Chapter 342: Registry!

Alexa had then spent thousand upon thousand of hours explaining herself, but the gist of it could be resumed into the simplest of explanations. Alexa was innocent! She had done nothing!

It took some convincing, but they eventually believed Alexa, all it took was for her to point how whatever had happened was when Alexa was not out, and the fact that there were some moments that Alexa hadn't been able to snoop at what Ale was doing helped!

Apparently [Big Brother] had lost the ability to snoop at Ale during those exact moments too!

"So you are a voyeuristic after all." [Fan Girl] said shuddering and looking at [Big Brother].

"… Just because I like to look at the chisme while its happening…" [Big Brother] said groaning, "I don't look at people who isn't aware of it, also I only get to see stuff that isn't private. If it happens in a private setting I can only watch it if it is clearly stated that the surveillance may end up being seen."

Yeah! [Big Brother] was not a snooper! He was a not snooper! He only snooped when people knew he would snoop! So it wasn't snooping since they knew he was snooping!

"Right…" [Fan Girl] said shaking her head, "So, are you showing us around? Or why did you come around?"

"To complain mostly." [Big Brother] said as he pointed at the blue screen that had been hovering near them, he moved his hand here and there, as if he was writing something, "You are aware of what degree of power you could wield, right?"

"Your scientist made it hard to not known with all their theories." [Fan Girl] nodded as she grumbled about privacy or something, "I did use some of their ideas here and there when I was pretending to be a Wind Core user."

"Good." [Big Brother] then turned to [Meat Shield], "As for you Eduardo… There is no easy way to say this, so here its the deal."

[Meat Shield] moved forward and stood tall in front of [Big Brother].

"Don't sweeten the deal." [Meat shield] said with his gravely voice, "I don't like it when people dance around the deal, just tell me it straight."

"I can't help you." [Big Brother] stated, "I could have done something before when you were a chunk of attuned [Mana] clinging to a broken [Core]."

The blue screen showed pictures of [Meat Shield] as nothing more than a pile of rocks on the ground, the images then highlighted the point of impact each [Bolter Round] did and how they got through his body, it even showed how they distorted the [Mana] on [Meat Shield]!

[Big Brother] had done his work!

"Let me explain." [Big Brother] then went around explaining all that Alexa had resumed, but in a more complicated way that Alexa tuned out because it sounded boring! "So, as I said. At that point you were in the most perfect state to convince what you would qualify as soul, and what Alexa called [Consciousness Stream] into a new form."

"… Would destroying this body achieve that point again?" [Meat Shield] asked as his body split open and the compact form he had shown to Ale before when they were on the apartment! "How much do you need me to slim down? I have carved most of my body at some point or another, but I rarely have managed to get less than this amount of mass. I assume you would be able to achieve that? Since your Core Power seems to allow you to do some things I didn't know Thunder could do."

"I am [Lightning]." [Big Brother] stated as a discharge of Lightning coursed through his body, "And yes, I could probably trim your form down till you are nothing more than a [Core]. But that is besides the point, you would be asking me to mutilate you, with no option for relieving the pain. Even if I did it in the same way those bastards did, the amount of pain would be more than your [Core] can tolerate. I would be killing you."

"Let's do it." [Meat Shield] moved forward, "When can we get this done? I would rather sooner, as I have classes soon."

"No." "Are you mad?"

Both [Fan Girl] and [Big Brother] looked at each other, as both had spoken almost at the same time.

"I refuse." [Big Brother] spoke yet again, after coughing into his hand, "Ale decided that you should know, so I'll respect her choice. I am telling you now, so if the opportunity presents itself. Then I'll have it lodged and act accordingly."

"… If the opportunity presents itself?" [Meat Shield] asked frowning, "You expect me to end up like that again? What kind of circumstances could end up with me like that again?"

"You tell me." [Big Brother] said arching one of his eyebrows at [Meat Shield], "Or did Ale not tell you?"

"Tell me what?" [Meat Shield] was confused, he turned to look at [Fan Girl], "Was there something else?"

