100x Return System: I'm a Lustful Villain

Chapter 27: The Investment Return

Damon lay propped against the wooden headboard, his bare chest grayed by the pale dawn light creeping through the window .

Beside him, Eleanor slept soundly, her hair scattered over the coarse white pillow. Her breathing was slow and deep, her face smoothed of the terror and exhaustion that had gripped her in the warehouse.

In the room, a translucent interface flickered before Damon’s eyes. The script was floating silently in his vision.

[Bonded Partner: Eleanor]

[Bond Status: Confirmed]

[Bond Slot: 1/2]

[Favourability: 70/100]

[Return Multiplier: 70×]

Damon studied the floating text, his eyes narrowing slightly.

The system didn’t measure affection out of sentimentality. Favourability was a direct yield index. His mind dissected the thresholds instantly: 70 was emotional dependence mixed with residual fear, 80 represented unreserved love, 90 meant absolute devotion, and 100 marked complete, soul-level attachment.

At 100, the return reached its ceiling: a 100-fold return on whatever legitimate growth the Bonded Partner generated.

A cold grin touched Damon’s lips. He reached out, casually tracing a finger along Eleanor’s bare shoulder. He hadn’t just acquired a bed partner. He had acquired a high-yield asset.

The mechanism was precise. The system didn’t trigger if he simply handed her stolen cash or forced her to move dirty bills. The gains had to be legitimate - business revenue, personal profits, asset growth, or legal acquisitions executed under her name.

And Eleanor wasn’t a penniless street beggar. She owned Velour, a boutique with established branding, and she was the legal ex-wife of a dead corporate regional controller. Julian Sterling had left behind a web of companies, private storage facilities, distribution routes, and offshore accounts.

Damon dismissed the interface with a single thought.

He tapped her bare shoulder. "Wake up."

Eleanor stirred, her eyelashes fluttering before her eyes opened. She winced slightly, shifting under the heavy blanket, her body aching from the long, wild night. She looked up at Damon, her gaze instinctively searching his face.

"Damon..." her voice was raspy from sleep. "What time is it?"

"Past six," Damon said, sliding out of bed. His skin was smooth - the bullet wound on his thigh had fully closed into a faint white line, his broken ribs completely knit beneath his ribs. He pulled on a fresh pair of black trousers and a simple dark shirt. "Get dressed. You’re going to Velour."

Eleanor sat up, clutching the sheet to her chest. "Velour? But... Julian died last night. The warehouse... the police..."

"Julian died in an abandoned warehouse after bringing mercenaries to settle an illegal dispute," Damon said, his tone flat and conversational as he poured a glass of water. "The police will spend three days picking through the trash on 4th Street. Meanwhile, your boutique opens in two hours."

He turned, handing her the glass.

"You spent three years letting Julian choke your cash flow," Damon continued, his eyes locking onto hers. "Now the leash is broken. Go take your business back."

Eleanor took the glass, her fingers brushing his. A surge of determination cut through her fatigue. She wasn’t a victim anymore. The man who had terrorized her was cold meat on concrete, and the man standing in front of her expected her to act like a winner.

"Okay," she whispered, her voice tightening with purpose. "I’ll go."

By ten in the morning, the sun washed over the polished glass storefront of Velour.

Inside the back office, the atmosphere was completely different from forty-eight hours ago. There were no frantic phone calls from aggressive debt collectors, no threat of cancelled shipping leases .

The office door creaked open. Vance, the regional manager of Apex Logistics, stepped inside.

He looked terrible. Dark circles bruised his eyes, his sweat-stained collar was unbuttoned, and his hands trembled as he clutched a thick leather briefcase. The memory of Damon choking him on his own desk was still burned into his mind.

"E-Eleanor," Vance stammered, swallowing hard as he placed the briefcase on her desk. "I... I brought the releases."

Eleanor sat behind her desk, wearing a tailored cream blazer, her hair pinned up neatly. She didn’t flinch. She opened the briefcase, revealing stacked legal releases, unblocked distribution contracts, and a cashier’s check made out directly to Velour.

"What is this?" Eleanor asked, keeping her tone cool.

"Julian... Mr. Sterling had frozen ten thousand dollars in supplier rebates owed to Velour over the last six months," Vance explained frantically, wiping his forehead with a handkerchief. "He forced us to hold the funds in a secondary account. I signed the release this morning. It’s legitimate, fully cleared by the bank, and transferred directly into your business account."

Eleanor looked at the official bank draft stamped with Apex Logistics’ corporate seal. Ten thousand dollars. Money that Julian had illegally withheld to starve her boutique out of existence.

"Is the transfer complete?" she asked.

"Yes! Yes, it hit your primary commercial account twenty minutes ago!" Vance nodded rapidly. "Please... just tell your consultant that I complied completely. I don’t want any trouble."

"You can go, Vance," She said flatly.

The man practically sprinted out of the boutique, the front door chime ringing sharply behind him.

She leaned back in her chair, holding the deposit receipt. For the first time in years, her business was generating real, unobstructed cash flow. She felt awave of relief, her heart swelling with an intense gratitude toward Damon.

Across town, Damon sat in a quiet booth at a low-end diner near his apartment building, sipping black coffee.

A cold pulse flashed directly in his mind.

[Bonded Partner Eleanor has generated legitimate financial growth: $10,000]

[Favourability Multiplier Applied: 70×]

[Calculating Return...]

[Deposit Confirmed: $700,000 transferred to host’s primary commercial account]

Damon’s coffee cup stayed perfectly still in his hand.

His phone buzzed on the table. He picked it up, unlocking the screen to view a encrypted banking alert.

Account Balance: $700,000.00

He set the phone down. His eyes narrowed as his mind processed the sheer scale of the conversion.

Ten thousand dollars in cleared business rebates had instantly multiplied into seven hundred thousand dollars of liquid cash sitting in his private account.

Not seven thousand. Seven hundred thousand.

He leaned back against the booth, staring at the green numbers on his phone.

If Eleanor cleared fifty thousand next month, that was three point five million. If she cleared a hundred thousand, it was seven million.

And She was currently operating a single boutique in the North District.

His mind immediately shifted away from Velour. Julian Sterling had owned the Sterling family’s apparel empire - a regional juggernaut with three distribution warehouses, two private freight lines, five commercial real estate holdings, and millions held in corporate accounts. Julian was dead, but those assets were currently floating in a legal vacuum, waiting for someone to claim them.

If Damon took those corporate assets for himself, they were just stolen property.

But if Eleanor used her status as Julian’s legal ex-wife, forced Vance and the board to hand over the controlling shares, and annexed Sterling Apparel Group under Velour...

Every single dollar of growth, every liquidated asset, and every commercial contract she signed would trigger the 70× multiplier and even more.

Damon picked up his coffee, taking a slow sip.

He hadn’t just freed Eleanor from Julian’s grip. He was going to make her take everything Julian had ever built and convert his first Bonded Partner into a multi-million dollar money engine.
