Chapter 1451: Chapter 1441: The Truth

Last night, Mu Yan seemed heartbroken, but this morning she’s cleared up, has she figured things out?

Of course, Kong Lizhen hopes she stays in a good mood, but doesn’t know if she’s happy because they’ve reconciled or because it’s completely over.

"Given the current situation," Mu Yan said calmly, "Godmother, don’t worry about these things."

She took out a pink and blue dress from the wardrobe and asked, "Godmother, do you think I look good in this dress for shopping?"

Kong Lizhen replied without hesitation, "You look good."

Mu Yan noticed that she didn’t even glance at the dress, pouted, and put it back into the wardrobe to choose another.

Soon, breakfast was delivered.

Although Mu Yan looked healthy, she felt nauseated after eating just a few bites of breakfast.

Seeing her cover her mouth, looking like she was about to vomit, Kong Lizhen asked, "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing, just feel this fish is too fishy," Mu Yan frowned and said.

Kong Lizhen glanced at the fish and said, "Then don’t eat fish, eat something else."

Something flashed in her mind, and she suddenly looked at Mu Yan.

Mu Yan picked up a piece of green vegetable to eat, and didn’t feel nauseated anymore.

Seeing her eat a couple of bites of other vegetables without any issues, Kong Lizhen thought maybe she was overthinking it, given that she had taken contraceptive pills earlier.

After breakfast, Kong Lizhen took Mu Yan out for shopping.

Just as they stepped out of the hotel entrance, a crowd rushed over, surrounding Mu Yan.

"Mu Yan, is it true that your marriage with President Jiang is changing?"

"Was President Jiang’s marriage to you for the Zhuang family’s benefit?"

"Mu Yan, was your lead actress role taken away under President Jiang’s direction?"

...

The reporters threw questions at her, but Mu Yan remained unfazed, struggling to move forward step by step.

The bodyguards with Kong Lizhen quickly stepped in and separated the reporters.

Kong Lizhen looked at Mu Yan and asked, "Are you okay?"

"I’m fine," Mu Yan shook her head and kept walking.

The reporters weren’t willing to let her go easily, dodging the bodyguards to chase after her frantically.

"Mu Yan, are you really going to divorce President Jiang?"

"Mu Yan, what exactly is the relationship between President Jiang and Miss Song Yan?"

"Is it true that you’re planning to temporarily leave the entertainment industry due to heartbreak?"

...

Kong Lizhen looked at the reporters, feeling irritated.

"Mu Yan won’t answer your questions, please step aside."

She said, turning back to order the bodyguards to clear the way.

The bodyguards decisively pushed the reporters aside, paving the way for Mu Yan.

But Mu Yan stood still, not moving, and when Kong Lizhen was about to pull her, she was instead stopped by Mu Yan grabbing her hand.

She looked at the reporters and said, "Even though I’m a public figure, I haven’t cheated, been a mistress, or used marriage for any gain, setting a negative example for the public, so I don’t need to answer your first question."

She paused and continued, "Moreover, you should ask President Jiang and Miss Song Yan directly about their relationship. I’m not familiar with Miss Song Yan, nor has he mentioned her to me. Finally, I’m not heartbroken and won’t leave the entertainment industry. I’ve answered your questions, may I leave now?"

The reporters looked at each other, thinking they’d come for nothing today, surprised by her cooperation.

Mu Yan sat in the car, rubbed her brow, feeling a bit dizzy; the sudden rush of people earlier really startled her.

Kong Lizhen looked at Mu Yan, frowned, and said, "You don’t have to bother with those reporters, they’ll just write nonsense anyway."

Mu Yan said calmly, "If I don’t speak, will they not write?"

"As you said, speaking or not makes no difference, why waste energy,"

"No." Mu Yan turned to look out the window; the sky was clear today, blue skies and white clouds, making one’s heart exceptionally peaceful. "If I don’t speak, it will forever remain guesswork for others. If I speak, it becomes the truth."