"Ale is planning to settle this debt with whoever ordered the attack." [Big Brother] smiled evilly at that statement! He was planning to do bad guy stuff! "So I'll respect that choice. So if you for some reason decide to not help her settle that blood debt, then perhaps you will be safe. But should you decide to stick with her…"

"We will stick together." [Meat Shield] said nodding, "If she is fighting for our sake, its only fair we have her back."

"You don't need to ask." [Fan Girl] said also nodding, "Unlike someone else who isn't doing anything even though they came all high and mighty."

"…" [Big Brother] just stared at [Fan Girl], he didn't even say anything. Just… stared at her. "I respect boundaries, I asked Ale if she wanted me to deal with it. She said no. So I will respect her wishes."

"… Just like that?" [Fan Girl] didn't seem to believe it, "No overreaching young master whose pride got bruised?"

"No." [Big Brother] said shaking his head, "I don't care what the people think of me, I honestly couldn't care less about what the peasants and heathens make about me. But you can be sure as hell that I respect boundaries, if Ale says she wants to deal with it. I'll believe in her, if she ask for my help, then I'll provide said help."

"So if Ale had said yes…" [Fan Girl] then asked just in case.

"I would dealt with it." [Big Brother] said with a shrug, "If to deal with it I had to nuke a couple cities well, though luck."

"… Cities?" [Meat shield] seemed surprised at the magnitude of what [Big Brother] was dealing with, "Not buildings?"

"You all really need to get out of the kiddie leagues." [Big Brother] said laughing, "Most of the people that can field something capable of dealing with a couple B-list [Minions] are the kind of people who are entrenched into their domains."

"… We are C-list." [Meat Shield] said pointing at his carcass that he had left behind.

"Don't make me repeat myself, you may pretend to be less powerful. But when you are done with a a couple weeks of the programs on your respective schools you will be at the very least qualify as B-List." [Big Brother] smirked as he threw two blue screens at them, one for [Fan Girl] and other for [Meat Shield], "Put your phones in front of those, they will download your syllabus."

"… I though the schools had independent sponsors…" [Fan Girl] spoke with some trepidation as she did as instructed, "How do you have this?"

"… You do know whose island is this right?" [Big Brother] laughed at her while pointing at the floor, "This is my island. Why wouldn't I have access to stuff that happens on my island. Man, you will have a hard time on the first week… Anyway, fill the prompt with the data you want to go by. It will be better for you to do that now."

Then looking at Alexa, [Big Brother] frowned.

"Alexa is innocent!" Alexa pre empty defended herself, she didn't want to be scolded like [Fan Girl] had been!

"Do you want to fill it yourself, should we let Ale fill it. Or do you want me to fill it?" [Big Brother] asked as he pulled out another blue screen, "We can also let Eversoul do it I guess…"

"Ale is eeping!" Alexa said helpfully, "The [Mom] person is at work, so Alexa doesn't mind if [Big Brother] wants to fill it for her! But only if [Big Brother] wants to do it!"

Alexa really wouldn't mind it if [Big Brother] wanted to do it. She really wouldn't mind at all!

"Only if I want huh…" [Big Brother] said with a smile on his face, "Fair."

Awawawawawawawa, he didn't get it!

"Then let's see." [Big Brother] then sat on the ground besides Alexa, he moved super fast! Like wooosh and he was seated besides Alexa!

[Fan Girl] even jumped a little when he moved like that! Not like [Meat Shield] who was all stoic and stuff!

"So, let's see how it looks…" [Big Brother] then showed Alexa the thing! It was a blue screen like the one [Core] occasionally showed Alexa! But with other stuff in it!

"…. ?" Alexa was confuse!

"What is this supposed to be? A joke?" [Fan Girl] said also confused! "We already filled this crap when we registered to the school, did we not?"

"That one was for our government files." [Big Brother] answered as he smiled and went over the stuff that was shown to Alexa, "We have three archive files for each citizen, the one we compile, the one you give us, and the one we show to others."

"So…" [Meat Shield] spoke as he went over his own and started filling the stuff in it, "I assume this one will be the one that will be shown to other people?"

