As soon as the call ended, the president’s secretary’s office immediately called the surveillance room to verify that the call just now was genuine and informed them that the authorization documents would be sent over immediately.

The guard was surprised that just checking a license plate number would alarm the president, and looked at Meimei with a changed expression.

She ran breathlessly to Area A’s parking lot and finally saw the familiar car parked in the outermost parking space.

Meimei let out a long breath of relief, quickened her steps towards him, and as she got closer, realized he’d stretched a hand out of the car window, holding a lit cigarette.

"Jiang Nan..." Meimei softly called out, as if unsure.

"It’s me, only two days have passed, and you can’t recognize me anymore, why are you staring at me like that?" Jiang Nan moderately tightened his grip on her hand, looking down at her, his tone casual as if nothing had happened.
