, a blinding light pierced the darkness, formed by the Power of Ether that David released.
However, this light did not bring hope to them; on the contrary, it made every Bloodline Mage more acutely aware of their insignificance.
They saw the immense power David displayed during his confrontation with the leader, along with a resolute conviction that manifested for an instant, causing a strong disquiet to well up in everyone’s heart.
If even the most powerful leader could be defeated, then how could they possibly face this power alone?
“President David won, now comes the time for reckoning.”
In contrast, the Dragon Descendant Mages were very excited and began suppressing these Bloodline Mages.
Especially after David joined the battlefield, the battle immediately became one-sided, leaving the Bloodline Mages unable to withstand it.
With David’s light beam tearing through the haze, the situation on Blood Shadow Island changed dramatically.
The Undead, once disordered and chaotic, began to be affected, as if losing the guidance of their Souls, scattering in all directions.
At this moment, the Dragon Descendant Mages took the opportunity to launch aggressive attacks, pouncing on the demoralized and directionless Bloodline Mages like wolves.
“Quick! Gather strength!”
A young Bloodline Mage cried out in despair, but his voice seemed insignificant amid the chaos.
Faced with powerful enemies, fear had long taken root in them, rendering them unable to muster any spirit.
The Dragon Descendant Mages surged in like a tide, swiftly encircling these Bloodline Mages at their center.
With spells and waving magic staffs, in a flash.
Those who once prided themselves on controlling the Undead and Dark Power have now become helpless insects, easily captured.
“You are all dead people!” A Dragon Descendant Mage said coldly, his hands shining with a dazzling light, “From now on, as long as we wish, you will serve us eternally!”
As these words fell, peals of wild laughter rang out, and those captured Bloodline Mages looked at each other with despair about their fate.
They struggled to cry out, but could no longer find the confidence and pride they once had when they could control the Undead and dark forces.
Now, facing the enemy, they could only be disgracefully captured and bound.
Within minutes, almost all remaining Bloodline Mages had been captured.
They discovered their magic was uncastable, and they could not summon the Undead, helplessly watching as they were restrained and imprisoned.
David stood atop after the battle, looking at the scene with a mix of anger and unwillingness in his heart.
He knew these people had been cruel and powerful foes, but he also understood that even enemies have unknown sides.
Meanwhile, the captured Bloodline Mages began to realize their situation.
Some tried to struggle but found no escape; others hung their heads in silence, unwilling to face the fate about to befall them.
At this life-and-death, ever-changing moment, they finally understood that within darkness and death, deeper and more terrifying unease awaited them.
“Prepare for interrogation!” David instructed directly, “You must divulge all your secrets, or you will endure deeper pain!”
At that moment, a chill surged in the hearts of those imprisoned—they knew they would never rise again.
As David commanded the interrogation, the Dragon Descendant Mages swiftly escorted the captured Bloodline Mages to a dark chamber filled with ancient and mysterious runes.
The runes shimmered with faint light, as if whispering the secrets long hidden on this land.
David walked at the forefront, knowing these captives might hold crucial information about Blood Shadow Island.
“You must reveal everything about Blood Shadow Island,” David said coldly, “or face endless pain.”
A young Bloodline Mage raised his head, his eyes showing despair and anger.
He knew this was as inescapable as a death sentence; he gritted his teeth and said, “You can torture us, but we will never disclose any secrets!”
“Hmph.” David smiled slightly, unconcerned by an individual’s defiance.
“You think resilience is courage, but when faced with real danger, such courage becomes meaningless.”
Mantaining silence, those captured were filled with fear but could not resist what they faced.
David gestured for the Dragon Descendant Mages to begin the interrogation, and a long-robed, stern-faced Dragon Descendant cast a spell, projecting a silver light onto the young mage.
“This is the Mind Detection Skill; it allows me to extract the deepest information from your mind,” he said calmly, “If you don’t want to suffer, you can choose to voluntarily hand over the information.”
The young mage’s face turned pale; he finally realized he couldn’t escape the immense pressure before him.
He glanced around, seeing his companions with increasingly despairing and anxious expressions—a life one by one about to be destroyed, with hope slipping away.
“Alright!” he trembled as he spoke.
David nodded, “Begin.”
“We had heard—deep within this island hides an ancient and terrifying power.”
The young mage hesitated, then continued, “It’s a relic left by a Tier Seven Divine Spirit, what we call the Blood Core.”
“Reportedly, this core holds endless Bloodline Power, the origin of all bloodlines, the power our leader has always sought and tried to control!”
“Tier Seven Divine Spirit? Blood Core? Bloodline Origin?” David frowned as the name stirred waves in his heart.
Upon hearing these words, other Dragon Descendants also focused their attention, never having imagined such a massive secret hidden on this seemingly ordinary island.
“Yes.” The young Bloodline Mage took a deep breath and continued, “The Blood Core is a relic left by a Tier Seven Divine Spirit in ancient times, containing endless Bloodline Power.”
“It not only enhances the controller’s magic but also influences everything alive around it, granting them strong bloodlines. On this island, all Bloodline Mages originate from this power.”
David’s frown deepened, knowing what it meant.
“Our leader has always been searching for this Blood Core, believing that only by mastering this power can he truly rule over all living things.”
Listening to these words, David’s expression grew even more grave.
Currently, the Bloodline Wizard Leader had already entered a mysterious place within the seals of Blood Shadow Island.
And from what he understood, that place likely hid the legendary Blood Core.
If the Tier Seven Divine Spirit’s power and the legend of the Blood Core were true, he too had to enter the seal to stop the Bloodline Wizard Leader.
