Wizard: Stronger through Marriage - Chapter 820 - 365: Deep Exploration (Part 2)

Chapter 820: Chapter 365: Deep Exploration (Part 2)
The body of the Blood Demon Commander flew backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into a distant stone wall that instantly collapsed amidst a cloud of dust.
David stood his ground, breathing slightly heavily, but his gaze remained sharp, fixed on the Blood Demon Commander within the swirling dust.
Alia quickly ran to David’s side and asked with concern, “David, are you okay?”
David shook his head, still keeping his gaze forward, “I’m fine, but he hasn’t fallen yet.”
Sure enough, a low laugh came from within the dust, as the Blood Demon Commander slowly rose from the ruins.
His chest was caved in, clearly severely injured, but his eyes still glowed with a blood-red light.
“I didn’t expect… your power to be so formidable.”
The Blood Demon Commander’s voice was tinged with a chilling coldness, “But, did you think this would defeat me?”
David looked at him coldly.
The Blood Demon Commander sneered, suddenly waving his hands, unleashing the Power of Blood Demons once more, transforming into countless blood-red chains sweeping towards David and Alia.
A flash of coldness passed through David’s eyes and he quickly shielded Alia, flinging his hands abruptly, the Power of Blood Demons forming a gigantic energy barrier before them.
The blood-red chains clashed against the energy barrier with a piercing screech, but David’s barrier did not budge.
Then the Blood Demon Power within him surged, her hands swiftly making sealing techniques, transforming the Blood Demon Power into a massive blood-red pillar of light, blasting toward the Blood Demon Commander.
The Blood Demon Commander’s expression finally changed, retreating rapidly, but David was already upon him.
“It’s over.”
David said coldly, launching his fist again, the Power of Blood Demons on his fist forming a dazzling light.
The Blood Demon Commander’s face finally turned pale, attempting to resist, but David’s fist already struck his chest fiercely.
“Boom!”
With a loud crash, the Blood Demon Commander’s body was flung backward once again, slamming into a distant stone wall that collapsed instantly, sending clouds of dust into the air.
David’s face remained calm.
The Blood Demon Commander’s strength had already reached the Fifth-Ring Level.
Even if this body was merely a Source of Bloodline avatar, dealing with it should have been easy.
Nonetheless, he didn’t intend to reveal his identity so readily, hence he only invoked the Power of Blood Demons.
From the recent battle, he also gained quite a lot.
David stood his ground, feeling the surging Power of Blood Demons inside him gradually subside.
Although the Blood Demon Commander’s power was formidable, David realized that the opponent’s Power of Blood Demons was not pure, as if mixed with some impurities.
These impurities made the Blood Demon Commander’s power more violent, but also made it unstable, preventing it from being fully unleashed.
“I see…” David murmured softly, a flash of understanding in his eyes.
He realized that the Power of Blood Demons was not merely an accumulation of power, but required deeper mastery.
Though the Blood Demon Commander’s power was strong, he clearly hadn’t completely mastered it, instead driven by the power, losing himself.
David took a deep breath, the Power of Blood Demons within him surging once more.
This time, his power became more refined, as if it had been cleansed, becoming purer.
“David, are you okay?” Alia walked over to him, her eyes full of concern.
David nodded, his gaze still fixed on the distant Blood Demon Commander, “I’m fine, and… I have new insights.”
Alia was slightly stunned, then revealed a relieved smile, “That’s good.”
David said no more, slowly walking toward the Blood Demon Commander.
At this moment, the Blood Demon Commander lay on the ground, chest caved in, blood at the corner of his mouth, evidently unable to fight anymore.
“Who… who exactly are you?”
The Blood Demon Commander struggled to raise his head, eyes full of fear and despair.
David did not answer, but slowly squatted, pressing his palm gently against the Blood Demon Commander’s chest.
“The Power of Blood Demons within you… no longer belongs to you.”
David said softly, his voice tinged with coldness.
The Blood Demon Commander’s face instantly turned pale, feeling the Power of Blood Demons within him rapidly drain away, as if being pulled by an invisible force.
“No… impossible!”
The Blood Demon Commander struggled, trying to resist, but his body was already immobile, watching helplessly as his power was drained away by David bit by bit.
“What… what have you done?”
The Blood Demon Commander’s voice was filled with despair.
David did not answer, continuing to channel the Power of Blood Demons within him, thoroughly draining the power from the Blood Demon Commander.
As the power drained, the Blood Demon Commander’s body grew weaker, the blood-red light in his eyes dimming.
“You… you can’t do this!”
The Blood Demon Commander’s voice grew weaker, eventually turning into a powerless moan.
David stood up, his palm holding a mass of blood-red energy, which he had extracted from the Blood Demon Commander.
He glanced down at the now-unconscious Blood Demon Commander, with no trace of pity in his eyes.
“Your power… no longer belongs to you.”
David said softly, then slowly integrated the Blood Demon Power in his hand back into his own body.
With the absorption of this power, David felt the Power of Blood Demons within him elevate once more, seeming to break through a certain boundary, becoming purer and stronger.
“David…” Alia approached him, her eyes full of worry.
David turned his head, smiling slightly, “Don’t worry, I’ve completely mastered this power.”
Alia nodded, a hint of relief flashing in her eyes, “That’s good.”
David’s gaze shifted once more to the distant darkness, a glimmer of severity flickering in his eyes, “However, this is just the beginning. The appearance of the Blood Demon Commander means we have been targeted.”
Alia’s expression turned serious, “What should we do next?”
David pondered for a moment, then said, “We need to become stronger. Only then can we face the challenges ahead.”
In the distant darkness, it seemed more presences were approaching.
“Let’s go, Alia,” David said softly, “Our battle… has just begun.”
David and Alia stood amidst the ruins, the surrounding darkness seemingly silently engulfing everything.
In the distance, a low roar could faintly be heard, as if more enemies were closing in.
However, David’s gaze remained particularly calm, his thoughts immersed in the recent battle.
“Alia, although the Blood Demon Commander’s power is strong, his Power of Blood Demons is not pure.”
David said softly, his eyes flickering with contemplative light, “His power is mixed with some kind of impurity, preventing him from truly mastering the Power of Blood Demons.”
Alia nodded, her brows slightly furrowed, “You mean, the Power of Blood Demons itself isn’t the problem, but rather how to master it?”
“Exactly.” David’s gaze deepened, “There must be some connection between the Power of Blood Demons and the Source of Bloodline. If we can find this connection, perhaps we could fully master this power, even transcend it.”
Alia pondered for a moment, then said, “Then what should we do next? The appearance of the Blood Demon Commander implies we’ve been watched. Continuing to study the Power of Blood Demons might attract more enemies.”
David smiled slightly, a hint of determination in his eyes, “Danger should never be the reason for us to back down. Alia, we must find the connection between the Power of Blood Demons and the Source of Bloodline. Only then can we truly master this power, and perhaps unravel the secrets of the Source of Bloodline.”
Alia looked at David, her eyes full of trust, “Alright, whatever decision you make, I will support you.”
David nodded, then took out a blood-red crystal stone from his pocket.
It was the crystal formed from the Power of Blood Demons extracted from the Blood Demon Commander.
The crystal stone emitted a faint glow, seemingly containing boundless power.
