"Mom! What’s wrong?" Qin Shuang and others returned from a walk and were immediately told that Grandma Qin had been sent to the hospital, prompting the Qin family to rush there.

"What happened? How did she fall all of a sudden?" Qin Xiaoyi also came over, frowning at the sight of his wife in such a state.

"Xiao Xiao? Why are you here too? How did my mom fall? Did you see it?" Only then did Qin Shuang notice Fu Xiaoxiao nearby, as the Lu Family lived next door, and Fu Xiaoxiao likely witnessed what happened.

"It was your nephew who pushed her. He argued with your mother for a bit, and when she grabbed him to stop him from leaving, he got angry, pushed her away, and ran out." Fu Xiaoxiao explained to Qin Shuang.

"I figured it was him!" Qin Shuang frowned angrily.

"Xiao Ye is still immature, don’t blame him." Grandma Qin couldn’t help but speak up for Qin Ye upon hearing Qin Shuang’s words.

"It’s not the first time this happened. He’s becoming increasingly mischievous, throwing tantrums and breaking things over trivial matters, and you still think that’s minor? Look at how this has become!" Qin Shuang became furious upon hearing her mother defend Qin Ye again.

They never held him accountable for his wrongdoings, which led him to not recognize his mistakes as significant.

"He didn’t do it on purpose..." Grandma Qin murmured softly.

Fu Xiaoxiao shook her head. "People always say ’small’ is the perfect excuse—stealing is just being young and unaware, hitting others is just lacking strength—so when it escalates, will ’he’s still small and unaware’ be enough to dismiss it? Grandma Qin, are you loving your grandson or harming him?"

"How could I harm him? He’s my grandson, my precious child whom I raised." Grandma Qin looked at Fu Xiaoxiao, eager to explain.

Fu Xiaoxiao sighed lightly, her tone laced with regret. "Precisely because he’s your precious child, he needs to learn the difference between right and wrong. Protecting him now to evade responsibility, if he causes big trouble later, will you use your old bones to shield him forever?"

"I, I, I..." Grandma Qin was rendered speechless by Fu Xiaoxiao’s questioning.

Fu Xiaoxiao held Lu Chen and Lu Lin’s hands, nodded to them, and followed Lu Feng out of the ward.

Just after leaving the ward, Fu Xiaoxiao heard Qin Shuang’s angry shout from inside.

"Still young, still young, still young, you always say he’s young, yet he’s already a half-grown lad, are you still going to coddle him?"

Fu Xiaoxiao shook her head, hearing Qin Shuang’s angry shout, she knew the two elders were once again making excuses for Qin Ye.

When they got home, there stood a man at the Qin family’s door, holding a rebellious Qin Ye in one hand.

Fu Xiaoxiao hadn’t seen this man before, but seeing his features bear some resemblance to Qin Ye, he should be Qin Ye’s father.

"Why do you have to discipline me? You didn’t care before, now you’re telling me things, let go of me! Let me go!" Qin Ye struggled, even kicking, but couldn’t make the man release him.

Qin Lang looked at Qin Ye, eyes filled with anger. "Because I’m your dad, no matter how old you are, I can discipline you."

"Now you realize you’re the kid’s father? Where were you when he needed you? When it was time for you to discipline him, where were you?" Liu Lili coldly stepped out from the house, walked up to free Qin Ye.

Qin Ye hugged Liu Lili, hiding behind her, refusing to look at Qin Lang. "I don’t need you, leave!"

"Lili!" Qin Lang looked at his wife, but Liu Lili didn’t want to hear him. "Leaving us at home, ignoring us for years, now you’re stepping in as the strict dad?"

"I didn’t mean it that way." Qin Lang tried to say something but Liu Lili wasn’t willing to listen.

"Regardless of what you mean, don’t think to solve this with violence." Liu Lili stated coldly, not allowing Qin Lang to lay hands on Qin Ye.

"Then what exactly do you want me to do to satisfy you?" Qin Lang looked at Liu Lili with a stern face. "You’re never pleased, you say I’m late when I act, you claim I don’t care when I don’t act. Give me a word, what do you want?"

Fu Xiaoxiao felt frustrated hearing this, resentment and love overlapping, loving while hating, wanting him gone yet not wanting him gone.

"Let’s go, let’s go, we’ll head home! This is other people’s family affair." Fu Xiaoxiao pulled Lu Feng, heading towards home.

Qin Lang then noticed Fu Xiaoxiao and Lu Feng, already hearing the story from Qin Shuang’s mouth, Qin Lang approached, looking at Lu Feng. "Thank you for saving my mother and taking her to the hospital."

"Being neighbors, we just lent a hand when we saw." Lu Feng replied blandly. "But you’ve been arguing for ages without hitting the point."

"Sorry, for letting you witness this joke." Qin Lang irritably scratched his head.

He truly didn’t know what to do!

Liu Lili brought Qin Ye over to Fu Xiaoxiao and Lu Feng. "Sorry, my son caused you trouble, thank you for saving my mother-in-law."

With that, she ignored Qin Lang, taking Qin Ye back inside.

Seeing this, Qin Lang felt even more exasperated.

"How about coming to my house to sit for a while." Fu Xiaoxiao felt awkward just standing there, indecisive, so she simply invited him to sit at her place.

"Thank you." Qin Lang was also at a loss, not knowing what to do.

He followed Lu Feng inside, Fu Xiaoxiao made him a cup of tea.

"Xiao Lin, Xiao Chen, it’s time for your bath and bed." Fu Xiaoxiao reminded Lu Lin and Lu Chen.

"Okay, mom! We’ll go right now." Lu Chen obediently put away his toys, ran to the room to get clothes, while Lu Lin carried the bucket, prepped warm water, and they went in together for their bath.

Seeing Lu Lin and Lu Chen being so obedient, Qin Lang watched for a long time and couldn’t help but ask Lu Feng.

"How do you teach your children? They’re so well-behaved." This was a scene Qin Lang had never seen, Qin Ye wouldn’t do anything without multiple requests, sometimes even getting angry wouldn’t necessarily make him move.

Bathing, eating, getting up in the morning, dressing, none of it could be done independently, his mother was always there assisting him.

"Simple, respect and delegation." Lu Feng glanced at Qin Lang, saying.

"Can you elaborate?" Qin Lang wanted to hear more, he was genuinely curious, why Lu Lin and Lu Chen could act just by hearing instructions.
