Chapter 193: Spritual Connection and Reincarnation

  • Next Chapter

The night had already settled over the Vale family’s residence.

Amon sat comfortably on the sofa with a book resting in his hands, his attention completely focused on the pages.

The book was one he had borrowed from the university library, and its subject was something he had become increasingly interested in.

Soul, Spirits, and Their Connection.

Amon slowly turned another page. ’Things in this world are really fascinating.’

He had never thought much about souls in his previous life, but after everything he had experienced since arriving in this world, the subject had become impossible to ignore.

According to the book, when humans died, their souls would eventually enter the Soul World.

Once there, the soul would undergo a process of refinement that gradually stripped away the memories and experiences accumulated during its previous life.

Amon frowned slightly as he read the explanation. ’So people basically lose everything before being reincarnated.’

The process wasn’t identical for every soul.

Some souls would eventually become spiritual beasts or animals that wandered through the Spirit World, remaining there until the conditions for reincarnation were fulfilled.

Others retained more of their original form and continued to exist in the Spirit World for much longer periods.

There were even rare cases where a soul remained almost identical to the person it had been in the real world.

Amon’s fingers stopped turning the page. ’If that’s true, then what happens to me when I enter the Spirit World?’

He leaned back against the sofa and stared thoughtfully at the ceiling. ’Does that mean I’m partially dead whenever I go there?’

The thought sounded ridiculous yet the more he considered it, the more sense it seemed to make.

During his first accidental visit to the Spirit World, he had nearly lost himself completely.

His spirit had begun changing.

He had felt himself being pulled deeper into that world, almost as though something was trying to break down his very identity.

Amon slowly rubbed his chin. ’Maybe I was already beginning to get refined.’

The possibility made him uncomfortable.

He turned another page and focused on the section discussing souls that retained their original forms.

Those beings were apparently extremely rare.

Some remained because of extraordinary spiritual strength, while others were tied to powerful objects, locations, or unfinished matters from their previous lives.

Amon’s thoughts immediately returned to the Spirit World.

’If those souls can remain themselves...’ He narrowed his eyes. ’Can I bring them back to the real world?’

The idea immediately caught his interest.

It would be almost like creating a historical projection of someone who had already died.

Amon imagined what it would mean if he could communicate with ancient souls and perhaps even temporarily manifest them in the physical world.

’That could be incredibly useful.’

He continued reading, becoming more interested with every paragraph.

The book didn’t provide a definite answer.

Most of the information was based on observations made by spiritual researchers, and many theories remained unproven.

Amon was about to turn another page when he suddenly heard footsteps coming from the entrance.

He closed the book and looked up.

A moment later, Seraphina entered the living room carrying an absurd number of shopping bags.

Amon smiled. "Welcome home."

Seraphina looked at him and smiled brightly. "I’m glad to see you too."

Amon stood up and walked over to her, taking several of the bags from her hands.

"You bought this much?"

"There were so many good things."

Seraphina followed him into the living room before dropping onto the sofa with a tired sigh.

She stretched her arms above her head. "Shopping with a close friend is really fun."

Amon chuckled as he placed the bags beside the sofa. "Are you still not going to tell me her name?"

Seraphina immediately shook her head.

"No." She looked at him suspiciously. "If I tell you, you’ll try to fuck her."

Seraphina immediately covered her own mouth. Her eyes widened as she glanced around the room.

Amon couldn’t help but laugh. "Don’t worry. Aunt Marielle already went to sleep."

Seraphina slowly lowered her hand.

She narrowed her eyes. "Did you do something weird to my aunt while I wasn’t here?"

Amon smiled innocently. "I would never do something like that."

’She’s damn sharp.’

Seraphina continued staring at him for another moment before apparently deciding to believe him.

Her expression suddenly brightened. "Oh, I brought something for you."

She grabbed one of the shopping bags and pulled out several pieces of clothing. "I bought these for you."

She placed them against Amon’s chest one after another, examining him carefully.

Amon simply stood there and allowed her to do it.

Seraphina nodded with satisfaction. "These should fit you properly."

Amon looked down at the clothes. "How do you know my size?"

Seraphina’s cheeks turned slightly red. "I’ve known you inside and out."

Amon chuckled.

"That’s one way to put it." He suddenly remembered something. "Actually, I got something for you too."

Seraphina blinked. "For me?"

Amon nodded. He gently grabbed her hand and guided her back onto the sofa. "Close your eyes."

Seraphina looked suspiciously at him. "What are you planning?"

"Just close them."

She hesitated for a moment before finally closing her eyes.

Amon touched his spatial bracelet. A faint shimmer appeared as he retrieved the Ancient Spellcaster’s Staff.

He carefully placed it into Seraphina’s hands. "You can open them now."

Seraphina opened her eyes. Her gaze immediately fell onto the staff.

The moment her fingers wrapped around it, her expression turned blank. She could feel it.

The smooth flow of mana through the staff was unlike anything she had experienced before.

The blue mana core embedded near the top responded naturally to her presence, while the ancient runes carved along the dark wood seemed to almost come alive.

Seraphina stared at it in disbelief.

"Amon..." Her voice carried genuine emotion.

Amon smiled. "I can’t wait to see you use it."

Seraphina slowly placed the staff beside her. She suddenly leaned forward and kissed him.

Amon smiled against her lips, ignored the system notification and returned the kiss, wrapping his arms around her.

The kiss remained gentle and affectionate before Amon eventually picked her up.

Seraphina let out a quiet laugh as he carried her toward the bedroom.

Once they reached the room, Amon carefully set her down.

Seraphina touched his chest and smiled. "I need to take a bath."

Amon nodded. "Go ahead."

She quickly walked toward the bathroom and closed the door behind her.

Amon smiled as he watched her disappear and then his gaze shifted toward the wardrobe.

The door was slightly open and with a bright smile on his face Amon walked towards it.

He slowly walked toward it and pulled the door open.

His eyes landed on the lady of the wardrobe. Marielle was sitting inside.

Her face was bright red, and she looked as though she had been caught committing the greatest crime of her life.

For several seconds, neither of them said anything.

Amon slowly smiled as Marielle stared back at him.

Then Amon quietly closed the wardrobe door again.

He stood there for a moment before shaking his head. ’Tonight is going to be really long night.’

He thought as he touched his bracelet and took out a lube.
