Felicia sat quietly inside the café, her gaze resting on the cup of coffee placed in front of her.

The café was relatively peaceful at this hour, with fewer and fewer people moving around.

Felicia wore a vintage gown that suited her elegant and somewhat old-fashioned style.

Its long fabric falling neatly around her legs while the subtle embroidery around the sleeves gave her appearance a refined charm.

Felicia slowly lifted her cup but stopped before taking a sip. Someone was approaching her table.

She raised her gaze and saw a woman walking toward her with a small smile on her face.

It was Ambrosia.

Unlike Felicia’s vintage appearance, Ambrosia dressed in a more modern yet conservative style.

She wore a simple dark-colored dress that reached below her knees with a neatly fitted jacket over it.

Her clothes were fashionable without being excessive, giving her a mature and composed appearance.

Ambrosia stopped beside the table.

Felicia stood up and extended her hand. "You must be Ambrosia."

Ambrosia smiled and accepted her hand. "And you must be Felicia."

The two women exchanged a brief handshake before sitting across from each other on the comfortable sofas.

Ambrosia placed a small notebook on the table and looked toward Felicia.

"I’ve been told that you have all the documents regarding the mana rich lands and the case."

Felicia nodded. She reached into the bag beside her and pulled out several neatly organized files before placing them on the table.

"These contain everything related to the lands."

Ambrosia nodded and took the documents.

She opened the first file and began going through the papers carefully, occasionally making small notes with the pen she had brought with her.

Felicia watched her for a moment before speaking. "Have you already met Seraphina?"

Ambrosia glanced up.

"I have." A small smile appeared on her face. "She’s a very sweet girl."

Felicia remained silent for a moment before asking, "You know about her and Amon?"

Ambrosia’s smile became slightly weaker.

She looked down at the documents before answering. "I do."

There was a subtle change in her expression, almost like something about the subject bothered her, but she quickly returned her attention to the paperwork.

Felicia noticed it but she didn’t comment on it.

She leaned back slightly. "I don’t really like Amon."

"You don’t like him?" Ambrosia immediately looked up."Why wouldn’t you like such a sweet boy?"

Felicia gave her a skeptical look. "Because he’s much more mischievous and opportunistic than he lets people believe."

Ambrosia stared at her for a moment before giving a small smile. "Perhaps he simply doesn’t like showing that side of himself around me."

Felicia remained silent.

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she studied Ambrosia. "Do you have a close relationship with Amon?"

Ambrosia nodded without hesitation.

"I do." She lowered her gaze toward the documents again. "There hasn’t really been a time when I didn’t like him."

Felicia quietly watched her.

There was something unusually sincere about the way Ambrosia spoke about him.

After a moment, Ambrosia turned one of the documents toward Felicia.

"Now, about your daughter." She pointed toward a section of the paperwork.

"Do you want her to simply remain a backer, or do you want her to become involved in the business itself?"

Felicia didn’t hesitate.

"I’ll handle the work." She folded her hands together. "I don’t want my daughter appearing at the front of the business."

Ambrosia nodded and wrote something down. "Understood."

For several moments, neither woman spoke.

The quiet atmosphere of the café filled the space between them until a waitress approached their table.

She placed another cup of coffee in front of Ambrosia.

Ambrosia looked at it in confusion. "I didn’t order this."

Felicia calmly picked up her own cup. "I ordered it for you."

Ambrosia looked at her before giving a small smile. "Thank you."

She accepted the coffee and continued reviewing the documents.

However, her expression gradually changed as she reached one particular page.

Her eyes stopped.

...Amon’s name was written clearly within the document.

Ambrosia slowly raised her head. "You’re giving Amon a portion of your business?"

Felicia nodded. "Yes."

Ambrosia stared at her for several seconds.

Felicia calmly explained, "Amon was the one who helped me find the lands."

She paused before looking directly at Ambrosia. "Didn’t he tell you?"

Ambrosia shook her head. "No."

She leaned back against the sofa and rubbed her face slowly.

For a moment, she looked genuinely tired. "He has been keeping a lot of secrets lately."

Felicia didn’t answer immediately.

She simply watched Ambrosia before finally speaking. "Amon’s rise to the top isn’t accidental."

Ambrosia lowered her hand and looked at her. "What do you mean?"

Felicia’s expression became slightly more serious.

"He’s much more than what he’s showing people." She paused. "Perhaps he’s receiving help from some higher being."

Ambrosia chuckled softly. "That sounds a little ridiculous."

But despite her words, the smile on her face didn’t quite reach her eyes.

Deep down, she had thought about the same possibility.

Whatever had happened to Amon during the past month was nothing short of a miracle.

His growth had been too sudden and his opportunities had appeared too conveniently.

The things he had accomplished were far beyond what anyone would normally expect from him.

Ambrosia lowered her gaze toward the documents again.

Felicia remained quiet for a while before speaking again. "You should probably be prepared for Amon to have more than one wife."

Ambrosia’s hand stopped moving as slowly, she raised her head.

Her eyes met Felicia’s. "...Are you?"

Felicia shook her head.

"Not yet." Felicia calmly took another sip of her coffee. "Though I still see Amon as my child."

Ambrosia stared at her with a completely blank expression. "...Not Yet?"

Felicia’s lips curved into a small smile. "Don’t you know your son has a thing for older women?"

It took her a long second to understand and once she did Ambrosia’s face immediately turned red.

Her fingers tightened around the pen.

She slowly lowered her head and returned her attention to the documents as if she had suddenly become extremely interested in every word written on the pages.

"I see." Her voice was unusually quiet.

Felicia’s smile widened slightly, her mind was working on things she was picking up.

Neither woman said anything after that.

The silence that followed lasted considerably longer than before.

The only sounds between them were the occasional turning of paper and the quiet clinking of cups from the surrounding tables.

Ambrosia eventually finished reviewing the documents.

She closed the file and placed her pen on top of it.

"Everything appears to be in order." She gathered the papers into a neat stack. "I can help you submit these and pass them to the court."

Felicia nodded. "I would be really thankful if you could."

Ambrosia smiled faintly. "Don’t worry about it."

She began organizing the documents back into their respective files.

Felicia picked up her coffee and took another slow sip.

For a few seconds, Ambrosia remained quiet.

Her expression was calm on the outside, but her thoughts were considerably less peaceful.

’...I need to talk with Amon soon.’

She glanced at the documents once more.

There were simply too many things she had learned about him recently.

She had a feeling that there were still many more things he hadn’t told her.

’....What are you upto now, my son?’
