"I bid TWENTY THOUSAND!"

Gu Bao’s bid echoed through the tavern of the Lustful Spring Pavilion, his chest heaving with arrogant pride as he slammed a heavy, ornate spatial pouch directly onto the wooden table.

He was so eager to taste that "Untouched Jade Beauty," that he was outbidding his own bid.

Twenty thousand Medium-Grade Spirit Stones was an absolutely staggering sum capable of funding a clan like his own for a couple of years easily.

But Gu Bao didn’t care. Right now, looking down the deep, tantalizing cleavage of the mysterious Madam Zhao, he could only imagine the "untouched Jade Beauty" waiting upstairs.

His body was burning with lust that had completely overridden whatever pathetic excuse for a brain he possessed.

"Does anyone else dare to bid against me?!" Gu Bao bellowed, spinning around to glare murderously at the silent crowd of shocked mercenaries and wide-eyed rogue cultivators, "I will break the legs of anyone who opens their mouth!"

Madam Zhao smiled beneath her delicate black silk mask, fully intending to start the countdown and claim the massive fortune, but before she could, something unexpected happened.

"Twenty thousand?" a raspy, incredibly arrogant voice scoffed from the elevated VIP booths overlooking the main hall, "What a joke? I swear, the quality of this brothel is only getting worse. They just let anyone in these days."

"Who dares!" Gu Bao’s head whipped around towards the source, and his eyes locked onto a fat, richly dressed old man leaning against the wooden railing with a cup of premium wine in his hand, looking down at Gu Bao with undisguised contempt.

It was Song Boyan, or as one would remember him as the Second Elder of the Song Clan.

He was here by chance to spend the embezzled clan funds to nourish his old bones with a young, pretty dual cultivation partner.

"You call that a winning bid?" Song Boyan sneered, his fat belly jiggling as he spat a mouthful of grape seeds onto the floorboards below, "The great Gu Clan must be suffering from a severe drought if that’s all the ’true heir’ can scrape together for a Central Continent Jade Beauty!"

Gu Bao’s face turned ugly.

"Song Boyan, you fat, greedy pig!" Gu Bao screamed, drawing his sword halfway out of its scabbard as he glared up at the balcony, "Do you have a death wish?!"

"I don’t have a death wish yet, little one," Song Boyan sneered, "But what I do have is that I have twenty five thousand Medium-Grade Spirit Stones for the beauty!"

Song Boyan then turned towards Madam Zhao and yelled, pointing his finger directly at Gu Bao’s chest, "I bid TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND! The Gu Clan can’t afford this, so go back home to your mommy, little boy, suck on her breasts. That’s the only thing you can afford."

The entire tavern collectively gasped, absolutely paralyzed by the sheer audacity of the Song Clan elder openly slapping the Gu Clan heir’s face in public.

For decades Song Clan has avoided openly clashing with the Gu clan and the bai Clan. But to think now an elder of a Song Clan would bicker with a Gu Clan junior?

While everyone pondered, for Gu Bao, those specific words... go back to your mommy... struck the deepest nerve in him, instantly flashing his mind back to the humiliating scene in the garden where his mother looked at him with cold disdain while that bastard cripple Gu Fan smirked arrogantly right beside her.

His vision went completely red, and his rationality snapped like a dry twig.

"You dare mock me?!" Gu Bao shrieked, his voice cracking with madness as he grabbed a nearby table and overturned it in his frenzy, "You think your pathetic Song Family can compete against the Li Clan backing me?!

"I will show you what true, undeniable wealth looks like!" Gu Bao screamed at the top of his lungs, his spit flying across the room, "THIRTY THOUSAND! I bid thirty thousand spirit stones! Match that you old pig."

Song Boyan’s eyes narrowed instantly, he did not think a junior from a pathetic clan like Gu could actually pull out such a huge amount of spirit stones.

But since he craved the pure Yin essence of a virgin beauty, hoping to break through his stagnant cultivation, he could not help but tighten his grip.

"Thirty-Five thousand!" Song Boyan gritted his teeth as he bleeded his reserve, "Fuck off, boy! You are out of your league, brat!"

"AHHHH! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" Gu Bao roared, completely losing his mind as he tore the remaining spatial rings off his fingers, slamming them violently onto the shattered table.

Right now, he was draining absolutely everything, throwing away every single spirit stone he had received from the Li Clan to fund his political coup.

"FIFTY THOUSAND!" Gu Bao screamed, his voice tearing through the tavern as he slammed all his rings in front of Madam Zhao, "Fifty thousand Medium-Grade Spirit Stones! She is MINE! SHE IS MINE!"

Gu Bao whirled around, glaring murderously up at the VIP balcony, his Spiritual Qi flaring so violently that several nearby chairs shattered into splinters.

"Bid again, you old fuck! I fucking dare you! Bid again and I will sever your fat head right now!"

Up on the balcony, Song Boyan entirely froze.

His fat face rapidly turned purple, suffocated by sheer humiliation. Thirty-Five thousand Spirit Stones was his absolute maximum limit. His hands trembled as he gripped the wooden railing, unable to utter a single word to counter the bid.

"What’s wrong, you fat old pig?!" Gu Bao laughed maniacally, pointing his sword directly at the trembling elder, completely relishing the absolute destruction of the older man’s pride.

"Weren’t you smug just now? What happened? Ran out of stones?"

"Fucking old coot, acting so high and mighty."

"You are nothing but a pathetic beggar!"

"Now sit back down and shut your fucking mouth before I drag you down here and make you lick my boots!"

Song Boyan practically choked on his own fury, his Dao heart violently cracking from the intense public humiliation before he forcefully turned around and retreated into the shadows of his booth, losing all face in front of the town’s most ruthless mercenaries.

Gu Bao stood panting heavily, his chest heaving as the adrenaline and boiling rage slowly settled, knowing he had won, he had absolutely crushed the competition and asserted his dominance, but the cost? Well there is no value to gaining face in front of such an audience.

Meanwhile, Madam Zhao smiled brightly beneath her delicate black silk mask, her eyes flashing with delight as she gracefully stepped forward to waving her hand, effortlessly sweeping the bunch of Spatial rings from the table into her own spatial ring in a single, smooth motion.

Once she had secured the funds, it was time for Madam Zhao to continue the play forward.

"A magnificent display of supreme power and wealth, Second Young Master," Madam Zhao praised smoothly, her sultry voice deliberately stroking his inflated ego, "Truly... You have no competition in the entire Poison Valley Town."

Madam Zhao courteously bowed in front of Gu Bao as she gestured gracefully toward the grand staircase, "Now that you have decisively won the auction, please follow my servants directly upstairs to the top-floor VIP suite..."

"Your reward is eagerly waiting for you."