"Got it in one." [Big Brother] nodded, "Whatever you put in name will be how the people working for Aquila will refer to you, if you go to the government office, they will use the name you put in there. So if you call yourself something like… I don't know, Mothra? Then your teacher will use that as a way to ask for you. So don't put stuff you will regret."

Mothra? Who would even call themselves like that? It sounded like a weird bug.

"Alexa wants to be called as Alexa!" Alexa said helpfully.

"Then we put in the Name part Alexa." As [Big Brother] spoke, the bit with the name part got filled, "Alexa Saintsworths."

"As for species, Alexa is the cutestests [Human] of them all!" Alexa said nodding sagely.

"Obviously." [Big Brother] nodded in understanding, he really was the one who got Alexa the most, no complaining or anything! "Species: Human (Cutestest of them all). Ready."

"… Is that a joke?" [Fan Girl] asked confused, "Why do you even have a spot for that? Did you invite aliens or something?"

"We actually accept anything." [Big Brother] shrugged, "If they are sapient or sentient, they can come study with us. We have a couple ants and a very aggressive potted plant from the death desert thing. We haven't managed to convince any of the megafauna from either the ocean or sky to come… but the negotiations continue."

"… You are mad." [Fan Girl] stated, "Without any shred of doubt, you are mad."

"I mean… Is humanity even that special to begin with?" [Big Brother] asked with a sigh, "What makes a human special? Their perceived [Soul]? What would you say if I told you that there was an experiment where they separated the vital parts of a human body to attempt to find out where the soul resided?"

"That they probably were a supervillain that got caught and executed." [Fan Girl] answered with a frown, "They got caught, right? The experiment didn't proceed… No way they would have kept that under wraps… No one has… No…"

"They got caught? Yes. The experiment… We didn't make it in time to stop it, but the data got scrapped. I made sure of that, no one ever can replicate that again. The lead scientist got what he deserved, and hell…" [Big Brother] smile once again turned evil! If Alexa was to describe it in a way it would be [Feral], "He even got to experience the fragility of the human [Soul] by himself."

"I don't want to know." [Big Sister] shuddered, "I really don't want to know, do I?"

"He wasn't the first to try and quantify the [Soul]," [Big Brother] sighed in defeat, "So many dumbasses wanting to find it, or prove it exists. We just helped him into another example of a successful experiment to try and find the same. He did not make it, it was a sad day. So sad we had a Pizza party for all the employees that day. Very sad, they even got a couple weeks of PTO."

"… Very sad," [Fan Girl] deadpanned.

"Age!" Alexa said pointing at the blue screen, [Big Brother] was getting distracted!

"Five." [Big Brother] wrote in one go, he didn't even ask Alexa! "Core User… Yes."

"Isn't that private?" [Fan Girl] said with a frown, "Maybe wait for Ale to wake up? She can fill that part as she goes over her own?"

"… Do you think Alexa can keep her [Core Power] secret? In a school where almost everyone will have one? And those that don't will be using artifacts or devices to simulate [Core Powers]? Really?" [Big Brother] then pointed at [Meat Shield] "People like Eduardo will be so common that it would be harder to find someone who doesn't have a [Core Power]. I expect that 99% of the people on this island will have a [Core Power] in one way or the other."

"… Did you accept only Core users?" [Meat Shield] asked, "I don't remember that being a requirement."

"It was not." [Big Brother] said shaking his head, "What I did not mention is that one of the experiments going on this island is that, the act of [Triggering] a [Core]. All the schools will have a couple ways to stimulate the [Core]. And the whole island is passively increasing the efficiency rate at which the bodies of the people are saturated with Mana."

Alexa did notice that! That there was more [Mana] here.

"So it will be easier for new [Core User] to trigger. It is why we have hospitals and clinics available to all. And why the surveillance system is so spread." [Big Brother] finished placing the information of Alexa.

"What do we put on rank?" [Meat Shield] asked as he noticed that [Big Brother] had finished writing.

"Leave that one as is. You can't fill it yourself without admin privileges." [Big Brother] answered, "I can check yours if you want, to make sure there are no issues."

And so, Alexa got to see the other two!
