Zhuang Chujiao felt that these people tonight were purposely giving her a hard time. She didn’t want Jiang Yutai to know about her past, so she excused herself to go to the bathroom and sent a text to Guan Chao to come out.

Before long, Guan Chao came out of the private room.

"What exactly are you trying to do?" Zhuang Chujiao stared at him and questioned.

Guan Chao raised an eyebrow, "What could I be doing? It’s your boyfriend who invited me. How about I tell him you don’t want to see me, and I’ll leave now?"

"You!" Zhuang Chujiao glared at him angrily. This man was threatening her.

Guan Chao raised his hand, stroking her cheek, and chuckled, "Jiaojiao, your taste in men is really not good. Out of all people, you chose the least capable man from the Jiang Family."

"If not him, then who, you? How are you any better than him?" Zhuang Chujiao retorted sarcastically.

Guan Chao’s lips curled slightly, "There are plenty of ways I’m better. I’m the only heir of the Guan Family in this generation. Marry me, and you’ll be in charge of the entire Guan Family’s future."

Zhuang Chujiao’s heart fluttered slightly, but her voice remained aloof, "Why would I marry you? Guan Chao, others might not know what you really are, but I do."

"Precisely because you know, it proves we’re the most suited for each other," Guan Chao smiled, caressing Zhuang Chujiao’s cheek and slightly frowning, "Your skin doesn’t seem as good as it used to be. It seems like you haven’t been doing too well lately."

Of course not. Jiang Yutai tormented her every night, and with issues in her heart, she wasn’t resting well, making her complexion naturally bad.

Guan Chao looked at Zhuang Chujiao with amusement, "Jiaojiao, you’re taking everyone for fools. A man like Jiang Jingheng is not someone you can outsmart. Let me be honest with you, even though he drank the sleeping pills you gave him, he was fully conscious by the time he returned to his room. If you really helped him to your bed, you wouldn’t even know how you ended up dying."

Zhuang Chujiao remained silent, expressionless.

Guan Chao leaned in, chuckling softly, "Besides, didn’t I serve you well that night? You were so loud that I was afraid of alerting your parents and grandparents."

Zhuang Chujiao glared at him, "Shut up."

Guan Chao’s lips curled, "Jiaojiao, it’s fine to pretend in front of Jiang Yutai, but why pretend in front of me? We’ve spent more time in bed together than you have with him. Consider coming back to Beijing with me."

Zhuang Chujiao gave him a doubtful glance, "Would you really marry me?"

Guan Chao smiled, "Of course. How could I not be responsible as your first man? Lately, I’ve been missing you a lot."

As he spoke, he leaned in, sniffed Zhuang Chujiao’s hair, and then lowered his head to kiss her.

Although Zhuang Chujiao didn’t like Guan Chao, to be fair, he was much better than Jiang Yutai, and when they first got together, she had feelings for him. It was only after meeting Jiang Jingheng that her heart turned solely to him.

Thinking of this, Zhuang Chujiao closed her eyes, allowing him to kiss her.
